Bison Continues Mari Selvaraj’s Success Streak: A Big Break For Dhruv Vikram

The 80% revenue of the film in 52 crores, that is around 40 Cr, came from Tamil Nadu only, and it is expected to do 50 Cr gross alone in Tamil Nadu.

Coming to the worldwide box office, the film is expected to gross around 70 Cr in its full run.

Kantara Chapter 1: Rishab Shetty’s Mayakara Look Breaks the Internet

0

Kantara: Chapter 1, directed by Rishab Shetty and produced by Hombale Films, was released on October 2 in multiple languages. One of the biggest surprises for audiences has been Rishab Shetty’s transformation into the mysterious character Mayakara.

Many viewers were shocked to learn that Shetty himself played the role, thanks to his intense look and powerful performance. The role is very crucial in the film, as it guides the hero in crucial scenes, including the climax.

The film broke several box office records and was declared the Highest-Grossing Film of the Year (HGOTY) 2025. While it performed exceptionally well in India, its overseas collections were lower than expected.

Rishab Shetty’s transformation as Mayakara shocks everyone

The makers recently shared a behind-the-scenes (BTS) video on social media, showing the creative process behind Rishab Shetty’s transformation for the character of Mayakara. The video revealed that his makeup took nearly six hours to complete each day.

Fans and critics alike are praising Rishab Shetty for his dedication and hard work. His dual role as actor and director has impressed many, and Kantara: Chapter 1 continues to receive love for its storytelling and visual impact.

Venu’s Yellamma project goes to many heroes and takes a lot of turns; finally, it lands with Devi Sri Prasad, who is all set to debut as a hero with this film. As there are a lot of rumors around the film, the makers are set to clear them soon.

Director Venu Yeldhandi said that all details will be revealed about Yellamma in the next 2 weeks, and the film will go on floors in early 2026. So the big update with all details is set to come out during the first week of November.

Keerthy Suresh is said to be playing the lead actress, DSP is likely to compose the music as well, and it will be produced by Dil Raju.

Balakrishna Collaborates with Nayanthara

Balakrishna’s Akhanda 2 is gearing up for a 5th December 2025 release. After this, the star will join hands with Gopichand Malineni for a periodic big-scale film. It is being said that Balakrishna will collaborate with Nayanathara for this film.

The film’s pre-production works are in progress, and the shoot is expected to start next month. For this film, Nayanthara is said to be playing the lead actress alongside Balakrishna, and their combination is a successful one.

Before this, the duo worked for Simha, Sri Rama Rajyam, and Jai Simha. Now again joining hands for the periodic big-scale film directed by Gopichand Malineni.

The director worked with NBK for Veera Simha Reddy (2023), which received good success at the box office, and there will be a good buzz for NBK111 as well.

K-Ramp: The Diwali Winner

0

Four films were released for the Diwali Telugu box office: Dude, Telusu Kada, K-Ramp, and Mithra Mandali. K-Ramp, starring Kiran Abbavaram, emerged as the Diwali winner, beating his competitors.

Mithra Mandali was the 1st one to be released of the four movies, and the team even screened paid premieres. As it opened with disastrous word of mouth and reviews, it became an outright disaster.

Telusu Kada received an average WOM from urban audiences and a poor one from mass audiences. The box office numbers reflect the same; some numbers are urban and disastrous in mass belts. Overall, it is also a failure.

Dude, which is the craziest release in Diwali? It opened very strongly but lost momentum after that. For the business value, the film is likely to end up as an above-average venture.

As said above, Kiran Abbavaram’s K-Ramp emerges as the Diwali winner, which is the last release in Diwali, starts with below-par-average collections, picks up the momentum slowly, and becomes the number one preference for audiences.

The film made more than 20 Cr worldwide in 9 days and is a profitable venture for all involved parties, and also the biggest grosser in Diwali releases for Telugu Version, emerging as a clear box office winner.

Vamshi Paidipally Struggling to Lock His Next Star Hero

0

Director Vamshi Paidipally debuted in 2007 with Munna, starring Prabhas, and till now in his 18-year journey, he has done only 6 films: Munna, Brindavanam, Yevadu, Oopiri, Maharshi, and Varisu. All 6 films had big stars as the lead.

But somehow, Vamshi does not show interest in working with medium-budget heroes or films, and he always looks at star heroes.

It’s been more than 2 years since Varisu’s release, but Vamshi Paidipally has still not locked his next project as a director. He has not seen any failure in recent times, but at the same time, he also did not get the star recognition, which is the reason he is facing tough times.

Tollywood and Kollywood stars are busy with committed projects, and they are not showing much interest in working with Paidipally.

With this, Vamshi Paidipally goes to Bollywood and tries to collaborate with Aamir Khan, but the discussions are said not to have worked.

Thereafter, there was also a buzz that the Brindavanam director tried to make a film with Salman Khan, which also did not work.

Now, Vamshi Paidipally is said to be trying for the film Pawan Kalyan. Producer Dil Raju has dates with Pawan, and all of Vamshi Paidipally’s films have come under Raju’s banner.

So, the strong buzz is that Vamsi Paidipally is preparing a script for Pawan Kalyan, and we need to wait to see how things move forward.

No chance for Dude to surpass Dragon

0

Dragon is the biggest grosser for Pradeep Ranganathan with a total of around 150 Cr worldwide. His latest film, Dude, had a bigger opening weekend than Dragon, but it is unlikely to surpass Dragon’s total collections by the end of its run.

Directed by debutant Keerthiswaran, the film, Dude, maintains a clear lead over Dragon for the first few days and shows a very strong trend until Diwali, but after that, the movie slows down at the box office, not achieving the expected jump on the 2nd weekend.

In the Tamil market, Dhruv Vikram’s Bison leads over Pradeep’s film, while Kiran Abbavaram’s K-Ramp attracts a larger audience in the Telugu market.

Dragon still holds the biggest collections for Pradeep Ranganathan

Overall, after the 2nd weekend, Dude’s collections are close to 105 Cr gross, and if this trend continues, the film is projected to close around 120 Cr, indicating that it is unlikely to reach Dragon’s box office numbers.

Dragon (Return of the Dragon in Telugu) will continue to be the biggest grosser of Pradeep Ranganathan.

The above stats are just a comparison between Pradeep Ranganathan’s films, but if we look only at Dude collecting more than 100 Cr gross for the budget, it is a properly profitable venture and a very successful film as well.

Pawan Kalyan’s OG Settles at 7th Biggest Share in Nizam and Guntur

0

Released on September 25th, Pawan Kalyan’s action drama, OG, directed by Sujeeth, completes its theatrical run and settles at the 7th position in the list of biggest shares in Nizam and Guntur.

Because of the exciting promos and posters, “They Call Him OG” created a massive hype among fans, and even neutral audiences were also interested in watching it in theaters because of Thaman’s soundtrack as well.

OG Nizam and Guntur: Biggest Share for Pawan Kalyan

However, the film did not meet expectations and ended as an average grosser at the worldwide box office.

As said above, OG achieves the biggest share of Pawan Kalyan by miles in Nizam (48.5 Cr Incl GST) and Guntur (10.6 Excl GST), but falls short a bit of the breakeven mark.  It was also affected by the A certificate, which prevented family audiences from watching it in theaters.

Allu Arjun Pushes Sukumar for Pushpa 3

0

After Baahubali, Pushpa emerged as the biggest franchise in Indian cinema. Pushpa 2 ended up with the lead for the third part, but it did not start immediately. Now, the latest news is that Allu Arjun is pushing Sukumar for Pushpa 3.

Sukumar is now working on the script work of Ram Charan’s film, and Allu Arjun is already working with Atlee for a massive budget film.

Allu Arjun reportedly wants Sukumar to take up Pushpa 3 right after Ram Charan’s film, though the creative genius director is planning to do another project next. It remains to be seen how things turn out.

Even though Sukumar agrees to the third installment of the Pushpa franchise after Ram Charan’s film, Arjun needs to do one more film after Atlee. As Sukumar takes a bit of time for each project, he will be completely occupied with Charan’s film in 2026 and 2027.

So, it will certainly take another year for the Pushpa 3 script and pre-production works. Coming to Allu Arjun, the shooting for Atlee’s film is likely to be completed by the end of 2026 or early 2027.

If we observe all the situations, there is a vacuum for 1-2 films in the middle time for both the actor and director. We need to see which film Allu Arjun takes after Atlee’s film.
