However, it turns out that there is no truth in the news, and Chiranjeevi will not act in Spirit, and the rumor was officially denied by the social media team of the Megastar.

Little Hearts Movie Review: A Simple Fun Ride

0

Movie Name: Little Hearts
Rating: 2.75/5
Cast:
Mouli Prashanth, Shivani Nagaram, Rajeevn Kanakala, Anirha Chowdary, and Others
Director: Sai Marthand
Produced By:
 Aditya Hasan, ETV Win
Release Date: 5th September 2025

Mouli Prashanth and Shivani Nagaram’s Little Hearts is the latest 2025 Telugu-language romantic comedy that has generated buzz for its youthful charm and relatable storyline. Backed by the #90s-A Middle Class Biopic director Aditya Hasan, the film also had a few premieres before the release, receiving positive responses. Now, let us dive into our review to know whether the film meets the expectations or not.

Story:

Akhil (Mouli Tanuj) fails to pass his engineering entrance exams, so his father (Rajeev Kanakala) makes him go for long-term coaching. Kathyayini (Shivani Nagaram), daughter of a medico, is attempting MBBS for the fourth time. They both join the same coaching center and love blossoms between them. The rest of the story is all about how this young pair faces the challenges of love in a funny way.

Performances:

Mouli Tanuj Prashanth excels in the character of Akhil and leads the film from start to end with his one-of-a-kind comedy timing. Shivani Nagaram makes a strong impact, while Rajeev Kanakala, SS Kanchi, Anitha Chowdary, Sathya Krishnan, and others are perfect. Jai Krishna and Nikhil Abburi are good as the hero’s friends.

Analysis:

Directed by Sai Marthand, Little Hearts is a simple take on two youngsters, who are good for nothing, at least in their families’ eyes. The narrative shows their love journey with a fun touch alongside a few effective parts. The dialogues are playfully crafted to bring out laughs in almost every scene.

Marthand also makes sure that the film’s impact does not get too light by having some heartfelt lines from the hero about why his girlfriend/lover is worth the fight and waiting. The final moments bring completeness to the film.

There’s this hilarious song sequence in the second half that pokes fun at mainstream movie promos, and it even gives a nod to the Prema Desam track ‘Hello Doctor’ with a Shah Rukh Khan-style Happy New Year hairstyle. The director uses this funny moment twice in the film, which brings the same impact on both occasions.

Sinjith Yerramilli’s tunes totally match the film’s fun vibe, from the songs to the background music.

Positives:

  • Lead Pair
  • Entertainment
  • Music

Negatives:

  • A Few Repetitive Parts
  • Silly Scenes here and there

Little Hearts Movie Review and Verdict:

Sai Marthand’s Little Hearts is a simple/fun ride with many hilarious moments. The performances, music, and comedy work well for the film, though it appears too casual and drags a bit here and there.

Anirudh in Trouble with Madharaasi

0

Now Anirudh is undoubtedly the most demanded music director in Indian cinema. His inclusion in a film guarantees its box office success, which is agreed upon by industry people and audiences. However, Anirudh falls into trouble with Sivakarthikeyan’s Madharaasi.

Directed by AR Muruadoss, Sivakarthikeyan’s Madharaasi was released today in theaters, and it has average responses from audiences and critics. But in one thing, the film is having a unanimous response: that is the film’s music, which has disappointed everyone.

Normally Anirudh always becomes the biggest asset for a film, and for many films, his music changed the film’s range at the box office. If we remember correctly, Rajinikanth also mentions that his background score was the pillar for the Jailer movie.

But shockingly, the response for Madharaasi’s music lands Anirudh in trouble, as his songs and background score turn out to be the major negative aspects of the film, and many wonder if he really worked for the film.

Madharaasi Movie Review: An Average Action Thriller With Few Highs

0

Movie Name: Madharaasi
Rating: 2.5/5
Cast:
Sivakarthikeyan, Rukmini Vasanth, Vidyut Jammwal, Vikranth, Biju Menon, and Shabeer Kallarakkal, and Others
Director: AR Murugadoss
Produced By:
 Sri Lakshmi Movies
Release Date: 5th September 2025

Madharaasi, the action thriller, features Sivakarthikeyan in a powerful lead role. Following his critically acclaimed performance in last year’s hit Amaran, the actor teamed up with renowned director AR Murugadoss for the first time with this film.

Despite the combination, the film did not get the deserved hype and had very poor advance ticket sales. Now, let us dive into our review to find out to know ARM – SK duo is able to surprise us with the content.

Story:

A large syndicate looks to spread gun culture in Tamil Nadu, teaming up with two crooks, Virat and Chirag. Premnath leads the NIA to stop them, but he stumbles along the way. During this time, he crosses paths with Raghu Ram, who’s contemplating suicide over a love failure, and sees an opportunity to involve him in his quest. What happens next is all about Raghu getting his love back and ensuring that guns are out of his state.

Performances:

Sivakarthikeyan’s character is intriguing, and he puts in a solid effort to make everything click, even when the story has its flaws. Rukmini Vasanth shines in some emotional moments but does not get much chance to show her skills in other parts. Vidyut Jammwal, Biju Menonanth, Shabeer Kallarakkal, and the gang fit perfectly into their parts.

Analysis:

AR Murugadoss, famous for hits like Ghajini, Thuppaki and Katthhi, is back with Madharaasi after the failure of Sikandar. The film centers on this fascinating blend of a love story and a looming national threat.

If only the screenplay had been spot-on, Madharaasi could have been an unforgettable movie. But Murugadoss does not rise to the occasion and shines only in certain areas. The initial episode is fine, but the film becomes more engaging when they introduce the hero and touch on his mental health issues.

The romance between the leads feels flat, plus there are just too many songs in the first half. It’s only around the midpoint that the movie gains traction and gets hopes up for the latter part.

Madharaasi’s second half improves a lot once the hero faces some personal stakes. Some fights, especially the climax and important moments, totally work for the film. However, the parts with NIA and the villains have weak compared to what they should be.

The action blocks looked great, but they would have been even better if the fight between the villains and Hero was more arresting. The climax gives an extended feeling.

Positives:

  • Hero’s Characterization
  • Action Episodes
  • Few Gripping Moments In The Second Half

Negatives:

  • Weak Love Track In The First Half
  • Dragged Scenes
  • Weak Game Between The Hero And Villains
  • Anirudh’s Songs And Background Score

Madharaasi Movie Review and Verdict:

Madharaasi delivers excitement here and there, but not consistently. Sivakarthikeyan shines with his character and performance, plus there are some engaging moments and well-executed action scenes. But the slow storytelling and lackluster parts turn this movie into just an average experience.

Ghaati Movie Review: A Poor Action Drama

0

Movie Name: Ghaati
Rating: 2/5
Cast:
Anushka Shetty, Vikram Prabhu, Jagapathi Babu, Chaitanya Rao, and Others
Director: Krish Jagarlamudi
Produced By:
 UV Creations, First Frame Entertainments
Release Date: 5th September 2025

Ghaati reunites acclaimed actress Anushka Shetty with director Krish Jagarlamudi after nearly fifteen years. The action drama has hit theatres today, this gripping crime-action drama has already stirred high anticipation among fans and critics alike, and it’s time to know how this film has been shaped up in our review.

Story:

Sheela (Anushka) and Desi Raju (Vikram Prabhu) work as Ghaatis. They want to save and make the lives of fellow Ghaatis/villagers. The rest of the film is about what problems they faced in achieving their dreams.

Performances:

Anushka Shetty is back on screen with Ghaati after some time away. Sadly, her role just does not have enough strength, and she fails to leave a mark with her acting.

Vikram Prabhu has an important character, and he pulls it off pretty well. Chaitanya Rao takes on the role of the main antagonist, but he does not quite make an impact after the first few scenes because his character feels too loud and clichéd.

There’s nothing remarkable about Jagapathi Babu’s character. Ravindra Vijay, Raju Sundaram, and others are okay.

Analysis:

Director Krish is known for making films with different stories. With Ghaati, he tries out a new setting of cannabis in the Eastern Ghats. At first, the film grabs your attention with its concept, but as the characters come into play, it ends up feeling pretty standard.

The intermission episode hits as a noisy, prolonged, and pretty flat experience. Rather than evoking sympathy for the lead characters, it kind of leaves a bad taste.

You get a hint of emotion at the start of the second half, but then it fails to continue the impact and does not hit hard enough. The backstory for Vikram Prabhu and Anushka should have packed a bigger emotional punch.

Krish struggles to present the villains because they are just too cartoonish, which ends up making the action sequences fall flat, including the final showdown.

Positives:

  • Initial Moments
  • Some Important Scenes

Negatives:

  • Ineffective Emotions
  • Outdated Narration
  • Weak Villain Characters
  • Loud Songs/Background Score

Ghaati Movie Review and Verdict:

Krish Jagarlamudi’s Ghaati could have been an exciting action drama, but it fails to provide the right effect because of its stale storytelling and feeble emotions.
