Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan Multistarrer Confirmed

For a few days, the news of the biggest film of Kollywood, combining Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan with Lokesh Kanagaraj, has been doing the rounds. Now, Kamal Haasan confirms that he is joining hands with Superstar Rajinikanth after 46 years on screen.

In the SIIMA event, the legendary actor Kamal gave a massive update to fans. “We already decided this long ago. You are the ones who have created a competition between us. This might be a surprise business-wise, but for us, it feels like something that should have happened long ago. At least it’s happening now; let it happen.”

After the Coolie release, a sudden buzz started that director Lokesh Kangaraj’s next film is not Kaithi 2, and it will be a multistarrer featuring Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth.

Now it’s officially confirmed, and certainly it becomes the biggest film from Kollywood because of the actor/director combo.

On his big day, Dulquer Salmaan, Mammootty’s son and the producer of this year’s blockbuster Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra, announced his father’s involvement in the film. People are picking up on the idea that Mammootty is set to have a big role in the Wayfarer Cinematic Universe, which plans to drop at least 4 more films after Lokah. 

Dulquer posted a mysterious movie poster featuring a shadowy figure in a cape with a staff. Moothon, played by Mammootty, is the mysterious character.

In the movie, Moothon popped up for just a quick cameo and had only one dialogue. Only a hand and voice appear; the character’s face remains unseen. Fans speculated widely, many believing it was Mammootty’s voice.

The Lokah universe now includes Mammootty and Dulquer, opening up chances for them to share the screen. Director Krish Jagarlamudi (Radhakrishna Jagarlamudi) made his debut with Gamyam (2008), and he got a good name as a filmmaker. However, with continuous failures, including his latest film, Ghaati, Krish is in the toughest phase of his career. 

All the initial films of the director brought good accolades for his work, and even though a few films did not do huge at the box office, Krish’s work always gets praise, such as Gamyam, Vedam, Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum, Knache, and Gautamiputra Satakarni.

But his downfall started with NTR Biopic, which was a big failure, and he also faced big issues while shooting Kangana Ranaut’s Manikarnika film and opted out of the project as well.

Kondapolem with Panja Vaishnav Tej was also a big failure, and his latest film with Pawan Kalyan, Hari Hara Veera Mallu also had many issues during the shoot stage, which made him opt out of the project. Now with Ghaati, the director sees an even more disastrous result.

Lokah Set to Become 4th Biggest Grosser in Mollywood Today

The Malayalam superhero film, Lokah, is unstoppable at the box office. Initially on the opening day, the trade expected the film to do 150 Cr gross in the full run. Now, the film is on the way to becoming the 4th biggest grosser in Mollywood. 

With each passing day, the film surprised everyone, and it achieved a 150 Cr milestone within days. For 10 days the film has collected more than 165 Cr gross worldwide, and by today the Lokah’s gross collection will go to more than 180 Cr.

With today the film will emerge as the all-time 4th biggest grosser in Mollywood after Empuraan (266 Cr), Manjummel Boys (241 Cr), and Thudarum (232 Cr).

How Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra holds from tomorrow will decide in which position it will settle at the end, and from tomorrow it needs to do another 85 Cr gross for industry hit status.

Sivakarthikeyan’s Madharaasi is performing well at the box office. The film was released in theaters on September 5 and received average reviews. The film showed a good hold on the second day, and the film’s 2-day box office collections are good.

On the opening day, the film collected around 25 Cr gross, and on day 2, it gathered around 20 Cr in collections. Madharaasi collected 45 Cr gross at the box office in 2 days.
