The HanuMan blockbuster is set to return to the big screen in an all-new avatar. The 2024 Sankranthi superhero sensation starring Teja Sajja and directed by Prasanth Varma will release in 3D on June 25, 2026, giving audiences a chance to experience the mythological action spectacle in immersive 3D.

A Sankranthi Blockbuster Returns

HanuMan emerged as one of the biggest blockbusters in Tollywood history, grossing close to ₹300 Cr worldwide. Released during Sankranthi 2024, the superhero film defeated star-studded competition to become the festival’s undisputed winner, eventually ranking as the fourth highest-grossing Telugu film of 2024.

The film’s blend of devotion, humor, and action resonated with audiences across India. Its commercial success was later validated with National Awards for Best Film in AVGC and Best Stunt Choreography, cementing HanuMan as both a box office phenomenon and a critically acclaimed film.

The blockbuster’s success has paved the way for an ambitious sequel, Jai Hanuman, which recently had its muhurat puja at Anjanadri Hills with Rishab Shetty joining Teja Sajja for the next chapter.

PVCU’s First Chapter in 3D

HanuMan marks the first installment of the Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe (PVCU), blending ancient Hindu mythology with modern superhero storytelling. The 3D re-release will allow fans to experience the film’s visual spectacle—from the mythological powers to the high-octane action sequences—with added depth and immersion.

With Jai Hanuman gearing up for production, the 3D re-release serves dual purposes: it reintroduces the origin story to audiences in a fresh format while building anticipation for the sequel. For those who experienced the film in 2D during its original theatrical run, the 3D version promises a more immersive dive into the mythological world.
