Sexual Harrassment case against Choreographer Jani

A shocking news regarding Tollywood has emerged recently. It came to notice that a 21 year old female choreographer has filed a sexual harrassment complaint against renowned Tollywood dance choreographer Jani Master. The choreographer has composed dance to many hit songs for star heroes of both Tollywood and Kollywood. This sexual harrassment case against Jani Master has really shocked many people now.

The victim who complained against Jani Master revealed that she repeatedly assaulted during many outdoor shoots in Chennai, Mumbai and Hyderabad at her home as well. Rayadurgam police registered a Zero FIR and transferred it to Narsinig Police. Jani Master faces charges under sections 376, 506 and 323 IPC. Investigation is also underway and police may interrogate Jani Master anytime soon.

It needs to be seen how Jani Master responds to it. He is also an active member of Tollywood Actor Pawan Kalyan’s Janasena Party. Pawan Kalyan fans are in a state of shock to see Jani Master getting in trouble. Pawan Kalyan who is now the Deputy CM of Andhra Pradesh must act properly against Jani Master. Many are demanding his resignation from the party as well. This topic is going viral now on social media platforms.

Devara Targets Salaar!

Jr. NTR’s Devara: Part One is weeks away from a grand theatrical release. Written and directed by Koratala Siva, the film carries a good buzz among audiences primarily due to its star cast and Anirudh’s foot-tapping songs.

Taking about its numbers, Devara must collect a worldwide gross of INR 400 crore to emerge as a ‘hit’ or to achieve breakeven. However, to gain a ‘blockbuster’ status, it must mint over INR 500 crore.

These are huge numbers for any Indian film. If observed, it can be found that Devara will be targeting the full run figures of Prashanth Neel’s Salaar, which grossed over INR 600 crore worldwide. If the action drama does beat the Prabhas-starrer, it’ll be a highly profitable venture, and of course, there’ll be huge hype for Devara: Part Two.

All it takes is the positive word-of-mouth upon release for Devara to mimic the success of Salaar in the Telugu, Hindi belt, Kerala, Karnataka, and overseas. Let’s see how the Tarak’s biggie will fare at the ticket window very soon.

The GOAT Set to Smash Vikram, Heads for All Time Top 5

The GOAT performed extraordinarily well on 2nd weekend in Tamil Nadu and Overseas. The movie collected more than Rs 40 Cr gross in Tamil Nadu in just its 2nd weekend which is proof of how strong it’s marching towards big numbers in Tamil Nadu.

Overall, the Tamilnadu gross for 11 days is around Rs 180 Cr and it will cross 200 Cr this week. The GOAT is now heading toward the all-time no.1 grosser here. Currently, Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan part 1 holds the top position with 225C+ gross.

Coming to worldwide collections, this Venkat Prabhu project has grossed around Rs 400 Cr after 11 days and is all set to cross Vikram (Rs 425 Cr) this week. With this, The GOAT will enter the Kollywood all-time Top 5 grossers behind 2 Point 0, Jailer, Leo, and Ponniyin Selvan 1.

The GOAT, which is Thalapathy Vijay’s penultimate film before he enters active politics is projected to cross the 450 Cr mark now. The film will just miss out of the Rs 500 crore landmark due to outright rejection in Kerala and Telugu states where it has performed quite poorly.

Mathu Vadalara 2 1st weekend Box office collections

Ritesh Rana’s Mathu Vadalara 2 had a good first weekend with a significant jump in each day’s figures. Day 3 was the best day for the film in India. The film has collected Rs 16 Cr gross amounting to around Rs 7 crores share worldwide for the 1st weekend.

The breakeven is at around 20 Cr gross and 80% of recovery has already been done on 1st weekend. Mathu Vadalara 2 is now heading towards a clean Blockbuster status. The film is expected to have a good 2nd weekend as well as no interesting films are releasing this weekend.

Rithesh Rana and the team have already confirmed Mathu Vadalara 3 with plans to take the franchise to a bigger level. Mathu Vadalara 2 starred Sai Simha, Satya, Faria Abdullah, Sunil, Jhansi, and Vennela Kishore among others. The crime comedy’s first part was released in 2019 and went on to become a major hit.

Satya was a major attraction in the first film and he continued the same level of performance in the sequel as well. He received excellent reviews for his Yesudas character and stood as the film’s biggest selling point.

Actress Megha Akash gets married

Actress Megha Akash married her boyfriend Saai Vishnu in Chennai on Sunday. The couple got engaged last month and the actress shared some gorgeous pics from the event and described Saai Vishnu as the ‘love of her life’.

The wedding happened in a Kerala Hindu style at a star hotel in Chennai with a reception taking place on Saturday. She took to her Instagram to share the wedding pictures making an official announcement about her wedding. “My best friend and soulmate. Forevermore,” she captioned the images.

On the work front, Megha Akash was last seen in actor Vijay Antony’s ‘Mazhai Pidikkatha Manithan‘. She has two Telugu films, which are at different stages of production, in the pipeline. In Telugu, she was last seen in Manucharitra and Ravi Teja’s Raavanasura last year.

Saripodhaa Sanivaaram starring Nani had a very good run at the box office. The film has continued to perform strong in the second weekend worldwide. Saripodhaa Sanivaaram will be streaming on September 26 on leading OTT Giant, Netflix in all south Indian languages. The film will establish record views on the OTT space as well without any doubt. It has also become a good relief for the lead actor Nani who was waiting for a big hit. SJ Suryah too received great praise for his performance in the film.

Nani will kickstart his next project, Hit 3 with the confidence built after Saripodhaa Sanivaaram. There is also speculations of him collaborating with Sekhar Kammula for one of his next films. Hit 3 will release next year which was officially announced. So this film with Sekhar Kammula might be planned after this.

Raghava Lawrence’s Next – Kill Remake!

Raghava Lawrence is continuously signing films. After Jigarthanda Double X, his choice of films has also changed. He received very good accolades for this film. Now, he has officially announced his landmark 25th film.

Tentatively titled #RL25, it is touted as a high-octance action film helmed by Ramesh Varma Penmatsa, a notable filmmaker of Telugu cinema who recently directed Ravi Teja in Khiladi (2022). Neeladri Productions, along with LLP Studios, is funding this project on a big budget.
