Funky features Vishwak Sen alongside Kayadu Lohar as the female lead. Directed by Anudeep K.V., who previously delivered the blockbuster Jathi Ratnalu, the film was presented as a full-fledged comedy entertainer.
The movie hit theatres on February 13, ahead of Valentine’s Day. Despite high expectations from the Jathi Ratnalu director, Funky failed to impress audiences at the box office. The makers are now hoping for a better response from OTT viewers.
