In the video, director Murali Kanth narrates the story of Krishna to Nani (voiced), who is a Class 10 math teacher played by Nithiin. As the story unfolds, dreamlike visuals introduce characters inspired by novels written under the name Rukmini.
In a surprising moment, Nani interrupts the narration to ask, “Who is Rukmini?” Krishna then explains that Rukmini is his wife, accompanied by a touching musical score that captures the film’s emotional depth.
Novel Concept and Narrative Style
The title announcement video is captivating, and the background music creates a pleasant atmosphere. Fictional novel titles like Vratham Venkanna, Garam Gopal, and Aameku Aame Ante Istam suggest Rukmini’s character and the film’s narrative style.
While earlier reports suggested actress Rukmini Vasanth might be in talks for the female lead, the production team has not yet announced the cast details.

Produced by Deepthi Ganta under Unanimous Productions, Alias Rukmini is said to be a refreshing romantic entertainer with a bold concept. The film was officially launched today with a traditional pooja ceremony and is currently in pre-production, with regular shooting expected to start soon.
Jomon T. John ISC is in charge of cinematography, while Vijai Bulganin is responsible for the music. Avinash Kolla serves as the production designer, and Srujana Adusumilli is the editor. With Nani supporting the project and a promising director at the helm, fans are optimistic that Alias Rukmini will be a significant comeback for Nithiin.
