With no other biggie scheduled for the Sankranti season, Bangarraju is on its way to milk the festive season to its fullest. This Nagarjuna and Naga Chaitanya starrer fantasy drama is doing quite a good job domestically However, the story is quite different in the overseas market.
The film has collected $12k from 200 shows at 102 locations. This is not quite the result that many expected. The USA rights have been bought by Radhakrishna Entertainments. The film now has to collect $700k to achieve the breakeven status including all the costs.
This film is the sequel to Nagarjuna’s super hit film Soggade Chinni Nayana which was released in the year 2016. Bangarraju has generated a good buzz with the recently released promotional content. The film has to collect a share of around 38.3crs to attain hit status.
Bangarraju is jointly produced by Annapurna Studios and Zee Studios banners. Kalyan Krishna is directing this project which is a prequel to the 2016 socio fantasy Soggade Chinni Nayana. Naga Chaitanya will be teaming up with Nagarjuna for the other lead role.
