Kajal Aggarwal turns as Agent

After a couple of debacles, King Nagarjuna is being very meticulous in his choice of scripts. His Wild Dog movie trailer has received a good response and is all set to release on April 2nd. He also signed a Movie in the direction of Praveen Sattaru. Praveen Sattaru is known for critically acclaimed films like PSV Garuda Vega and Chandamama Kathalu. Kajal Aggarwal has been signed as the lead heroine for the project and it will be her first film with Nagarjuna. Unlike her regular glamorous roles, this one will be quite different as she will play a RAW agent in the film. She will be required to sport a fit look and undergo training sessions in handling combat weapons. Her look and styling will be completely different for this badass character of hers. In the film, Nagarjuna plays an ex-RAW agent and Kajal plays the role of a RAW agent who helps him in his mission. Director Praveen Sattaru chose Kajal since she would complement Nagarjuna with her screen presence as she is tall. In addition to combat weapons training, Kajal will also undergo training in Mixed Martial Arts and various other self-defense techniques. The movie is expected to release in 2022 and Nagarjuna is going to have a salt-and-pepper look in the film which will be a treat for his fans.

The hype and buzz for SS Rajamouli’s RRR is increasing with every passing day. The team recently revealed Alia Bhatt’s look for her birthday and it has got a thundering response. Alia has the charm that’s required for the character Sita. The latest news is that the team is also planning a surprise for Ram Charan’s birthday which falls on 27th March. RRR is doing magnificent pre-release business thanks to the pan-Indian brand of Rajamouli and the multistarrer combination of Jr.NTR and Ram CharanLyca bagged TN rights for a whopping 42 crores. There is a huge competition for digital and satellite rights. There have been offered up to 220 cr for the digital and satellite rights in all languages. The Hindi version has got an offer of 100 cr. Overall, the film is expected to a pre-release business of approximately 750 cr which means a handsome table profit for producer DVV Danayya. RangDe Trailer – Fun & Colorful

Trailer of Nithiin and Keerthy Suresh starrer RangDe directed by Venky Atluri was launched today in Kurnool and similar to Venky Atluri’s previous films, the trailer promises a teasing romantic comedy and family entertainer. Dialogues penned by Venky Atluri are sharp and funny. BGM by Devi Sri Prasad is top notch. The chemistry between Nithiin and Keerthy Suresh seems to be the main highlight of the film.
Songs of the film had good reach and massive promotional activities are planned. Nithiin announced two pre-release events, one in Hyderabad on March 21st and the other in Rajahmundry on March 24th. Catch Arjun and Anu in theatres on March 26th!

Story: Vishnu Manchu (Arjun) and Kajal Aggarwal (Anu) are two siblings who had bad childhood life as they are from a poor family. They both look for a better life and over time Arjun who will be working as an employee in a call center joins hands with his boss Navdeep (Vijay). As Vijay gets impressed with Arjun’s skills, Arjun then comes up with an idea where their motive is to call the U.S residents and force them to pay the tax. Anu who is a skilled accountant will be guiding the team and within no time they earn millions. At a stage, Internal Revenue Service (IRS) officials get to know about the scam and reach out to Hyderabad’s sincere police officer Suniel Shetty (ACP Ajeet Kumar). The rest of the story is about how Ajeet Kumar leads the case and how the sibling Arjun and Anu try no escape from the system.

Performances: While Vishnu gave a good performance in the role of Arjun, Kajal Aggarwal steels the show with her stellar performance in the role of Anu. Naveen Chandra and Navdeep’s performance are just ok. Sunil Shetty’s has exceelled as a sincier cop but his character is not so strong. And there are many more charcters which do not have a much impact.

Analysis: It is a known fact that Manchu Vishnu who has provided the story for this film has failed to mould the story with interesting elements. The entire screenplay is slow with many boring aspects from start to end. Director failed to show the scam scenes interestingly. The quarrels between the lead actors are very silly which can be shown much better. Coming to the technical department, Sheldon Chow’s cinematography is good with visuals. Though there is no particular album from this film, Sam CS background score is an added advantage.

Verdict: On a whole, though the plot is a bit interesting the makers have completely failed to present it. With boring and predictable screenplay it is not a worthy watch. Vishnu’s dream for a Box-office hit will continue.

Now, the team is planning a sequel for the film. The shoot of the film is set to start by end of 2021 and the film is slated for release in 2022. The part 1 has received great response especially for the way friendship has been shown in the film. Youth audiences have connected as the road trip and situations are very realistic. Tharun Bhascker is known for his realism as he is one of the few directors in Telugu cinema placing emphasis on that. Even though part 1 hasn’t done wonders at the box office, part 2 will have much more hype.

Its a know fact that Super Star Mahesh Babu and Rajamouli to team up for a film which will be produced by KL Narayan. This is being on news for the past 10 years but still, there is no perfect date for the film’s launch. In an interview during the lockdown, Rajamouli has once again confined that his next film will be definitely with Mahesh.

Currently, both Mahesh Babu and Rajamouli are busy wrapping their current projects Sarkaru Vaari Paata and RRR respectively. While RRR is scheduled for October release, SVP is planned for Sankranthi 2022 Release. According to sources, Mahesh Babu is planning to do one or two films before he joins Rajamouli film. But it all depends on Rajamouli. If Rajamouli takes a year gap after RRR which he usually does after every project then Mahesh can complete his commitments. Directors like Anil Ravipudi, Trivikram are in pipeline for Mahesh Babu’s next.

Anil Ravipudi is working for #F3 which will be wrapped up by August and Trivikram who is yet to start #NTR30 will complete the film by March 2022. So the ball is in Rajamouli court if he takes a gap after RRR release Mahesh can complete 2 projects.

Story: Basthi Balaraju ( Karthikeya) owns a funeral service. He transports dead bodies in his van to cemeteries. One of the bodies that he transports to the cemetery is Mallika( Lavanya Tripathi)’s husband Peter. Balaraju falls in love with her at first sight. How he convinces her and whether she falls in love with him is the main point of the cinema.

Performances: Kartikeya has performed really well. Owing to his characterization as a crazy guy, he lived in that role. Lavanya Tripathi’s performance was average. Aamani, srikanth iyengar, and murali sharma were good as usual. The remaining artists were adequate.

Analysis: The Director has taken a routine point and tried to present in a new way by designing the hero’s character as a caretaker of dead bodies. The first half starts off interestingly and slows down. Overall, the first half is watchable with few good comedy scenes. However, few dialogues are overboard and too much cinematic livery is taken. The second half slows down completely and is saved by a good and meaningful climax. The screenplay is very poor in 2nd half where the film loses its track completely. Anasuya’s special song didn’t really click that much. Director establishes the point well but chose a routine style of narrating it in 2nd half. Music is average. Cinema-photography is decent. The remaining technicians have done adequately.

Irrespective of the budget or cast if the album consists of atleast one sensational single the openings are surprisingly shocking trade circles. Now one more film joins the list, Kiran who made his debut with Raja Vaaru Rani Garu is now coming up with SR Kalyanamandapa. Last year 2 songs from this film’s album were released and 2 out of 2 recorded Millions of views in no time. Last month a 2 mins teaser which was released has created more buzz on the film. Producers have quoted 3-4Crs for Telugu States rights and popular producer Dil Raju distributor Warangal Srinu were negotiating for the last two days and today Warangal Srinu has closed the deal for 4Crs.

This film will open with huge numbers on Day 1. Producers are planning to release the film on May 21st. Sai Kumar, Tulasi, Srikanth Iyengar, Tanikella Bharani are playing pivotal roles as well. While Chaitan Bharadwaj composed tunes for this film Pramod and Raju produced under the banner Elite Entertainments.
