Tamil star director in talks with Pawan Kalyan for a film

Power Star Pawan Kalyan is swiftly adding up to his filmography. According to the latest reports, he might just add on another film in his kitty by signing an upcoming Tamil director. As per rumours, Power Star might do a project with Valimai director H. Vinoth.

At present, Vinoth is tied up with another project for Ajith Kumar. This project is speculated to release for Diwali. After this film, Vinoth might go on to direct Pawan Kalyan. Vinoth made his debut with the Tamil film Sathuranga Vettai which went on to be a major success.

He earlier directed ‘Thala’ Ajith in ‘Nerkonda Parvai’ a remake of Hindi hit ‘Pink’. Incidentally, Powerstar Pawan Kalyan remade this film in Telugu as ‘Vakeel Saab’ last year. Coming to Vinoth and Ajith’s film Valimai, massive expectations are placed on this project and the trailer received a great response.

Meanwhile, Powerstar also has an impressive lineup raring to go. He is awaiting the release of Bheemla Nayak which will be followed by films like Hari Hara Veera Mallu with Krish and Bhavadeeyudu Bhagat Singh with Harish Shankar

Keerthy Suresh’s Good Luck Sakhi was initially in talks for a direct OTT release but due to some reasons, the direct OTT deals did not go well. The movie was released in theatres on 28th January 2022 and opened to negative reviews from the audiences.

As a result of the poor reviews, the film failed to attract audiences into the theatres. It has performed poorly at the box office and failed to even collect rents for the theatre owners and ended up with negative shares. Good Luck Sakhi has turned out to be a disaster for all parties involved.

The film also stars Aadi Pinasetty, Jagapathi Babu, and Rahul Ramakrishna among others. Nagesh Kukunoor is the director of the film. Sudheer Chandra has bankrolled the project and Devi Sri Prasad has composed the music for the film.

Kollywood star actor roped in RC15

Ram Charan and Shankar’s upcoming mega-budget flick RC15 has just got bigger and grander. The makers of this project have made an exciting addition to the film’s cast. Tamil actor/director SJ Suryah has been roped in and he will most likely be playing the villain’s role. Surya is expected to join the film’s shooting from the next schedule.

SJ Suryah is one of the most in-demand antagonists’ at the moment. His last performance as a villain in Simbu’s Maanadu brought him great accolades. He will be seen as a villain next in Sivakarthikeyan’s Don which will release o 25th March.

Currently, the third schedule of RC15 is going on and Ram Charan, Anjali, Srikanth will be shooting in East Godavari villages for the next couple of weeks. Dil Raju is producing the film while SS Thaman will compose the music for the film. Kiara Advani will play the lead role opposite Ram Charan in RC 15.

Karthik Subbaraj has written the film’s story. Prior to this, he wrote blockbuster films like Pizza, Jigarthanda, Petta among others. This is the first time he is writing for some other director. While the story has been penned by the young director, Shankar has written the screenplay and dialogues for the project.

Finally, the much-awaited Radhe Shyam Valentine glimpse has released and has left fans mesmerized. The glimpse captures a whole new angle of Prabhas capturing the fun side of the actor. The 33-second long teaser features a lot of fun visuals and the romantic side of ‘Vikramaditya’ and ‘Prerana’.

Prabhas and Pooja Hegde’s chemistry and stunning visuals in the Radhe Shyam Valentine glimpse have now further added to the expectations. The film is set in Europe and will release on March 11th.

The film was released on 14th February in theatres and opened to disastrous talk from the first show itself. The negative reviews did not help the closing collections of Rowdy Boys.

The movie theatrical rights have been sold for 10+ crores but it only managed to collect a closing share of around 4 crores and ended up becoming a flop at the box office. Excluding Uttarandhra, the movie has had a disastrous performance in all territories and buyers have ended up with huge losses.

F3 postponed to a new date, Acharya gets solo release

There has been another change in the release date of Venkatesh and Varun Tej starrer F3. The film will now release on May 27th, the makers announced. This means Chiranjeevi’s Acharya will now have a solo release on April 29th. F3 was earlier scheduled to release on April 28th marking a competition between senior stars Chiranjeevi and Venkatesh.

The last couple of months have seen a number of Tollywood releases changing and shuffling their release dates to ensure the best slot. SS Rajamouli’s RRR has so far seen 5 release date changes and the same has been the case with Radhe Shyam, Bheemla Nayak, Sarkaru Vaari Paata, Acharya, all of which have made last-minute changes.

The first single from Sarkaru Vaari Paata titled Kalavathi was originally planned for Valentine’s Day release. But unfortunately, the full song of Kalavathi was leaked on Saturday which forced the makers to release the song in advance.

But to the great joy of the makers and music director Thaman, the song has blown up on Youtube. The Kalavathi song has already broken numerous records for the most viewed and most liked song in 24 hours. It is also the fastest song to reach 1M, 2M, 3M views and the list is long. Mahesh Babu’s looks and steps are the main assets of this melodious tune.

Now, the lyrical song has set yet another benchmark. Kalavathi now holds the records for most views in 24 hours for a song, beating the record of Oo Antava Oo Oo Antava from Pushpa: The Rise.

This is a great start for the Sarkaru Vaari Paata album and fans think it was worth the wait. Thaman S and Sid Sriram have done a terrific job as always. Kalavathi is yet another addition to their list of chartbusters together.

But the decision to wait has worked like magic for DJ Tillu. People are rushing to theatres to watch the film, it has received unanimous praise from both critics and general audience. After Jathi Ratnalu, DJ Tillu has managed to drive in a majority crowd with just the content alone.

The film has collected $250K on the opening day in the USA, including premiers, and has emerged as the number 1 grosser of 2022. DJ Tillu has beaten the entire run of Bangarraju on the second day itself. It is a jackpot for USA buyers.

The trailer of the film was its biggest weapon. It made it very clear that DJ Tillu was going to be a laughter fest in theatres. This just shows yet again the wonders of a sharply cut trailer.
