Kalki 2898 AD challenging Indian 2

It’s official now! Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2898 AD will hit the screens on 27th June later this year. The official announcement was made a while ago and with this massive update fan’s excitement has gone sky high. Now, 2 massive pan India projects will hit the screens in June in the form of Kalki and Indian 2.

There is just 2 weeks of gap between the two big productions. While Indian 2 is releasing on the 13th of June, Kalki 2898 AD will hit the screens on the 27th. The sci-fi dystopian film is one of the most anticipated movies of this year and there are massive expectations on this film thanks to its loaded star cast that includes Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, and Kamal Haasan among others.

Nag Ashwin has already stated that Kalki will show something that’s never been attempted in Indian cinema before. While this is a great indication of things to expect in Kalki 2898 AD, a clear understanding on the release date has given a bigger boost and heightened the anticipation for this project.

Hotstar announces Manjummel Boys streaming date & languages

Recently released Malayalam film, Manjummel Boys created a sensation. It went on to gross 200 crores and became the Industry hit of Mollywood officially. The film also attracted other language audiences with its performance in Malayalam language. Likewise, it released in both Tamil and Telugu languages afterwards. Now, Disney+Hotstar has officially announced Manjummel Boys’ streaming date and languages.

Manjummel Boys will officially stream on May 5th in all languages. Disney+Hotstar released a video about the same also. The audience can watch the film in Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, and Kannada as well. Manjummel Boys performed stunningly in both Tamil and Telugu languages apart from its original version, Malayalam. The film grossed more than 60 crores in Tamil beating Suriya’s highest grosser there. It also collected more than 10 crores gross in Telugu version worldwide.

Malayalam Industry is riding very high with Manjummel Boys, Premalu, and The Goat Life. Recently released Fahadh Faasil starrer, Aavesham too achieved a unanimous positive talk and is on its way to grossing 100 crores worldwide. If the film pulls off this record, Malayalam Industry will become the industry to have 4 back-to-back 100 crore grossers in months gap. This is an amazing achievement for any Industry.

Tollywood Actor and Janasena chief, Pawan Kalyan is all set for his campaigning in Pithapuram. The Actor lost from both the Bhimavaram and Gajuwaka constituencies in the 2019 AP elections. However, he didn’t choose to contest from both these constituencies and chose Pithapuram. He participated in the nomination process as an MLA recently as well. Now, his nephew and another actor of Tollywood, Varun Tej is about to campaign for Pawan Kalyan and Janasena.

Comedians, Hyper Aadi, Ram Prasad, Actor Pruthviraj, and a few other actors and producers of Tollywood have already started supporting Janasena and Pawan Kalyan on various occasions. Now they may also take part in the campaigning process for Pawan Kalyan.

Ghilli Re-Release Crosses 20 Crore Mark!

‘Thalapathy’ Vijay’s Ghilli (2004) was a cult blockbuster during its time. A remake of Mahesh Babu’s Okkadu (2003), it stars Trisha Krishnan as the female lead. Over the years, the film has gained a massive cult following for its music, action sequences, and story.

To celebrate this iconic film on the big screen again, fans have opted for a grand re-release. Following excellent advance bookings, Ghilli registered an opening day gross of INR 8 crore, an all-time record for re-releases. It went on to perform well on the second and third days as well, thus surpassing the INR 20 crore mark.

This is the biggest figure a re-release in India has ever achieved. As announced, Vijay is quitting acting to focus on politics. In other words, these are the last few years of his acting career. He will next see Venkat Prabhu’s sci-fi action thriller film, The Greatest of All Time.

But NTR became angry at a Photographer for capturing his look for the film recently.

It is so common for Bollywood media to capture actors and actresses wherever they go. Some even trouble them by coming too close. The same happened to NTR who was talking on the phone and a photographer had gone close. NTR observed this and warned him and later the security guards stopped him from shooting the Actor. However, this revealed his look. He sported a different hairstyle for the film.

Family Star getting trolled again after the OTT release

Family Star released this April 5th had suffered a humiliating result. The film stars Vijay Deverakonda and Mrunal Thakur in the lead roles directed by P. Parasuram. It was also lavishly made by the producer Dil Raju under his Sri Venkateswara Creations. But nothing saved the film. It received poor reviews and mouth talk right from the first show and never recovered afterwards. Now, Family Star is getting trolled again after its OTT release.

Family Star made its OTT premiere yesterday on Amazon Prime Video. The film didn’t receive any good reviews there either. We come across some films that underperform in theatres and get acclaim on TV or OTT afterwards. But Family Star continued the same streak even after the OTT release. Audiences are trolling Family Star for a particular scene. The scene is where Vijay Deverakonda threatens Actor Ravi Babu about women. This is not at all received well by other language audiences especially. They are trolling both Vijay Deverakonda and Director Parasuram for executing this scene.

All is not well for Family Star right from the beginning. The team and Director Parasuram missed many logics during filming and continued repeating them during the press meets. Now Audiences are finding those faults in scenes of the film as well. This happens only when there is no proper planning by the team.

Anupama Parameshwaran’s Next Gets A Title!

Anupama Parameshwaran’s last theatrical release, Tillu Square (2024), was a massive blockbuster at the box office. Best known for her girl-next-door roles, this Malayali actress has stunned audiences with her glam quotient in the film.

Expectedly, the success of this crime comedy provided her with a much-needed breather, and the Premam star is now in high demand. Having said that, she will be next seen as a village belle in a rural drama film. Praveen Kandregula, who made his debut with Netlfix production Cinema Bandi (2021), is directing this project.

DeAr (2024) is a Tamil-language romantic comedy film starring G. V. Prakash Kumar and Aishwarya Rajesh in lead roles. It narrates the story of a newly-married couple who struggle with each other’s companionship.

OMG2 Telugu version is streaming now

Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi starrer OMG 2 is undoubtedly one of the best Bollywood films in recent times. It gave a huge relief to Akshay Kumar, who has seen continuous flops over the last couple of years saw. OMG 2 marked a massive comeback for him and his performance and the film’s novel concept were well appreciated.

Despite of the Gadar2 storm, OMG 2 worked well at the Box office and after its OTT premiere on Netflix, it received unanimous positive response and appreciation. Now the film is streaming in all languages on Jio Cinema. It’s now streaming in Telugu, Tamil, Marathi & Bangla languages along with original Hindi(with English subtitles).

Tillu Square – Streaming From Tonight

‘Star Boy’ Siddhu’s crime comedy entertainer Tillu Square (2024) was a blockbuster at the box office; it was its biggest hit of the year so far after Prashanth Varama’s superhero flick HanuMan (2024). Directed by Mallik Ram, it features Anupama Parameshwaran as the female lead.

Made as a direct sequel to DJ Tillu (2022), it follows the adventures of Tillu after getting struck by a mysterious murder. After enjoying an excellent theatrical run, the film’s run has almost come to an end. Having said that, it will be available for online streaming starting tonight.
