The Goat Life also titled Aadu Jeevitham starring Prithviraj Sukumaran opened to a shattering response on 28th March. The film is a survival thriller directed by Blessy. It carried a great positive word-of-mouth before the release. The team and the lead Actor Prithviraj did an aggressive promotion for the film which generated the necessary buzz. The Goat Life Day 2’s box office is also heading towards an all-time record.
The film holds very well on Day 2. On the opening day, the film managed to gross more than 16 crores worldwide. It also emerged as the 4th biggest opener ever in Mollywood. The Day 2 collections look on par with the Day 1 and the gross is near 30 crores mark. Trade analysts expect 60 crore gross by the weekend which is an all-time record for Mollywood film. The previous biggest weekend grosser is Lucifer which had collected around 55 crores gross during its 1st weekend. The Goat Life is all set to beat this and emerge as the current highest-grosser.
The Goat Life has all chances of even touching the 200 crore gross mark considering the holiday and summer season if all goes well. With this film, the Malayalam Film Industry has added another cult film. Recently released Manjummel Boys and Premalu did exceptionally well.
