Atlee moves from Allu Arjun

Tamil Director Atlee rose to nationwide fame with his Jawan starring Shah Rukh Khan. The film became a big blockbuster grossing more than 1000 crores worldwide. Atlee had decided to make his upcoming film with Tollywood Actor Allu Arjun and discussions happened as well. But as per the news coming in, Atlee has moved on from Allu Arjun’s project.

The film was tentatively titled AAA. Atlee held story discussions for the film as well with the same title. But is is now learnt that film will be completely shelved. Allu Arjun’s next film after Pushpa 2 will likely be with Trivikram. Atlee is believed to be planning his film with Bollywood Actor Salman Khan. This is really a disappointing news for the fans and Audience who wanted them both to see in a film collaboration.

Salman Khan is already working with A.R. Murugadoss for his Sikandar. This film is planned on a big level and will be released as a Pan India biggie. So Salman Khan’s plan of working with Atlee after this project is a wise decision. On the other hand, Allu Arjun choice of working with Trivikram is also good and need to see how they hit duo collaborate again for a fourth film.

Vijay watched Salaar in Hyderabad

Yesterday, a shocking news became viral on social media platforms. Tamil Actor, Vaibhav who played a role in Vijay’s upcoming film, The GOAT shared an interesting news. He said that Vijay had watched Prabhas’ Salaar in Hyderabad theatre with no information leaked to the media. A video too surfaced on X/Twitter showing him sitting in the theatre while watching the film. This was indeed a shocking incident that took place.

Vaibhav while participating in an interview said that Vijay had also watched Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki along with Salaar in Hyderabad. The Actor told that he wanted them to book tickets in the lower end of the theatre so that he could enjoy watching films with fans celebrations. This became viral on social media. No one knew that The GOAT Actor spent time for watching Prabhas’ film.

On the other hand, Vijay’s upcoming film, The GOAT is all set for worldwide release on September 5th. Fans and Audience have put so much of expectation on the film. Vijay will be taking up only one film after this before entering into full-time politics. He will officially compete with his TVK party for the Tamil Nadu Assembly Elections that are scheduled in 2026.

Stree 2 Shatters Baahubali 2

Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkumar Rao starrer horror comedy Stree 2 has been one of the biggest Bollywood blockbusters of the year. The film opened to largely positive reviews on Independence Day weekend and has been achieving one box-office milestone after another.

Stree 2 has now shattered the 3rd weekend record of Baahubali 2 and in the process, also crossed Rs 500 crore share mark with great ease. Baahubali 2 held the 3rd weekend record for 7 years as it collected Rs 42.55 crores on its weekend 3. Stree 2 broke this longstanding record with Rs 48.75 crores over its 3rd weekend.

Directed by Amar Kaushik, Stree 2 has also equaled Shahrukh Khan’s Jawan record of crossing Rs 500 crore mark on the 18th day of its release. This is a phenomenal achievement considering the lack of A-list stars and star directors for this horror-comedy.

The horror comedy has now joined the Rs 500 crore club alongside Jawan, Pathaan, Gadar 2 Animal, and Baahubali 2 (Hindi). This film is a sequel to the 2018 super hit Stree and features Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, and Aparshakti Khurana in supporting roles. The film also had cameos from Akshay Kumar and Varun Dhawan.

Fans of Superstar Rajinikanth can rejoice as new details about his next film Jailer 2 have been unveiled! Nelson Dilipkumar, the director of Jailer, which starred Superstar in the lead, has revealed new facts regarding the sequel.

At the Vikatan Awards, Nelson Dilipkumar revealed insights regarding Rajinikanth’s Jailer movie sequel. The renowned filmmaker confirmed their collaboration for Jailer 2. On the occasion, Nelson stated that the film’s script is already complete and that pre-production has begun.

The filmmaker went on to explain that the film’s producers plan to make an official announcement within a month. The film is planned to begin production shortly. Jailer, released in 2023, had Rajinikanth in the major role. Supporting cast members included Ramya Krishnan, Tamannaah Bhatia, Vasanth Ravi, Mirnaa Menon, Yogi Babu, and Sunil.

Mohanlal, Shiva Rajkumar, and Jackie Shroff played prominent roles. The film follows “Tiger” Muthuvel Pandian, a retired jailer who decides to protect his family from idol smuggler Varman. The cast of Jailer is expected to return for the sequel. Rajanikanth is now busy with his Coolie film. Jailer 2 is set to begin as he completes his Coolie program.

The heavy rains impacted the numbers and Saripodhaa Sanivaaram needs to continue the momentum for weekdays and 2nd weekend is crucial for breaking even here.

In Telangana, the breakeven is valued at Rs12 Crores and the film has collected Rs 8.75 Cr share already with more than 70% recovery being done already marking a positive weekend for the film.

Coming to the rest of India, the film made Rs 4.5 Cr share and overseas contributed Rs 9 Cr share and the film has already achieved breakeven performing excellently in these territories.

Overall, the film has collected Rs31.75 Cr share worldwide over the first weekend and theatricals are valued at 42 Cr. With 75% recovery, this Nani starter recorded a very good weekend.

Only in Andhra Pradesh, the recovery is less but the 2nd weekend is expected to do good numbers thanks to the positive word of mouth. A breakeven is expected over 2nd weekend due to Vinayaka Chaviti.

Tollywood Actor Venkatesh and Director Anil Ravipudi collaborated together recently for a film, stylised as VenkyAnil3. The Director attended the inaugural ceremonal of Bigg Boss Season 8 and gave updates of the film. The Director also gave clarity regarding the release date of the film. Talking to the show host Actor Nagarjuna, Anil Ravipudi confirmed that VenkyAnil3 had completed its first schedule in Pollachi a few days before. Tollywood Actor NTR has recently made a visit to Karnataka with his mother. He along with his family visited the Kolluru Sri Mookambika Temple. Kannada Actor Rishab Shetty was also present along with NTR in this incident. The press reporters and media there aksed NTR if he wants to be a part of Kantara 2.
