Covid hits Sarkaru Vaari Paata team
Mahesh Babu starrer Sarkaru Vaari Paata team has now faced a roadblock. The rising number of Covid cases across the nation has forced the team to alter its scheduled plan.
As per the original schedule, the Sarkaru Vaari Paata team was supposed to shoot the movie’s second schedule in Goa. However, with a steep rise in the number of cases across the country, the team has now made a last-minute change to the schedule. This schedule will now be shot in Hyderabad. The shooting for the second schedule will now commence in 3 weeks. The movie is set for a Sankranti release next year.
Directed by Parasuram Petla, Sarkaru Vaari Paata stars Keerthy Suresh in the lead role. The music is being scored by SS Thaman and the project is being bankrolled under Mythri Movie Makers banner along with GMB Entertainments and 14 Reels. The makers of the movie meanwhile have expressed their satisfaction with the output of the first schedule.
Finally a good news for Prabhas fans
Prabhas fans finally have something to rejoice now. Reportedly, UV creations are planning to start the Radhe Shyam promotions in a grand manner from April 2nd week. The fans had constant complaints of lack of any updates from the makers for quite some time now. This, despite the fact that Radhe Shyam went on floors before any of Prabhas’ ongoing movies.
UV creations earlier last month release the teaser of the movie in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi. Post this teaser, there have been hardly any updates on the movie. Interestingly, movies that went on the floor much later than Radhe Shyam such as Salaar and Aadipurush gave out more updates on the progress in this period.
Meanwhile, Prabhas fans are eagerly waiting for the movie, scheduled to release on July 30 later this year. This will be the first time after since ‘Darling’ that the fans will be seeing their Darling Prabhas in an out and out romantic role. Directed by Radhakrishna who earlier directed ‘Jil’ under UV banner the movie is a romantic drama set in 1970s Europe
Mythri Movie Makers back with Ram Charan
Mega Powerstar Ram Charan’s birthday gave out quite a pleasant surprise to his fans. Speaking at the event, producer Naveen Yerneni announced that his production house will be teaming up with Charan shortly.
Yerneni added that probably by this time next year the trio of Mythri- Charan and Sukumar will reunite for another project. Mythri Makers had earlier teamed up with Charan for Sukumar’s Rangasthalam which turned out to be a blockbuster. Charan is presently wrapping up his portion for Acharya and is simultaneously shooting for Rajamouli’s RRR. Sukumar, meanwhile is finishing up ‘Pushpa’ starring Allu Arjun which is incidentally being produced by Mythri.
With all three parties busy with ongoing films, the new project might not go on the floors till mid-2022. Fans however are ecstatic with this latest development. Meanwhile, an official announcement is to be made from the makers as well as Sukumar on the project.
Good omen for Nagarjuna’s Wild Dog ?
Nagarjuna’s Wild Dog is all set to hit the screens on April 2nd. Directed by Ahishor Solomon, this action thriller is based on certain real-life incidents. The movie that features an ensemble cast of Dia Mirza, Atul Kulkarni, Ali Reza, and Saiyyami Kher among others tells the story of Indian NIA and RAW’s heroics.
Nagarjuna, who recently wrapped up his portion of Brahmastra moved on quickly to shoot for Wild Dog. Nagarjuna plays the role of Vijay Verma, an NIA officer who leads a team of special forces on a mission. The movie was earlier slated for an OTT release however, the makers later decided to go for a theatrical release.
The rushes and trailer have generated a positive buzz for Nagarjuna’s Wild Dog among the industry insiders. Recently Mega Star Chiranjeevi and Super Star Mahesh Babu took to Twitter and showered praises on the trailer. According to the trade experts, the maker’s decision to go for regular ticket pricing in UA and certain other regions can also turn out to be a great advantage. The action-thriller is being bankrolled by Narayan Das Narang, Puskur Ram Mohan Rao and Sharrath Marar.
27th March Noon Shows Status
This Friday 2 notable releases have hit the screens and today another small budget film Thellavarithe Guruvaram has been released. Total 3 films including RangDe and Aranya are this week’s releases. RangDe which had a decent start on its opening day with a 4.51Cr share has opened with below-par occupancy of around 25% in the Telugu States. RangDe will have better occupancy from evening shows going by the bookings. It has to record more than 80% occupancy this weekend as the break-even target is 23.5Cr.
Coming to Aranya which had a bad start on its Day1, Day2 noon shows occupancy was disastrous. If it does not pick up the momentum from evening shows there are high chances for deficits on Day 2 itself. Thellavarithe Guruvaram Noon shows were very poor, the team has failed to create a minimum buzz and the reports from noon shows were not so encouraging. Looks like another bad week for Tollywood.
