Bangarraju is the sequel for Nagarjuna’s Super Hit film Soggade Chinni Nayana but Bangarraju failed to repeat the same magic. Story: Gandhi Mahaan (Vikram) belongs to a family of Gandhi followers and they are very specific about following all Gandhi principles. He leads a life with restrictions until he is 40. When his wife and son go on a trip to Tirupati, Gandhi Mahaan decides to spend that day on his terms and it changes his life forever. What happened on that day and how did his life change? Is it for the good or bad? All these questions are answered in the rest of the story.

Performances: Vikram is fantastic here and his swag and style easily remind us of him from a decade ago. This is easily one of the best characters played by him in recent years and he has played it with utter ease. Dhruv Vikram in a role with negative shades was quite confident and entertaining and was a perfect match against Vikram. It was surely a treat to watch the father and son lock horns. Simran was neat in a small yet important role. Bobby Simha, Sananth and Vettai Muthukumar, these three people deserve huge appreciation for their excellent performances in strongly written roles. Definitely of the best roles in the careers of all three.

Analysis: Karthik Subbaraj has once again played to his strengths by picking the gangster template. However, he has corrected certain things this time, which he had missed out on in his previous film. He has focused more on creating a screenplay that is engaging and as well-paced as possible. He has also ensured that there are supporting characters with the right and required amount of screen space. Shreyaas Krishna’s cinematography and Santosh Narayanan’s background score are fantastic and did full justice to the tone and genre of the film. The costumes and production design too deserve mention for the quality work. The first half of the film proceeds on familiar lines after a point but has good energy levels to keep things lively. The interval sequence is fantastic and the entire second half revolves around Vikram and Dhruv, and despite some hiccup’s, the chemistry between the two, the guessable yet exciting twists and a fitting ending kept things interesting till the end.

Verdict: Mahaan is a typical gangster drama but has excellent performances, good technical support and an engaging screenplay to keep the momentum going. A strong comeback from Vikram and a definite recommended watch.

రాజమౌళి, సుకుమార్ ఈ పేర్లు సినీ ప్రేక్షకులకు తెలియని వారు ఉండరు. ప్రభాస్, అల్లు అర్జున్ సినిమాలు ఆ స్థాయికి తీసుకు వెల్లై అప్పట్లో ఇది చాలా పెద్ద విషయం. అయితే ఇప్పుడు తెలుగులో మరో సినిమా సీక్వెల్ విడుదలకు సిద్ధంగా ఉంది. ఇందులో స్టార్ డైరెక్టర్ లేడు. స్టార్ హీరో లేడు. కథ బలంగా ఉంటుందని అంటున్నారు.

ఇంతకీ ఆ సినిమా వివరాల్లోకి వెళితే.. ఆ సినిమా పేరు “బ్యాచ్”. మొదటి భాగం ఈ నెల 18న విడుదల కానుంది. ఇక్కడ కొసమెరుపు ఏంటంటే.. దర్శకుడు కొత్త.. హీరోకి కూడా హీరోగా తొలి సినిమా.. అవును హీరోకి హీరోగా తొలి సినిమా.. 85కి పైగా చిత్రాలలో బాల నటుడిగా మనకు పరిచయమైన సాత్విక్ వర్మ. బాహుబలి, దువ్వాడ జగన్నాథం, రేసుగుర్రం వంటి చిత్రాలతో ఈ బ్యాచ్‌తో హీరోగా పరిచయం అవుతున్నాడు.

బేబీ ఆరాధ్య సమర్పణలో ఆకాంక్ష మూవీ మేకర్స్ బ్యానర్‌పై సాత్విక్ వర్మ, నేహా పటాన్ జంటగా నటిస్తున్నారు. ఈ సందర్భంగా చిత్ర దర్శకుడు శివ మాట్లాడుతూ.. ‘‘యూత్‌ బెట్టింగ్‌, మగ వ్యభిచారం నేపథ్యంలో సాగే కథ ఇది. రఘు కుంచె అందించిన సంగీతం సినిమాకు హైలైట్‌గా నిలుస్తుంది.

Rajamouli, Sukumar These names will not be unknown to moviegoers. Films by Prabhas and Allu Arjun have reached that level. It was a very big deal back then. But now another Telugu movie sequel is ready for release.

Going into the details of the movie so far .. The name of the movie is “Batch”. The first part will be released on the 18th of this month. Here is the glitch .. The director is new .. First movie as a hero for the hero too .. Yes First movie as a hero for the hero ..Satvik Verma, who has been introduced to us as a child actor in over 85 films like Bahubali, Duvvada Jagannadham and Racehorse, is being introduced as a hero with this batch.

Satvik Verma and Neha Patan will be seen as a couple under the banner of Akanksha Movie Makers in Baby Aradhya Presentation. Speaking on the occasion, film director Shiva said, “This is a story about youth betting and male prostitution. The music provided by Raghu Kunche is the highlight of the film. The songs that have already been released have reached the audience with a million views. Filmmaker Ramesh Ghanamajji said, “We are very happy to be in the film business in the current situation. All the senior artists who acted in it acted very well. They all gave us full support.” We are confident that our ‘Batch’ movie, which is coming out on the 18th of this month after completing all the activities, will be 100% hit. Balakrishna serious comments on AP Govt & Jagan on ticket issue

Balakrishna always his heart out and is not someone to shy away from making bold statements. The Akhanda actor has once again made serious issues on the ongoing tickets issue in AP. He said that he was invited to be a part of the delegation that met the AP CM Jaganmohan Reddy and that he chose to not go.

Balakrishna pointed out that Akhanda was a massive success despite the tickets issue. He further added that he won’t meet Jagan even if his movie has exceeded the budget. Akhanda ran successfully even with these low rates and the only time he would meet the CM would be for the sake of his constituency and not for his films.

The actor-turned-politician has made his stance on the issue quite clear now. The senior actor had earlier extended his full support to any force or body looking to resolve the issue. He also previously advised that entire Tollywood must unite to counter this problem.

He had also been critical of the government during an earlier media interaction and complained of the government’s apathy towards the industry.

Three heroines in Prabhas upcoming film

It is a known thing that Prabhas will be working with director Maruthi in an upcoming horror entertainer under DVV Entertainments. TIitled ‘Raja Deluxe’, the film has now taken an interesting turn with reports emerging that it will feature 3 heroines. The movie’s script apparently requires 3 heroines and Maruthi has started searching for the appropriate cast.

Prabhas will be giving extremely limited call sheets to complete this project. With back-to-back projects scheduled now, it will be interesting to see how the ‘Baahubali’ star manages to stuff in this Maruthi project.

The Young Rebel Star has become synonymous with big-budget pan-India releases of late. He is undoubtedly the most in-demand Tollywood star at the moment. With films like Radhe Shyam, Salaar, Adipurush, Project K, and Spirit in the pipeline, hundreds of crores are riding on him at the moment.

There are reports that this film will commence post-summer 2022 and finish in a short span. The ‘Radhe Shyam’ actor has allocated just 50 days for ‘Raja Deluxe’. SS Thaman will compose music for this project which will be bankrolled by DVV Danayya.

Director Ramesh Varma’s Khiladi has failed to impress the audience as well as the critics. The director was panned for his predictable screenplay and unimaginative direction. After the success of Rakshasudu, heavy expectations were placed on Khiladi which it failed to stand up to.

Meanwhile, Ramesh Varma has not lost hope and said that Khiladi has reached the normal audience and they are enjoying it. He also added that the producer of the film Koneru Satyanarayana is happy with him and has offered him a Rs 100 crore project. Varma added that he is working on this big-budget project at the moment.

According to reports, this film will star Pawan Kalyan. The producer Koneru Satyanarayana had earlier confirmed that he will be working with Power Star up next. And with this statement from the director, it looks like the Khiladi combo will team up with Pawan Kalyan in near future for a big-budget entertainer.

Khiladi also featured Dimple Hayathi and Meenakshi Chaudhary opposite Ravi Teja. Devi Sri Prasad composed the music while Ramesh Varma handled writing as well as direction.

A grand welcome for Ram Charan in Rajahmundry

Mega Power Star Ram Charan landed in Rajahmundry earlier and was mobbed by the fans at the airport. The ‘RRR’ actor was given a grand welcome and his arrival led to traffic blockages in various parts. He is in Rajahmundry for the third schedule of his next project with Shankar.

The star hero has joined the shoot which is going on in the villages of East Godavari. Villagers have lined up to catch a glimpse of movie shoot but tight security arrangements have been made to ensure 100% privacy.

Scenes involving Ram Charan and Srikanth are being shot at the moment. Actress Anjali is also a part of this schedule. Tamil actor/director SJ Suryah will be the antagonist in this film and he will join the film’s unit in the next schedule.

RC15 stars Kiara Advani opposite Ram Charan. The film has an ensemble cast of Srikanth, Jayram, Anjali, SJ Suryah, and Sunil. Dil Raju is bankrolling the project under Sri Venkateswara Creations and SS Thaman is composing music for this much-awaited film.

Khiladi damaal , DJ Tillu sustains

Ravi Teja’s Khiladi and Siddhu Jonnalagadda’s DJ Tillu hit the screens last week. Both these releases came with heavy expectations. While Ravi Teja’s action thriller saw the Mass Maharaja in an action-packed and comic role, Siddhu was seen tickling the funny bone in the romantic thriller.

Surprisingly, DJ Tillu has prevailed over the star vehicle Khiladi. DJ Tillu opened to great reviews and word of mouth while Khiladi was termed formulaic by many. After an average weekend, Khiladi saw heavy drops on Monday. The film is on its way to a flop status for Ravi Teja after a massively successful Krack last year.

The Siddhu Jonnalagadda starrer on the other hand a decent Monday after an extraordinary weekend. The film is doing a steady business both domestically as well as abroad. The film has collected $250K on an opening day in the USA, including premiers, and has emerged as the number 1 grosser of 2022. DJ Tillu has beaten the entire run of Bangarraju on the second day itself. It is a jackpot for USA buyers.

Meanwhile, Ravi Teja will now move on to his next project Dhamaka and Ramarao On Duty. He has placed solid expectations on these projects and is confident of their success.

No update from AP Govt on occupancy, Pawan Kalyan the only reason?

Pawan Kalyan’s Bheemla Nayak makers as well as the fans are now in a dilemma now. The reason for this is the lack of clarity or fresh orders on theatre occupancy. The AP government had earlier declared that the 50% occupancy restrictions will end on 14th February. However despite these restrictions officially ending, no new order has been passed yet about the resumption of 100% occupancy.

The government has already lifted the night curfew as of 14th February and it was expected that clarity will be given on theatres as well. The government agenda seems to be quite clear. They are still targeting Pawan Kalyan as well ass Bheemla Nayak makers.

The film is slated to release on 25th February and with just 10 days to go, there is no clarity on new tickets rates G.O as well.  The makers are keeping a close eye on the developments in the state. This is why keeping everything in mind, the Bheemla Nayak unit announced 1st April as the backup release date as well.

Pawan Kalyan and Trivikram have taken utmost care to ensure the movie is loaded with a number of whistle-worthy moments. The run time has also been shortened considerably from the original to keep the screenplay gripping and tight. Now the ball is in the court of AP government and all eyes are on them.
