Jio Cinema offers premium subscription, details here

Jio Cinema, one of the fastest-growing OTT platforms in India is now offering premium subscriptions starting at just ₹29/month. This plan applies to a single device. The platform is offering another subscription plan for ₹89/month that covers four devices, provides ad-free streaming, and upto 4K streaming quality.

For cricket lovers, the great news is that the ongoing IPL will continue to be available for free. JioCinema Premium will include content from Peacock, HBO, Paramount, Warner Bros. Discovery, top Bollywood films and streaming shows, and early access to content from the Colors and Nickelodeon TV channels.

In addition to this, more than 20 TV channels from the Viacom18 Network will be available to stream. Some of the upcoming original series include the just premiered Ranneeti: Balakot & Beyond (Jimmy Shergill, Lara Dutta, Ashish Vidyarthi), Murder In Mahim (Vijay Raaz, Ashutosh Rana), PILL (Riteish Deshmukh) and several more to be unveiled. Zara Hatke Zara Bachke finally premieres in May.

Tamannaah Summoned in IPL Streaming Case

Maharashtra Cyber has summoned Tamannaah for questioning related to the unauthorized streaming of the 2023 Indian Premier League (IPL) on the Fairplay App. This incident reportedly resulted in substantial financial losses for Viacom, which owns the official broadcasting rights for the IPL. The actress is required to present herself to the authorities on April 29.

Viacom, the official broadcaster of IPL matches complained with the cyber cell that the illegal streaming caused them severe losses. Reportedly, Sanjay Dutt was also summoned in connection with the case earlier this week. However, the actor has requested the actor for another date owing to his busy film schedule.

Tamannaah has been summoned by the Maharashtra cyber cell for allegedly promoting the viewing of the Indian Premier League (IPL) matches on the Fairplay betting app. Some of the IPL matches were also streamed illegally on the app in 2023, officials said citing a complaint in this connection.

Vijay Devarakonda’s Family Star – Streaming From Tonight

Family Star (2024) is a romantic comedy-drama film starring Vijay Devarakonda and Mrunal Thakur in lead roles. Directed by Parasuram Petla, it narrates the tale of Govardhan, a young man from an Indian middle-class family who is struck between the financial responsibilities of his family. His life changes when a young woman, Indu, rents the upper portion of his house.

Released amidst decent expectations, the film received mixed-to-negative reviews from audiences and emerged as a box-office bomb. Considering its poor theatrical run, it arrived on the streaming platform in a span of just three weeks.

Family Star is available for streaming on Prime Video starting tonight. The rumours regarding the rental basis are false, and the film can be streamed for free with a subscription. Bankrolled by ace producer ‘Dil’ Raju, the film’s music is composed by Gopi Sundar. It marks Vijay’s second collaboration with the director after the blockbuster Geetha Govindam (2018).

Release Date Dilemma: Kalki 2898 AD vs Indian 2

Nag Ashwin’s magnum opus Kalki 2898 AD release date has been a matter of great suspense. The sci-fi dystopian film is one of the most anticipated movies of this year and there are massive expectations on this film thanks to its loaded star cast that includes Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, and Kamal Haasan among others.

The audience’s expectations on this film, however, are being dampened by a lack of clarity on a release date. Apart from release date suspense a possible clash with other big films has also kept everyone on edge. Kalki 2898 AD and Indian 2 are the next two big releases of Indian cinema. Both movies are planned to be released in June month but the exact release dates are still not out officially. the dilemma still continues.

Both teams should announce the release dates as soon as possible and they also should maintain a minimum of two weeks gap as both are pan-India big-budget films. As of now Indian 2 is almost confirmed for June 13th release whereas Kalki 2898 AD makers are still considering many dates during May end, June end, and mid-July.

Nag Ashwin has already stated that Kalki will show something that’s never been attempted in Indian cinema before. While this is a great indication of things to expect in Kalki 2898 AD, a clear understanding on the release date will help everyone.

Pushpa-2 First Single: Release Date Out

‘Icon Star’ Allu Arjun’s Pushpa: The Rule is one of the most anticipated films of the year. Particularly in the Hindi belt, the project is carrying unparalelled hype among fans and audiences in general. AMB Cinemas Coming To Banglore!

‘Super Star’ Mahesh Babu has ventured into multiplex business with ‘Asian Mahesh Babu Cinemas’. Abbreviated as ‘AMB Cinemas’, it was launched as a joint venture between the actor and Asian Cinemas, a multiplex chain spread across Telugu states.

Launched in the city of Kondapur, Hyderabad, this premium multiplex cinema theatre was fairly successful. It even prompted his fellow actor Allu Arjun to launch his own venture with the title ‘AAA Cinemas’, an abbreviation for ‘Asian Allu Arjun Cinemas’.

Following the success of the Hyderbad venture, AMB Cinemas is expanding into the city of Banglore, Karanataka. Dubbed the IT hub of India, Bangalore is already home to numerous high-end multiplexes of PVR-INOX. Clearly, AMB Cinemas will face stiff competition from them, and unlike in Hyderabad, Mahesh Babu is not a brand in Karnataka.

The election campaigning and back to back party activities have kept both Pawan Kalyan and Balakrishna away from the shoots. AP elections are scheduled on May 13th and the last day for campaigning will be May 11th. Post this, the people will have to wait for almost 21 days for results scheduled on June 4th.

Once the campaigning comes to a halt on May 11th both Pawan Kalyan and Balakrishna will have a breathing space till result day June 4th. Since they have around 20 days in hand before election results, they are planning to get back on set and finish at least one schedule within 10-15 days.

Pawan Kalyan will be joining OG sets and he is aiming to finish his part as soon as possible as the release date has already been announced. There are massive expectations on the project and the teaser and Sujeeth’s stylish making style has already made OG one of the most anticipated Tollywood films of the year.

Balayya, on the other hand will be joining the sets of NBK109, Directed by Bobby. The film will feature Bobby Deol as the antagonist and he has already started shooting for his portions. Devi Sri Prasad will handle the musical score of the film. Naga Vamsi of Sithara Entertainment and Sai Soujanya of Fortune Four Cinema are producing NBK109.

Manjummel Boys has been the biggest South Indian blockbuster of this year so far. The film has achieved industry hit status in Malayalam and has managed to win the hearts of audiences all over the world. The collections and critical acclaim have given the makers a great high. However, the film has also attracted some controversy and legal troubles for the producers.

Police have registered a cheating case against the producers of ‘Manjummel Boys’ based on a petition filed by Siraj Waliyathara from Aroor. He alleged that Parava Films (Shawn Antony, Soubin, & Babu Shahir) had promised him a 40% share of the profits after investing Rs 7 crore in the project.

The complaint states that Manjummel Boys, which was made for 22 crores, earned approximately Rs 250 crores from box office collections, OTT, and satellite rights, and the producers have not honoured their commitment.

Earlier, the Ernakulam Sub Court ordered the freezing of bank accounts belonging to the makers of Manjummel Boys. The account associated with Parava Films and partner Shaun Anthony was ordered to be frozen following a petition by Siraj Waliyathara Hameed.

The survival thriller, featuring Sreenath Bhasi and Soubin Shahir in the lead roles emerged as an industry hit in Malayalam and performed tremendously well in all the territories it released in. The film is now gearing up for its OTT release

Shekhar Kammula has joined hands with Tamil star Dhanush for a ‘Pan-Indian’ project. Titled ‘Kubera’, it narrates the story of a beggar from Dharavi who goes on to become a mafia don. Rashmika Mandanna is playing Dhanush’s love interest, while Nagarjuna’s role has been kept as a surprise.

According to a reliable source, Akkineni Nagarjuna will play the role of a powerful police officer in the film. This will be a fresh experience for fans since the actor hasn’t played a full-length cop role since Puri Jagannadh’s Shivamani (2003).

Kubera’s first look, which was unveiled long ago, was well-received by netizens. ‘Rock Star’ Devi Sri Prasad is composing the film’s background score and songs. Suniel Narang and Puskur Ram Mohan Rao of ‘Asian Group’ are bankrolling this project in association with Amigos Creations Pvt. Ltd.
