Nikhil comes to the aid of another fan

Actor Nikhil has been quite busy of late with charitable works. Earlier this month the actor had arranged much-required remedesivir after a fan requested for Nikhil’s help on Twitter.

Now, once again Nikhi has come to the aid of another fan seeking financial help for the hospitalization of his bother suffering from Covid. Nikhil immediately responded to the message and transferred the amount for the purpose. Apart from this, he has also been arranging oxygen beds, plasma and supporting patients with medical supplies.

Right now the second wave has taken a deathly toll across the country and impacting lakhs of people. The actor has been amplifying messages through Twitter and Instagram in order to help those in need.

Sridevi Soda Centre: Glimpse of rugged Sooribabu

Sudheer Babu’s Sridevi Soda Centre’s teaser was released today on the occasion of the actor’s birthday. Set in a rural backdrop, the teaser impressed with its excellent visuals and Mani Sharma’s impressive BGM.

Karana Kumar who earlier directed Palasa 1978 will be directing this film as well. 70 MM Entertainments are bankrolling the film.

Sudheer Babu looks impressive in the teaser with is chiselled physique and pleasing screen presence. He was last seen in Mohankrishna Indraganti’s ‘V’ . Though the movie ended up as a flop, Sudheer’s performance as a cop was well appreciated by the audience.

Apart from Sridevi Soda Centre, Sudheer Babu will also be seen in the untitled Gopichand biopic.

Jr NTR tests Covid positive, ‘nothing to worry,’ he says

Jr NTR has become the latest Tollywood celebrity to test positive for Corona. He took to social media to inform his fans of his health condition.

“I’ve tested positive for Covid19. Plz don’t worry, I’m doing absolutely fine. My family & I have isolated ourselves & we’re following all protocols under the supervision of doctors. I request those who’ve come into contact with me over the last few days to pl get tested. Stay safe”

The RRR star informed through a social media post that he along with his family have isolated themselves and are under doctor supervision. He added that he’s doing absolutely fine and that there is nothing to worry about.

The Young Tiger has been actively promoting safety guidelines for Covid for the past year. He’s been using every platform to spread awareness on the Coronavirus and ways to tackle the pandemic. Recently, he along with the RRR team made a public awareness video on the Covid-19 asking everyone to get vaccinated and follow safety norms.

Radhe Shyam team donates entire set property to fight Covid

At a time when the entire country is reeling under the impact of Covid’s second wave, Prabhas’ Radhe Shyam team took a unique step to counter the pandemic. The team has donated the set property which includes 50 custom-made beds, oxygen cylinders, PPEs, stretchers, and other medical equipment to a private hospital.

This equipment was used for a hospital setting in the scene in the film. And now with the hospitals all over facing acute shortage of equipment, this timely move will help many.

Since Radhe Shyam is almost done with the shooting, the makers dismantled the hospital set in the city. The Radhe Shyam team then safely transported the property to their warehouse in Hyderabad exteriors. The entire set property was transported in a convoy of nine trucks to the hospital.

Radhe Shyam’s production designer Ravinder Reddy said that these beds were made to reflect the design sense of 1970s and are pretty sturdy and comfortable. “They have all the comforts that a bed-ridden patient can leverage,” he added.

The idea came to light when Ravinder Reddy recently got in touch with a hospital to procure a bed for one of his relative. On being told about the shortage of medical infrastructure, he immediately proposed donating the set property which both the makers and hospital administration agreed to.

“When the CEO said that there were no beds available, and that they were having difficulty in procuring, I realised the acute shortage and the gravity of the issue. Soon, I asked my filmmakers if we could contribute our hospital set, which we built for the film, for the Covid-19 patients. They immediately agreed,” said Reddy.

He further added that the entire Radhe Shyam team including Prabhas are extremely happy with this development. We hope the situation normalises soon and everyone recovers to the best of their health.

SSMB28 will not be a regular family entertainer

Super Star Mahesh Babu and Trivikram’s upcoming movie SSMB28 is one of the most anticipated movies of Tollywood right now. Ever since the announcement, the fan’s excitement levels have gone to the extremes and multiple speculations have also started regarding the plot.

According to sources, SSMB 28 going to be quite different from all the past Trivikram films. The film will be a Bond-type story with a number of high moments all through.

Of late, the ‘Ala Vaikunthapuram Lo’ director has been mainly focussing on family entertainers. However, Mahesh has made it clear that the genre, as well as the treatment of the subject, must be different. Reportedly, the Super Star is not interested in run of the mill family entertainer.

Meanwhile, as reported earlier, Trivikram is ready with a bound script and it has impressed Mahesh. The shoot of this film is likely to start in August or September. The movie unit announced that they are aiming for the 2022 Summer release. The title of this film will be revealed on 31st May on the eve of Super Star Krishna Birthday.

The team is looking to make this into a pan India film with simultaneous release in multiple languages. An official conformation is awaited on the same.

On his current project, Mahesh had recently joined the second schedule shooting of Sarkaru Vaari Paata amidst all the safety protocols. However, with a steep rise in the number of cases across the country, the team made a last-minute change to the schedule. The shooting for this schedule will now commence once the situation normalizes. The movie will release on Sankranti release next year.

Popular interviewer and actor TNR passes away

Covid second wave delivered another shock to the Telugu audience as popular interviewer and actor TNR passed away. T Narasimha Rao, popularly known as TNR was undergoing treatment in a Hyderabad hospital after he contracted Covid-19. His condition became extremely critical on Sunday night.

TNR had contracted Corona earlier but had recovered soon from it. It was only a few days later that he complained of a breathing problem. On facing this issue, he was admitted to the hospital where his situation got critical leading to his demise.

He was extremely popular for his interviews on his show Frankly Speaking with TNR. The show featured some of the biggest names from the Telugu film industry as well as public space. Apart from his interviews on YouTube he also acted in a number of films in recent times.

At a time where everyone was expecting TNR to bounce back, his death has indeed come as a shocker to all of us.
