Big Break for Keerthy Suresh in Dil Raju Production

Dil Raju is producing a film with Vijay Devarakonda, directed by Ravi Kiran, titled Rowdy Janardhan. The film’s pooja ceremony was recently held, and Keerthy Suresh is playing the lead actress.

After this film, she is in talks for another exciting project under dilraju productions with a strong female character. Balagam director Venu has prepared a very strong and rooted story titled Yellamma. The project was initially planned with Nani, and after several changes in the male lead, it is now in final talks with Devi Sri Prasad for the music.

Earlier, there were reports that the team planned to cast Sai Pallavi, but now discussions are underway with Keerthy Suresh. This is definitely a film where Keerthy Suresh is expected to showcase her best performance again.

Kantara Chapter 1 Hits 700 Cr

On its 17th day, the film achieved two major milestones — it joined the 500 Cr nett club in India and the 700 Cr club worldwide. The film now stands as the 15th all-time biggest Indian grosser worldwide and the 12th Indian film to cross 500 Cr nett in India.

In South Indian cinema, Kantara Chapter 1 ranks as the 6th biggest grosser worldwide, following Baahubali 2, Pushpa 2, RRR, KGF 2, and Kalki 2898 AD. Across all five languages — Kannada, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam — the film is performing exceptionally well at the box office. In Karnataka, it has already become the biggest grosser of all time and the first film to cross 200 Cr in the state.

The film is seeing a noticeable jump this weekend and is expected to continue its strong run till Diwali. It now needs another 100 Cr to surpass Chhaava (800 Cr collections) and become 2025’s biggest grosser. However, it faces some challenges with screen count this Diwali weekend due to new releases in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi.

In the South versions, the film managed to come close to KGF 2’s collections. In Kannada, it performed even better than KGF 2. However, in the Hindi version, KGF 2 leads by a huge margin, which is the main reason Kantara Chapter 1 couldn’t enter the 1000 Cr club like KGF 2. The film’s weak pre-release buzz also affected its performance in a big way. Still collecting more than 700 Cr collection is a huge achievement and a jackpot for Hombale Films again.

Netflix Announces OG Streaming in All Langauges

OG has given a much-needed relief to Pawan Kalyan. The film has collected close to ₹300 Cr gross, emerging as the biggest grosser of his career. OG’s box office collections are double that of Pawan Kalyan’s previous best, Bheemla Nayak.

The film’s digital rights have been acquired by Netflix for all languages, with a four-week theatrical window. Due to this, the film did not receive a full-fledged release in Hindi. Netflix has officially announced that the movie will start streaming on 23rd October in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam

The OTT response is crucial, as the film has both a prequel and sequel already announced. Especially, it needs a solid response from audiences in other languages, so that OG 2 can target all markets effectively.

One big mistake the K Ramp team made was not showing the film first to its target audience. The team was very clear from the beginning about what kind of film they were making—it’s aimed at the mass audience. So, what was the need to hold overseas premieres first? Either they should have premiered it in India or avoided overseas premieres altogether. That would have helped the film start with positive word of mouth from the beginning.

The movie received very poor WOM and reviews from the USA early premieres, but there’s a stark contrast in response from Indian audiences. The film is performing really well among viewers who enjoy regular commercial entertainers

The entire industry should take note of this—films should first be shown to their intended audience.

K-Ramp Review : Good Entertainer

K Ramp is about two lead characters — the hero and heroine — who trouble and hurt their families with their behavior and trauma. The story revolves around how they realize their mistakes, understand their family’s suffering, and eventually correct themselves.

The movie starts on a promising note with good comedy and energetic scenes. However, due to some repetitive sequences and a few comedy bits that don’t work, the first hour feels a bit directionless. But the film picks up momentum from the interval and never slows down after that

The second half starts on a hilarious note. The post-interval hospital episode and Vennela Kishore’s track work out hilariously and the emotional and story elements connect effectively in the climax.

Kiran Abbavaram delivers a mature and much-improved performance. All the actors have done well. A good directorial debut by Nani. The film not only delivers entertainment but also handles emotions very well, especially in the climax. Each character, who initially seemed disconnected, is beautifully justified and established by the end.

If you enjoy regular entertainers, K Ramp will definitely work for you. A good entertainer for this Diwali weekend
