Ever since the release of RRR in theatres, it seems to be on a record-breaking spree in India. It has already broken the record for highest opening day grosser, beating Rajamouli’s previous magnum opus Baahubali 2. RRR has also broken Bollywood’s Dangal within just 8 days of its theatrical run.
It has now broken another record that was previously held by Baahubali 2. Baahubali 2’s collection in terms of shares is 310 crores for the Telugu version alone. RRR has comfortably eased past this number within just 9 days of its release in theatres.
It is important to mention that this is just the record in collections for the Telugu version. Baahubali 2 still holds the record share in all the other 4 languages and that record will not be broken anytime soon. However, RRR’s Telugu version will touch 375+ Crores, becoming the new industry hit in Telugu cinema.
