Pawan Kalyan’s OG Nizam Closing Collections

0

Pawan Kalyan’s OG, released in theaters on September 25, has completed its theatrical run and is now streaming on Netflix in all languages, but the film failed to cross the 50 Cr Share in Nizam.

Dil Raju bagged the film’s Nizam rights for ₹55 crore. Later, reports suggested that there were some recoverable terms in the deal, making it a safe venture for him. Dil Raju even officially stated that OG was a profitable film for him.

Of course, in business, there are always various terms and clauses involved. But if we look purely at the ₹55 crore valuation, the film did not reach the breakeven point.

OG collected a 41 crore final share (excluding GST) in Nizam, and even including GST, the share stands around 48.5 crore. With this, the film narrowly missed crossing the 50 crore share mark in the region.

This is the highest share for a Pawan Kalyan film in Nizam, and it opened to a massive first-day collection, but compared to that start, the final numbers are on the average side.

The main reason is that while the film completely satisfied fans, it offered only an average or ordinary experience for general audiences.

Jio Hotstar’s decision to stream Lokah in seven languages could be a very helpful option for the makers as they aim to reach a larger section of audiences. So, Lokah streaming on OTT in 7 languages, such as Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Hindi, Marathi, and Bengali, will be great news for the OTT viewers as well.

Based on the stories from Kerala’s folklore, the story of Lokah follows Chandra, a young and mysterious woman who lands in Bangalore city on a mission. The special appearances by stars like Tovino Thomas and Dulquer Salmaan also worked well for the film.

Mass Jathara Censor Report and Breakeven Details

0

Mass Jathara, starring Ravi Teja, has been censored with U/A with a runtime of around 160 minutes. The film was initially planned for a 31st October release with 30th October evening premieres.

But to avoid competition with Baahubali: The Epic, producer Naga Vamsi has decided to release his film on 1st November with premieres on the 31st October night.

Mass Jathara completed its censor formalities, and the report is said to be positive. Also, the business terms of the film are said to be done on a recoverable basis, as Naga Vamsi has faced some losses recently with Kingdom and War 2 as a distributor.

But for the movie’s market value, Ravi Teja’s Mass Jathara needs to collect around 30 Cr in theatrical shares worldwide to achieve the break-even and attain the hit status.

The trailer is releasing on 27th October, which will play a crucial role in increasing the hype and buzz among audiences.

Dude Enters 100 Cr Club – Pradeep Ranganathan Creates History

0

Pradeep Rangathan, the director-turned-actor, has released his latest film, Dude, this Diwali, and it is expected to join the 100 Cr club today, marking a historic achievement at the box office.

Achieving a 100 Cr gross is still tough for medium-range heroes, but Pradeep Ranganathan is easily doing it, and with Dude, he creates a history that no hero has achieved until now.

With his debut film as an actor, Love Today, Pradeep Ranganathan entered the 100 Cr club, and his second film, Dragon, and third film, Dude, also repeated the same, making it a hat-trick of 100 Cr grossers.

Scoring 100 Cr gross back-to-back with the first three films is a sensational achievement that no one has done until now. Pradeep can make it four with his next film, LIK, which is set to be released in December.

Kantara Chapter 1 Becomes 2025’s Biggest Grosser Today

0

Rishab Shetty’s Kantara Chapter 1 saw a good jump in its collections yesterday and started the fourth weekend on a strong note. Today, the film joins the 800 Cr gross club as well and becomes the biggest grosser of 2025 by beating Chhaava.

The spiritual action drama is expected to do another 50 Cr from here. This is a sensational performance and beyond the trade’s expectations.

As said above, Kantar Chapter 1 witnessed a good jump in the Saturday collections, and the film will also join the 200 Cr net club in Hindi in India. Compared to the South version performance, this is not such a big number, but it is still decent.

The Hindi version’s performance is the main reason for the film not achieving the 1000 Cr milestone at the worldwide box office.

Produced by Hombale Films, the Kantara prequel did extraordinary numbers in Karnataka, and it also achieved the all-time biggest grosser record.

Coming to the Telugu states, the film crossed the 100 Cr gross mark, while it gathered 65 Cr in Tamil Nadu and close to 55 Cr in Kerala. This is an extraordinary collection, and even overseas, the South versions did very well, but Hindi numbers were disappointing.

Early Premieres for Baahubali The Epic and Mass Jathara

0

Baahubali: The Epic, starring Prabhas and directed by Rajamouli, and Mass Jathara, featuring Ravi Teja, are both set to release in theaters next week. Interestingly, both films will have early paid premieres the night before their official release dates.

Tollywood has recently embraced the trend of early or paid premieres in India. Earlier, word-of-mouth (WOM) for Telugu films mostly came from overseas audiences. But now, with Indian audiences watching premieres first, the initial buzz is being generated locally, which is helping films perform better at the box office.

Thanks to the positive results, more Telugu filmmakers are choosing to arrange early premieres for their releases.

Next weekend is shaping up to be a big one for Tollywood. Baahubali: The Epic will re-release on October 31, with paid premieres on the evening of October 30. Meanwhile, Mass Jathara will hit theaters on November 1, with its premieres scheduled for October 31.

Since Mass Jathara, starring Ravi Teja, is a mass commercial entertainer aimed mainly at Indian audiences, its box office journey will begin strongly from within the country rather than overseas.

With both films generating buzz, fans are eagerly waiting to experience the excitement on the big screen.
