Samantha’s Family Man 2 on this date?

Samantha will be making her digital debut with the Family Man 2. The second season of this spy thriller web series is going to be bigger and more intense this time around. Starring Manoj Bajpayee and Priyamani alongside Samantha, Family Man 2 might release on June 4 as per reports.

Raj and DK, directors of Family Man 2 recently shared a pic of the actress with them. The picture appears to be taken on set with the actress in her look from the show. The Family Man look of the actress has indeed surprised many.

There have been rumours that ‘Majili’ actress is playing the antagonist role in this season named Raji.

Although Samantha had hosted a talk show ‘Sam Jam’ for Aha, the season was short-lived due to lack of interest. Family Man 2 will be her debut web series and fans are eagerly waiting to catch a glimpse of her.

Shruti Haasan to team up with a senior actor?

Actress Shruti Haasan made a comeback to the big screen earlier this year after a gap of 4 years. Ever since she made a comeback, she has been on a signing spree. Post her successful comeback with Krack, she appeared again for a brief role in Pawan Kalyan’s Vakeel Saab. She has also signed up as a female lead in Prabhas’ Salaar.

Shruti will also be seen opposite Vijay Sethupathi in the soon-to-release Tamil political thriller Laabam. Now we hear that Shruti will be seen in another big film opposite a senior actor.

There are reports that she will be seen opposite Balakrishna in the Gopichand Malineni film. Shruti has already worked with Gopichand Malineni in Balupu and Krack and there are chances that this combo might be repeated again. The untitled Balakrishna- Malineni will reportedly have two actresses.

Balakrishna, meanwhile is busy with action drama Akhanda and will move on to Malineni’s film once he finishes the Akhanda. Currently this film is in pre-production stage.

Adivi Sesh sets up a water plant for hospital

Adivi Sesh joined the Covid relief works going on and made a generous move. The actor/writer set up a water plant in King Koti District Hospital for the hygienic supply of water for patients, frontline workers, and the staff. The hospital had no supply of clean water for the last eight months and was functioning on packaged water.

“I guess we are all trying to do our bit. Our nation needed to be better prepared and now we need to respond to this crisis better. The response starts with humanity,” said Adivi Sesh.

The medical staff along with the patients had no access to clean drinking water and had to carry their own supply of water through plastic bottles. Working with no water in the PPE kits often led to dehydration of the medical staff.

Earlier, Adivi Sesh had arranged for nearly 850 liters of packaged drinking water for the hospital. The shortage of water in the hospital came to the fore after few media outlets had reported the issue. Sesh immediately spoke to the hospital superintendent and resolved the issue

The hospital which is a Level 2 Covid care centre with nearly 300 moderate to severe COVID patients has had no drinking water supply for eight months.

Adivi Sesh, meanwhile is getting ready for some exciting projects post-Major. He will be next seen in HIT 2: The Second Case. He will be replacing Vishwak Sen who played the lead in the first installment of the movie. A sequel of Sesh’s 2018 hit Goodachari is also on the cards next.

Pushpa to be made in only one part

Icon Star Allu Arjun’s Pushpa is one of the most awaited movies of the year. Ever since this Sukumar directorial was announced, fans and industry have set heavy expectations on this one. Pushpa will show Allu Arjun in a never-before way and his mass mannerisms and fights from the teaser have been appreciated by many.

Earlier there were rumours floating that Pushpa would be made in two parts. It was being said that the story Sukumar wanted to tell can’t be sufficed with just one film. Hence, a sequel is needed here. However, as per sources, that’s not going to happen. Pushpa will be a single film without any sequel. The shoot will resume once Allu Arjun fully recovers. Although the film was supposed to release in August, it might get delayed now.

Pushpa is Sukumar and Allu Arjun’s 3rd movie after Arya and Arya 2. Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, Pushpa is an action thriller that revolves around red sanders smuggling. Allu Arjun plays the role of a truck driver, who illegally transports the forest produce. The film also stars Fahadh Faasil and Rashmika Mandanna in key roles. It will release simultaneously in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi later this year.

‘It’s super energetic,’ says DSP on PSPK28

Ever since it was announced that the combo of Power Star Pawan Kalyan and Harish Shankar is going to reunite, fans have been super excited. It was Harish Shankar who directed the superhit Gabbar Singh which satisfied the Power Star fans after years. Gabbar Singh was one of the most monumental hits of Pawan Kalyan’s career and it brought out the vintage Power Star. Devi Sri Prasad who scored the chartbuster album for Gabbar Singh will take charge for PSPK28 as well.

In a recent interview, Devi revealed that the script is a super energetic one and that the fans would love it. He further added that he has already composed a couple of songs for the movie and is eagerly waiting for the shoot to start.

The expectations on the movie are skyrocketing with every interview given by the cast and crew. Producers Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar from Mythri Movie Makers had earlier revealed some info on PSPK 28.

The duo mentioned that the movie is going to be an ‘out and out commercial cinema’. There will be some message but there will be high level of mass elements in the movie. The producers also added that PSPK28 will be loaded with high levels of entertainment. Comparing it to Harish Shankar and Pawan Kalyan’s earlier film Gabbar Singh, the producers said that this film is going to way more entertaining than the 2012 super hit.

Charan asks to speed up pre-production on RC15

Mega Power Star Ram Charan is a busy man these days. The actor is working on some of the biggest projects back to back. He will be next seen in a crucial role in Koratala Siva’s Acharya and SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus RRR. Charan is also producing the action drama, Acharya. Apart from these movies, Ram Charan will also be seen in a prestigious project with Shankar in RC15.

The movie is currently in the pre-production stage and Dil Raju had earlier mentioned that the movie would go on floors in July.

With Madras High Court directing Shankar and Lyca Productions to sort the differences, there is a high probability that Shankar might alter his schedule before moving on to RC15. The actress had earlier last month tested positive for Covid and had placed herself on home isolation. Meanwhile, Pooja’s fans and well-wishers are rejoicing at the actress’s better health.

Pooja has a number of biggies lined up in the coming days. Apart from Prabhas’ Radhe Shyam, she will also be seen in Acharya and Most Eligible Bachelor. Pooja Hegde will also be seen opposite Thalapathy Vijay in Vijay 65.

Can Trivikram and Koratala make it?

Trivikram Srinivas and Koratala Siva are undoubtedly two of the biggest directors in Tollywood today. Both the directors have delivered some of the biggest blockbusters in the industry over the years. Right now, both Trivikram and Koratala are busy working with the biggest names in the industry one after the other.

Coming to their upcoming projects, both the directors recently confirmed their next films. While Koratala will be teaming up with NTR for NTR30, Trivikram will be pairing up with Super Star Mahesh Babu for SSMB 28. Both of these big-ticket movies will release next year.

The makers of NTR 30 even announced that the movie will release on April 29, 2022. On the other hand, SSMB 28 will release in Summer 2022. The question that’s arising now is if both Trivikram and Koratala can deliver on their promise.

Acharya has kept Koratala busy for the past 2 years. The movie has faced multiple delays in the last couple of years. It was supposed to release in May this year but Covid has further delayed the shooting and release. Certain key portions of the film involving Ram Charan are still in the balance and will take time.

On the other hand, Trivikram is not directing any project right now. He has been free ever since Ala Vaikunthapuram Lo released last year. But, is now simultaneously busy with Pawan Kalyan’s Ayyappanum Koshiyum remake as a screenplay writer. There are rumours that Trivikram will be having a big say in the creative process of the film as well.

Amidst all these delays, it needs to be seen if both NTR30 and SSMB 28 can be completed on time. The delays are especially looking imminent considering current delays in shoots causing backlogs. Tollywood makers usually never follow the announced release dates and we have to wait and watch if Trivikram and Koratala can make it.

Directed by Ramesh Verma, Ravi Teja will be seen in a dual role in this action thriller. The movie is produced jointly by Satyanarayana Koneru and Ramesh Varma under the banner of A Studios LLP. It stars Dimple Hayathi, Unni Mukundan, Arjun Sarja and Meenakshi Chaudhary in key roles.
