Sudheer Babu as director

Sudheer Babu, who was last seen in 2020 crime thriller ‘V’ is ready to be a director now. No! the actor is not directing a film but will be playing the character of a director in his upcoming film Aa Ammayi Gurinchi Meeku Cheppali. Mohan Krishna Indraganti will be directing this film with whom Sudheer Babu earlier worked on ‘V’ and Sammohanam.

Kirthi Shetty, who rose to popularity with this year’s superhit Uppena will be playing the lead opposite Sudheer. The film is under production right now and Vivek Sagar will be scoring the music for the film. Aa Ammayi Gurinchi Meeku Cheppali is jointly backed by B Mahendra Babu and Kiran Ballapalli under Benchmark Studios banner.

Sudheer is currently also working on Sreedevi Soda Centre which will be wrapped soon. Meanwhile, Aa Ammayi Gurinchi Meeku Cheppali, whose shooting started last month is moving at a brisk pace.

Sulthan to stream on OTT from this date

Karthi starrer Sulthan is the latest addition to the Telugu OTT releases this month. The action thriller that released on 2nd April will be streaming on Aha in from 2nd May. Karthi who has a good following amidst the Telugu audience expected to repeat the success of his earlier Khaidi and Khaakee with this commercial potboiler. However, the film failed to impress the audience this time.

Interestingly, the film is gearing up for an exclusive two-platform release online. The film’s Tamil version will stream on Disney+Hotstar and the film’s Telugu version will stream on Aha Video. Similarly, Karthi’s previous superhit Khaidi was also released on 2 platforms in Tamil and Telugu.

Karthi’s performance, Yuvan’s BGM, and fights were well appreciated in this Bakkiayaraj Kannan movie. Both Karthi, as well as Rashmika, have a good following and this prompted the Aha to bag the digital rights of the movie.

Anasuya joins Pushpa, posts a pic from sets

Actor- Anchor Anasuya has become the latest addition to Sukumar’s action thriller Pushpa. Anasuya posted a pic from the sets of the Allu Arjun starrer confirming the same. She shot some crucial scenes on Tuesday which will be vital to the movie’s story. Her role is going to be a substantial one with more scope for performance in this film.

This is going to be her second film with director Sukumar after Rangasthalam. Anasuya’s performance was well appreciated in the 2018 blcokbuster. Many critics even termed it as a breakthrough for her career.

The makers meanwhile are following all the necessary precautions for the Pushpa shoot. The unit is allowing only limited crew members on the sets.

Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, Pushpa is an action thriller that revolves around red sanders smuggling. Allu Arjun plays the role of a truck driver, who illegally transports the forest produce. The film also stars Fahadh Faasil and Rashmika Mandanna in key roles. It will release simultaneously in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi later this year.

Pawan Kalyan signs another movie

Power Star Pawan Kalyan has okayed another project. The actor-turned-politician who recently made a comeback with Vakeel Saab currently has a number of projects under his belt. He will be next seen in Krish’s period-action film Hari Hara Veera Mallu.

Now its has been revealed that he will be also doing a movie under JB Entertainments banner. The director of this film has not been finalised but an announcement will be made soon. Pawan Kalyan is currently recovering from Corona and was recently tested negative after an initial positive result.

On the movies front, he will also be collaborating yet again with Harish Shankar and with Surender Reddy in his upcoming project

Meanwhile, Producer J Pulla Rao revealed that the film will go on floors next year after Pawan Kalyan completes his ongoing commitments. JB Entertainment is currently working on its maiden venture ‘Republic’ with Sai Dharam Tej. The movie will hit the screens later this year.

Nikhil comes to fan’s aid seeking help

Social media has proved to be a great place for interaction between stars and fans. Of late, these platforms are even proving to be a major source of extending helping hands. With the second wave of Covid taking a dangerous turn over the past few days, many SoS messages on Twitter are coming out seeking help. One such message reached young actor Nikhil who immediately turned to help out his fan in need with required medication. It all started when a Twitter user posted his requirement for Remdisivir on Twitter. With Covid at its peak, it has become extremely tough to source the medication.

“Need 3 Doses of #Remdisivir for my father as he infected with #Covid19, administered 3 Doses & need 3 more injections, we still couldn’t find it,” Tweeted the fan, tagging Nikhil in the message. The person in question also posted the prescriptions along with the message.

In came Nikhil and within no time he ensured the fans need was acknowledged and got the requisite medicines arranged.

“Will get it done… Sirivuri Rajesh Varma will contact you. With the Required doses of #Remdisivir . Wishing your father a Speedy recovery,” responded the actor to the fan.

The fan was mighty pleased with the timely help and later posted that he received the help on time. Remdisivir doses have become one of the most needed ones in this time of Covid. Such quick response over providing the required medications has bowled over the netizens who are applauding Nikhil for this timely help.

Wild Dog to premiere tonight on Netflix

Nagarjuna’s Wild Dog is all set to premiere tonight on Netflix. The movie released on 2nd April to decent reviews from critics but fared terribly at the box- office. The makers initially planned to release Wild Dog on OTT but later decided against it.

Wild Dog will now be available on Netflix from 12 AM onwards tonight. The movie will be available in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada. Nagarjuna’s performance, BGM, and certain fight sequences were well appreciated in the movie. Ahishor Solomon has directed this action thriller and it is produced under Matinee Entertainment Banner.

It features an ensemble cast of Dia Mirza, Atul Kulkarni, Ali Reza, and Saiyyami Kher among others, and tells the story of Indian NIA and RAW’s heroics. This action thriller follows incidents post the 2007 Gokul Chat bombings.

RRR release date pushed further!

SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus RRR has been the talk of the town ever since the project was announced. And now, with each teaser update and poster release, the buzz around the movie is just skyrocketing like never before. One of the main reasons for this is the explosive combination of Jr NTR and Ram Charan. Both these actors have given superhits and blockbusters individually with Rajamouli.  This is why now with them joining hands, both actors’ fans are eagerly waiting to see their idols together. The additional cast of Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhat has also created great curiosity around the film. Everyone is eagerly waiting for an official word on RRR release date.

However, multiple factors have now come in that could force SS Rajamouli to push back the release date further. While the ongoing second wave of Covid is one reasons, the recent directives given by TFPC is another.

It has been revealed that 3 songs are left for shoot along which were planned to be shot from 25th of April. But, with the existing conditions, even that might have to be postponed.

RRR is being made under DVV Entertainments and will release in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada.

After Fahadh Faasil, it’s Vijay Sethupathi?

Kamal Haasan’s much-awaited Tamil thriller Vikram might just get bigger and better. The makers of the film have reportedly approached Vijay Sethupathi for a key role. Lokesh has apparently narrated line to Sethupathi; the latter is yet to okay the project.

If Sethupathi joins this project, it will indeed be a treat for movie lovers. Already Mollywood star Fahadh Faasil is playing a key role in this film. This would mean that movie lovers might get a chance to see Kamal, Vijay and Fahadh, together. Incidentally, Sethupathi had played the antagonist in Loksesh’s last film Master.

Meanwhile, Fahadh will be making his Telugu debut soon with Allu Arjun’s Pushpa. He is playing antagonist in this action-thriller directed by Sukumar. Pushpa is Sukumar and Allu Arjun’s 3rd movie after Arya and Arya 2. Mythri Movie Makers are producing the project and Devi Sri Prasad has scored the music for this action thriller. Rashmika Mandanna will be playing key roles in this film scheduled to release on 13th August.

Ram Charan’s film to release as per schedule

Mega Power Star Ram Charan’s 2018 blockbuster Rangasthalam is set to release in Tamil on April 30th. The film, directed by Sukumar received excellent critical acclaim as well as collections in Telugu. It’s considered to be Ram Charan’s best performance to date. The film’s Tamil released will be as per the schedule and no changes will be made to the same.

The distributors, 7G films recently announced that the Tamil dubbed version of the film will be released all across the state. Presently, Tamil Nadu is seeing 50% occupancy across theatres. They felt this is the right time to release the movie.

Rangasthalam’s Tamil poster was also released along with the update. 7G films have purchased the state-wide rights for the film. A Tamil trailer of the movie will be released today evening at 5 PM.

Mythri Movie Makers produced this action drama set in 1980s Andhra Pradesh. Starring actress Samantha Akinkineni and Aadhi Pinisetty in key roles.

Meanwhile, Charan is currently busy SS Rajamouli’s RRR and Koratala Siva’s Acharya. He will then move on to his next film #RC15 which will be directed by maverick director Shankar. Dil Raju, who will be backing this project recently announced that the movie will go on floors in July.

Adipurush team’s surprise for Prabhas fans

The team of Adipurush is planning a special surprise for Prabhas fans on the occasion of Sri Rama Navami on Tuesday. Adipurush stars Prabhas as Lord Ram while Kriti Sanon will reprise Sita’s role. Saif Ali Khan will be the antagonist in the movie playing Ravana.

The unit is planning a special update for Prabhas fans at 7:11 AM. Meanwhile, director Om Raut is mighty pleased with the way film is shaping up. He stated that the film has completed 30% of its shooting. The filming of this mythological drama was stopped recently due to Covid concerns.

“There is a lot of work that is going on. Saif and Prabhas have undergone a remarkable physical transformation and there is massive action involved too. There is a lot of physical transformation that Prabhas has undergone from an artiste’s point of view and he continues to work on it even now as we shoot. With Saif Ali Khan, it is evident in the pictures, but I cannot reveal much,” Raut said recently to the media.

Adipurush is being shot in Hindi and Telugu, and will release in Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada as well. The film is scheduled for August 11, 2022 release. The film is being produced by T-Series on a massive budget.
