Siva Karthikeyan’s Doctor emerges as a major success across languages

Siva Karthikeyan’s Doctor (Varun Doctor in Telugu) is emerging as a sleeper hit and is performing well in Tamil as well as Telugu. The action thriller directed by Nelson Dileepkumar has received rave reviews and has won the audiences’ adulation all over.

In Telugu, Varun Doctor, the film is performing really well in Telugu states and has crossed Rs 1 crore share mark in AP and Telangana on just the 4th day. The film has also emerged as the biggest hit of the Tamil industry post the Covid second wave.

The actor himself has produced the film while Nelson Dileepkumar has directed this film. He will also be directing Kollywood biggie Beast. Meanwhile, Doctor has received great reviews from critics and audiences and is carrying on its victory streak without any competition.

‘Sree Leela is not my daughter,’ claims top industrialist

Pelli SandaD heroine Sree Leela’s name has come to prominence in Tollywood recently. The actress made her debut with the romantic drama which is running currently in theatres.

Amidst the release pressure and celebrations, the young actress’ name has now become a part of a controversy. Industrialist Surapaneni Subhakar Rao came in front of the media today and rubbished the claim of the actress being his daughter. Sree Leela in her promotional interviews had mentioned that she belongs to the Surapaneni family. This hasn’t gone down well with the industrialist.

‘Sree Leela is not my daughter. I was married to her mother earlier but we have been divorced for the past 20 years. How can she claim to be my child?” questioned Subhakar Rao.

‘My name is being used in the interviews in order to stake a claim on my properties and I will pursue the matter legally,’ claimed Rao.

Surapaneni Subhakar Rao is the CEO of Champion Group of Companies with businesses in multiple countries.

Akhil’s Most Eligible Bachelor finally hit the screens on Friday and has been showcased a good start at the box office. The two days AP and Telangana share of the movie stands at Rs 9.5 crores and the movie has already recovered 50% of its business.

The film’s rights amount to Rs 19 crores and it’s going strong on Sunday as well. The film needs to keep the same momentum over the next few days to mark a breakeven in all areas.

Akhil’s Most Eligible Bachelor has got another festival release Pelli SandaD as a competition which is doing decently in some areas. Maha Samudram, that released a day before Akhil’s film has seen serious drops in occupancy and is on the way to a disaster.

Superstar Mahesh Babu and Victory Venkatesh will soon be joining hands together for another venture. The duo along with Rana Daggubati and Asian Cinemas will be setting up a multiplex at the famous RTC x Roads.

The multiplex named ‘AMB Victory’ will feature the state-of-the-art facility just like the present AMB Cinemas in Gacchibowli. Recently, another branch of AMB cinemas, a superplex was announced which will be coming up in Financial District in Hyderabad.

Mahesh Babu and Venkatesh shared a great rapport and were seen together in the family drama Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu back in 2013. Now the duo collaborating for the multiplex has come as great news for the fans.
