Rana Daggubati’s Spirit Media, an arm of the 60-year-old Suresh Productions in collaboration with Dulquer Salmaan’s Wayfarer Films, marked the beginning of their most awaited multilingual film project “Kaantha” with a puja at Rama Naidu Studios in Hyderabad.
This partnership brings together two creative powerhouses committed to delivering exceptional cinema. Directed by Selvamani Selvaraj, the film stars Dulquer Salmaan, Bhagyashree, and Samuthirakani, marking an exciting start for Spirit Media’s cinematic journey. The filming also begins today.
Set in the evocative backdrop of 1950s Madras, “Kaantha” is a cinematic journey that explores the complexities of human relationships and societal change during a dynamic period in history. The film also stars Bhagyashree Borse playing the female lead opposite Dulquer Salmaan, while Samuthirakani is cast for a crucial role.

To celebrate the start of this new cinematic journey, the occasion was graced by the leading producers of the South Indian film industry, and the inaugural clap was given by Telugu superstar, Venkatesh Daggubati.
