Mahesh Babu and Anil Ravipudi project under discussions

Director Anil Ravipudi who recently recovered from Covid made many interesting revelations in a recent interview. The Sarileru Neekevvaru director said that he is ready to direct Super Star Mahesh Babu yet again. He stated that he is all geared up for it and it is up to Super Star’s availability. Ravipudi told a news channel that he’s currently busy with F3 while Mahesh has Sarkaru Vaari Paata and SSMB28 with Trivikram up next. Once both are free from ongoing commitments he will definitely look to work again with the Super Star. He had earlier narrated a line to Mahesh who asked him to reach out with a complete script.

There are talks of Ravipudi directing Balakrishna as well. The project is going to be an out and out mass entertainer. Anil Ravipudi is leaving no stone unturned to highlight its commercial elements and bring out the best.

Ravipudi is meanwhile busy with F3 and once he completes it, will get started with the Balayya movie. It will be interesting to see how the combo works out on the big screen.

“F3 is 50% completed. We are not rushing to resume the shooting. We will do it whenever it is safe. It will be a perfect laughter therapy to the people after the pandemic,” he said. Apart from Mahesh and Balayya projects, Ravipudi has also earlier hinted at a Raja The Great sequel.

Only time will tell which of the projects go on floor and when. Till then we have to wait for Mahesh and Ravipudi to finish their existing commitments.

Vijay Devarakonda will be seen in a never before avatar

Makers of Vijay Devarakonda’s Liger today announced that they have postponed the launch of teaser of the film. Vijay and Ananya Pandey star in the lead roles in this film produced by Dharma Productions. The production house posted on social media today that the there was a plan of launching the movie’s teaser today.

“However due to the current scenario and environment that our country is facing, we have decided to postponed the same in the hope to share it with the world at a better time for us all,” cited the note as the reason for postponement of the teaser.

Vijay Devarakonda will be seen in a never before avatar and that the fans will not be disappointed added the statement.

The movie will have a bunch of massy action scenes in true Puri Jagannath style. Vijay will be essaying the role of a national level boxer in the first half. Post this, he would move on to international arena in the second half. Vijay’s massy characterisation and Puri’s intense writing are going to be the high points of the movie. Ramya Krishna will also be playing a crucial role in the movie.

The makers have erected a massive set in Kolkata for Shyam Singha Roy. The set costs a whopping Rs 6.5 crores and is spread across 10 acres making it one of the costliest sets in Telugu cinema. This reincarnation theme-based thriller also stars Kirthi Shetty in a key role. Rahul Sankirtyan is directing the movie while Mickey J Meyer is composing the music for this supernatural drama.

With the nation reeling under Covid’s second wave, Tollywood celebrities are stepping in to boost morale and create awareness. Super Star Mahesh Babu also took to Twitter and appealed to people to follow the safety protocols properly.

Mahesh Babu posted a series of Tweets asking everyone to stay cautious and step out only when in utmost need. He further mentioned that in case of any symptoms, one should self isolate and seek medical advise. He asked people to not burden the medical system and suggested medical admission only if the condition is serious.

Pawan Kalyan recovers from Corona

Power Star Pawan Kalyan has completely recovered from Corona, an official note from Janasena Party stated. The actor turned politician had tested positive for Corona earlier last month and has been in home quarantine ever since.

The statement further mentioned that the doctors conducted tests on him three days ago and certified him as fit. Pawan Kalyan is completely healthy now and has no further issues barring slight weakness which is common with Corona.

Pawan Kalyan felt uneasy last month when he returned from his campaign in Tirupati. Following the uneasiness, he took the Covid test. But, results came back negative. The Vakeel Saab actor later tested positive for Covid on April 16th following which he went into a home quarantine.

“During the quarantine at his farmhouse, Pawan continued to experience body aches and fever. So he took another test, and only then he tested positive for Covid-19. Cardiologist Dr Tangella Suman was flown down to Hyderabad from Khammam to treat Pawan Kalyan,” read the statement.

Sudha Kongara seeking Tollywood stars

After bagging great appreciation for her last film Soorarai Pottru (Akasam Nee Haddu Ra), Sudha Kongara is on the lookout for top Tollywood stars for her next. Sudha, who has received great acclaim for all her previous movies is looking to go one step ahead and make a film on a much bigger scale.

It was earlier reported that Sudha had narrated a line to Super Star Mahesh Babu. However, post this meeting there has been no further information on the developments. The ‘Guru’ director has reportedly approached another top star regarding her upcoming film. Currently, she is developing the script for the same.

Apart from movies, Sudha has also been busy directing short stories for anthologies on both Amazon Prime and Netflix. In 2020, apart from Soorarai Pottru, she also directed the short segment Thangam for the anthology film Paava Kadhaigal. She had also directed a segment for Amazon Prime’s anthology Putham Pudhu Kaalai.

Most of her works have been in Tamil and later dubbed or remade in Telugu. This time Sudha Kongara is looking to take charge of a direct Telugu film.

A crime thriller for Anand Devarakonda

Anand Devarakonda, after impressing the audience with his last release Middle Class Melodies, is gearing up for his next release. Billed as a crime thriller, this movie was recently launched in Hyderabad and will be directed by KV Guhan. Guhan, whose last film 118 was an action thriller is quite upbeat about this project.

The director who is working on another untitled film with Kalyan Ram said that this film will have a psycho-thriller angle and will keep the audience on the edge of their seats. ‘It’s the screenplay of the film that makes it gripping,’ said the director at the film’s launch.

Guhan felt that Anand Devarakonda fits the role perfectly and that the role is tailor made for him. “His demeanour, intense eyes and candid expressions make him the ideal choice for the lead role. Of course, he is a performer too,” added Guhan.

The film is currently in the pre production stage and will go on floors once the situation normalises.

The latest to the addition of a long list of unique promotions is his decision to release the first four minutes of his upcoming movie D Company directly on YouTube. This is not the first time RGV has pulled of such a thing. He had earlier released the first 8 minutes of Attacks of 26/11 on YouTube back in 2013 as well.

The crime thriller D Company will release on OTT platform Spark TV on May 15th. As the name suggests, the movie is based on the infamous Mumbai underworld. The first glimpse of the movie features all of the typical RGV shots, dialogues ad action sequences.

Dhanush’s blockbuster gets an OTT release date

Dhanush who’s on a roll these days has just delivered the biggest hit of Tamil this year. His movie Karnan did an excellent business despite the lockdown restrictions and occupancy cuts.

The action thriller raked in a first-weekend collection to Rs 25+ crores and kept the momentum consistent ever since. What’s impressive here is that these numbers have been achieved with the government-mandated 50% theatre occupancy. Movie lovers have turned out in huge numbers and turned this movie into huge box office success.

Now, Karnan is all set to enter the OTT space as well. It will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on May 14. People who have missed watching it in theatres can catch it on Prime from next Friday.  Karnan has generated a great buzz in other states as well right from the day it released.

Recently Tollywood producer Bellamkonda Suresh purchased the remake rights of the film. As per sourced he is planning to remake Karnan with his son Bellamkonda Srinivas in lead role.

The story follows the story of a village youth who fights for the rights of the marginalized sections of society. Mari Selvaraj has directed this action thriller. He earlier directed made the critically acclaimed Pariyerum Perumal. Kalaipuli S Thanu under V Creations banner has bankrolled the movie. Dhanush’s performance has been well appreciated by all with many comparing it with his performance in Asuran.
