The Goat Life also titled Aadu Jeevitham starring Prithviraj Sukumaran is a highly anticipated Malayalam film this year. The film was made on a lavishing budget and also stars Amala Paul in the female lead role. It released yesterday 28th March to good positive word of mouth. The Goat Life’s Day 1 worldwide box office collections now stand at all-time top in Mollywood.
The Goat Life has managed to gross 5.85 crores in the home state of Kerala. It had also opened to around 1 crore gross in Tamil Nadu. The overseas gross is at a staggering 7.25 crores gross. Rest Of India collections amount to another 2.95 crores. These all make it a 16 crore gross opening. This is officially the biggest opening for Prithviraj by a record margin and also the 4th biggest opening film in Mollywood. The overseas gross consists of only UAE and doesn’t include other countries in G.C.C. The Censor was not completed in these countries yet.
The film is already holding very well on Day 2 as well. This momentum indicates the film to score a big blockbuster at the box office. It could be the next 100 crores for Mollywood which is already riding high with the phenomenal successes of Manjummel Boys and Premalu.
