Looks like Warangal Srinu who came to the limelight after his public feud with Dil Raju earlier this year is on a role. Reportedly, Srinu has bagged the distribution rights for Karthi starrer Sulthan for the Telugu states. Srinu shelled out a whopping Rs 6 crores for the movie’s distribution rights in both AP and Telangana.
Ever since the success of ‘Krack’ that he bought rights of, he is on a roll. He also bagged the rights of movies such as ‘Virata Parvam’, ‘Sreekaram’ and ‘Seetimaar’. He has emerged as a leading competition to Dil Raju who is usually considered as undisputed King of Nizam area.
While both Karthi and Rashmika have a sizeable following in the Telugu states, the movie has reportedly hit a bump with the local distributors. The distributors claim that Srinu is quoting exorbitant prices for the movie which they are not ready to pay. The discussions are still on for the distribution prices with the release date less than a week away. This Bakkiyaraj Kanna-directed movie is set to release on April 2nd across India.
Warangal Srinu bags Sulthan’s rights for Telugu states
Ram Charan as Siddha in Acharya- new look released
On the occasion of Mega Power Star Ram Charan’s birthday, ‘Acharya’ makers released a special look poster revealing Ram Charan as Siddha. The poster features Mega Star Chiranjeevi who is playing the titular role of Acharya along with his ‘comrade’ Siddha.
Directed by Koratala Siva, the movie is being jointly produced by Charan himself under the Konidela Production Company banner. The movie also stars Kajal Agarwal and in the lead role. The shooting of the movie is going at a great pace post-Covid restrictions. Massive sets have been erected in Marredumilli, Yellanadu, and Singareni Coal mines. Scheduled for a release on May 13th, this will be Chiranjeevi’s fourth on-screen collaboration with Charan after Magadheera, Bruce Lee, Khaidi no.150.
Earlier on Saturday, Chiranjeevi took to Twitter to release the look of Ram Charan as Siddha. The poster features himself and Charan in a naxal attire laced with guns. Earlier this month Chiranjeevi had mentioned that certain portions of Acharya will be naxal based.
Gopichand and Tamannah starrer SeetiMaarr runs into financial problems?
Gopichand and Tamannah starrer SeetiMarr has once again hit a roadblock with multiple financial issues forcing the makers to consider an alternative release date. Directed by Sampath Nandi, SeetiMarr was earlier scheduled to release on April 2nd. Incidentally, Nagarjuna starrer Wild Dog and Karthi starrer ‘Sulthan’ are also scheduled to release on the same date.
According to the sources, the distributors are not willing to shell out the amount being quoted by the makers of the film. One of the main reasons for this is the unsuccessful streak of the lead pair of Gopichand and Tamannah. Gopichand’s previous two movies- Chanakya and Pantham didn’t fare well at the box-office. Additionally, Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s much-awaited Vakeel Saab is releasing the very next week to that of SeetiMaar.
These factors have made the makers quite wary of high prices being quoted by the makers of SeetiMaar. This Gopichand and Tamannah starrrer movie resumed its production earlier this year after the covid induced delay. The makers have also released two songs- ‘Jwala Reddy’ and ‘Pepsi Aunty’ recently which received a dull reception. Amidst all these reasons , postponing and looking for a solo release seems to be a wise decision for the makers.

RangDe starring Nithiin and Keerthy Suresh opened with decent reports and average openings at the Box-office. On its first day, it collected a gross of 6.75Crs from the Telugu States. Vakeel Saab – Another Gabbar Singh for Pawan Kalyan?
Power Star Pawan Kalyan is coming back with Vakeel Saab which will hit screens on 9th April. Promotions are going on in full swing and the expectations on this film are sky-high. Not only fans but also the audience are waiting to see Pawan Kalyan on screen as it been more than 3 years since his appearance on the big screen, Vakkel Saab is the official remake of the Bollywood film PINK which is a complete court drama film. After this project was announced by makers fans were a bit disappointed as they were looking for a commercial entertainer from Power Star but Pawan has chosen a lighter subject movie.
Going by Director Venu Sriram’s developments to the script now this film has turned out to be a commercial movie with an underline message. Usually, the original version does not have any songs or fight sequences but Venu Sriram has taken the liberty and has added songs that also include a romantic track. According to reports Sriram has also designed four action blocks without deviating from the main plot. Recently in a promotional event, Thaman who is the music composer for this film has said that he was in tears when he saw the completer output of the film. Going by all these it looks like Venu Sriram is ready to hit bull’s eye with Vakeel Saab. Back in 2012 director Harish Shankar has delivered a blockbuster to Pawan Kalyan with Gabbar Singh and now it’s time for Venu Sriram. Pawan Kalyan is also looking for a strong comeback and if this film gets positive talk Pawan Kalyan is all set to put the box-office on fire.

Nithin disappointed the audience with his recent release, Check. Just after a few weeks, he is coming to big screens again to test his luck this time with Venky Atluri directorial, Rang de. Keerthy Suresh is the lead actress in the film. Good audio and a decent trailer have raised the expectations of the film. Fim was initially scheduled to be released in Jan 2021 but due to a delay in the shoot because of the pandemic, it has released today across the world. Let’s see if the film lives up to the expectations.
Story: Arjun (Nithiin) and Anu (Keerthy Suresh) are neighbors and childhood friends. Arjun’s father always compares him with Anu who is a merit student. Anu starts loving Arjun but he doesn’t have any feeling for her. Due to some circumstances, both Anu and Arjun get married. Arjun’s life changes with this accidental marriage and the rest of the story revolves around how the married couple solves the differences and have a happy ending.
Analysis: Venky Atluri continues to make files in the same genre he is known for, Rom-Com. In Mr Majnu he was criticized for not handling emotional scenes well. But that’s not the case in Rang de. Emotional scenes are well written and well-directed. No doubt it is a very simple story but with loads of comedy sequences and decent emotional scenes, it will hook the audience till the end. Nithin as usual is the best performer in the film. His comic timing was very good. He lived in Arjun character and delivered a very good performance. Keerthy Suresh, who completely lost her track after the blockbuster Mahanati has got a very good role in the film as Anupama and she delivered an outstanding performance especially in 2nd half of the film. After the excellent first half, the film felt a bit slow in the second half with few lags and a predictable climax. DSP’s audio including background score is one of the major plus points of the film. DOP was decent and production values are very good.

Aranya Review – Strictly for Rana’s Show

Aranya was a multi-lingual film that was made in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi. It was supposed to release during 2020 Summer but due to Corona out break it was released today in Telugu and Tamil versions, Hindi version has been postponed again due to the increase in Covid cases. Lets drive into the review of Aranya which is based on life story of Jadav Payeng the forest man of India.
Story: Aranya (Rana) is a man who is born and raised in a forest and shares a strong bond with the animals and Chilakalakona forest which is located in Vizag. He starts to battle against the Forest Department minister (Anant Mahadevan) who plans to build a huge township in the middle of that dense forest. The Minister team initially construct a 60Km wall which prevents the way for elephants to get during the water. The rest of the story revolves around how Rana fights against and saves nature.
Performance: Rana is the show steeler from start to end. This would be his best work ever in the film industry. It’s not an easy task to full of Aranya’s character which is completely different from what we see usually. From body language to dialogue delivery Rana excels. Vishnu Vishal also has a good scope but his character has less screen space during the second half. Both actresses Zoya and Shriya are the perfect cast for this film while Ananth Madhavan as Minister does his job.
Analysis: The main plot which deals on real-life incidents was spot on but it majorly lags with the emotional connection which the film demands. Director Solomon failed to present as it becomes the regular template film with many unwanted scenes. The initial part of the film paicks up very well has later it turns out to be boring with predictable elements. Visuals of this film will be top-notch as the majority of the film was shot in real locations. Rainforest scenes will be the major highlight with a good sound design. Except for Rana, Raghu Babu and a few other, the rest of the cast is not familiar with the Telugu audience.

These Two Actress in Ayyappanum Koshiyum Telugu Remake
A few months back the official remake for Malayalam super hit film Ayyappanum Koshiyum has been launched with Power Star Pawan Kalyan and Rana as lead roles. This film has wrapped its first schedule a special erected set in Hyderabad. Earlier makers have roped Sai Pallavi as one of the lead actress but she has walked out due to the unavailability of dates.
Makers have now approached Nithya Menen to star opposite Pawan Kalyan and is likely to make comeback with this film. Nithya Menen has not appeared in Telugu Films for a while and this would be a great opportunity to make her appearance back on Big Screen. On the other hand, Aishwarya Rajesh will be seen as another lead actress opposite Rana. This film completed 40% of the shoot and makers are planning to complete the entire shoot by end of May.
