Fans have already got a glimpse of what kind of action sequences are in store for them through Sarkaru Vaari Paata blaster. The sneak peek released last year saw Mahesh in an action-filled as well as a romantic avatar. Reportedly, the action sequences in this movie are going to be a total feast to the fans’ eyes.

One such sequence was shot yesterday at the Annapurna 7 Acres studios and the entire sequence has come out brilliantly. It’s definitely going to stand out as the highlight of the film. Parasuram has already mentioned earlier that movie lovers will get to see vintage Superstar in this action entertainer. Fans are definitely going to witness Pokiri vibes from Mahesh this time around.

The film’s hype has gone up much higher now with the release of the first single- Kalaavathi. The song is receiving widespread love and adulation. It has already crossed 20 million views in no time and is soaring the popularity charts.

Sarkaru Vaari Paata is scheduled to release on May 12th. Keerthy Suresh will be seen opposite Mahesh Babu. SS Thaman has composed the tunes while Mythri Movie Makers are bankrolling this Parasuram directed project.

Arabic Kuthu beats Kalaavathi, creates all time South India record

Kollywood Star Vijay’s ‘Arabic Kuthu’ has established a new South Indian record. This lyrical song from his upcoming movie beast has recorded a whopping 25 million + views in just 24 hours making it the most viewed song from South. Arabic Kuthu has now beaten the record of Sarkaru Vaari Paata’s Kalaavathi which brought up 16 million + views in 24 hours. Incidentally, Kalaavathi released just one day before the Vijay song.

The makers of both these movies updated the fans and followers of their massive records. Kalaavathi is a melodious romantic number featuring Mahesh and Keerthy Suresh with soothing visuals. The song received great applause and rave reviews from all sections. Superstar Mahesh Babu’s stylish looks and Sid Sriram’s voice are the biggest plus points of the song. Kalaavathi also created a record of most liked TFI song with 806k likes in 24 hours.

Arabic Kuthu featuring Vijay and Pooja Hegde rolled past this massive record and set the new benchmark. The song’s composer Anirudh Ravichander updated the fans on this achievement. The song has been penned by actor Sivakarthikeyan and features electrifying Arabic tunes and foot-tapping beats.

Both these songs have received great love from music lovers all over the world. Beast is an action thriller directed by Nelson Dileepkumar. Sarkaru Vaari Paata is directed by Parasuram and will release on May 12th.

Pawan Kalyan fan commits suicide over Bheemla Nayak

The incident happened in Jagtial, Telangana. The young boy was just 11 years old and the reason for this tragedy is even more shocking. Reportedly, this young Pawan Kalyan fan had asked his father for money for the advance ticket booking of Bheemla Nayak. Much to his dismay, his father refused to give him money leading to the young boy taking his life.

This incident has shocked the neighbours and nearby villagers. Such incidents are always disheartening and bring forth the need of sensitizing the young ones. These acts not only bring great sorrow to the family and loved ones but also the stars for who these fans take such extreme steps.

No Restrictions to theatres in AP from tomorrow

Finally, the much-awaited moment has come for Tollywood bringing smiles to the faces of the entire trade circle and filmmakers. Starting tomorrow, there would be no occupancy restrictions in theatres in AP. The AP government had earlier imposed night curfew and 50 % occupancy restrictions in the state in wake of Covid 3rd wave.

The government had declared that these restrictions would come to an end on 14th February. The distributors have been intimated of this development and the theatres in AP will now run on full steam. This announcement comes right before the release of Powerstar Pawan Kalyan’s much-awaited Bheemla Nayak. The makers announced a short while ago that the film will go ahead with the 25th Feb date as decided.

Starting with Bheemla Nayak on 25th, there will be a Tollywood biggie releasing every two weeks. This series of releases will go on till May end with F3 releasing on May 27th.

Meanwhile, a new G.O on the ticket pricing issue is also expected to come out by this month-end. The government has also assured that films with a budget of Rs 100 crores and above will be allowed special hikes. Similarly, even pan-India films will be extended the same benefits.

Bheemla Nayak Makers Announce Official Release Date

Pawan Kalyan’s Bheemla Nayak is no stranger to hurdles. The film was originally embroiled in a controversy on Twitter, after which the shooting of the film was delayed due to COVID-19. When things were all set and it was time for release, the third wave of COVID-19 took hostage of Bheemla Nayak.

The makers of Bheemla Nayak originally planned for a release on either February 25th or April 1st. But there was no clear-cut clarity. The release date of February 25th almost seemed impossible as the days went by.

But after the meeting between Jagan and the members of the film industry, the makers were slightly hopeful that things will be sorted out.

It looks like the makers are confident in the AP government. They are heading swiftly to a February 25th release date. The makers announced on Twitter that Bheemla Nayak will be reporting in theatres from February 25th.

Apart from Pawan Kalyan, the film also stars Rana Daggubati, Nithya Menen, Samyuktha Menon and Murali Sharma among others. Saagar K Chandra is the director of the film and S. Vamsi has produced it under Sithara Entertainments. Thaman is the music director.

Tollywood big budget marathon begins, big movie release in every two weeks

After a calm January and a silent February first three weeks, the Tollywood box office is all set to make some massive noise. Powerstar Pawan Kalyan’s Bheemla Nayak will start the chain of Tollywood big releases which will go on till May-end.

Tollywood will see a big-budget release every two weeks after Bheemla Nayak. March 11th will see Prabhas’ much-awaited pan India romantic entertainer Radhe Shyam releasing. This will be followed by the most awaited of all SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus RRR release on 25th March. RRR has undoubtedly been the most-awaited and expensive of the Tollywood biggies to release in the coming months. Fans are eager to see what Tarak and Charn have in store for them and the hype is building up.

April 14th will see Rocking Star Yash’s much-awaited KGF: Chapter 2 hitting the screens. This sequel to 2018 KGF: Chapter 1, is one of the most awaited pan-India projects as well. Two weeks after this will mark the entry of Megastar Chiranjeevi with Acharya. The film after multiple postponements finalized this date.

The month of May will see another Tollywood biggie hitting the screens and it is none other than Superstar Mahesh Babu’s Sarkaru Vaari Paata. The movie is building its hype day by day and the recently released Kalaavathi song has taken the expectations to another level.

These back-to-back releases chain will be concluded by Venkatesh’s F3. The movie was recently moved to May 27th. All in all, movie lovers are surely in for a treat with so many blockbuster releases lined up close to each other.

Popular reality show Bigg Boss (Telugu) is now all set to enter the OTT sphere as well. The show so far has been telecasted on Television and this will be the first time it will make a digital entry. Another specialty of the show is that this Bigg Boss OTT season will feature some old contestants from the previous seasons.

Nagarjuna will host this season as well and it will premiere from February 26th. This season will be called Bigg Boss Non-Stop. A similar Tamil OTT version was launched recently and it was named Bigg Boss Ultimate. Kamal Haasan will be hosting the Tamil version.

Aamir Khan takes Prabhas’ release date

Aamir Khan starrer Lal Singh Chaddha is one of the most anticipated Bollywood biggies to hit the screens this year. The film will also mark Naga Chaitanya’s Bollywood debut and will also star Kareena Kapoor. The film is an official remake of the Hollywood blockbuster Forrest Gump.

The film has already seen multiple delays in shoot and the release date has been postponed a couple of times so far. The makers earlier today announced that the film has been once again postponed from 14th April to 11th August. This week was reserved for Prabhas’ much-awaited Adipurush which was supposed to release on August 14th. The film’s release now stands postponed. The new date of Prabhas and Kriti Sanon will be announced soon.

Lal Singh Chaddha was earlier set to clash with KGF:2 in April and now the Yash starrer action-thriller will now compete with Shahid Kapoor’s Jersey. Shahid Kapoor took to social media and stated that Jersey which was supposed to release on 31st December will now release on 14th April. Aamir Khan Productions thanked Adipurush team for being accomodating and moving their release date further.

Mahaan review – A familiar yet engaging and stylish action drama with Vikram’s swag in full force

Story: Gandhi Mahaan (Vikram) belongs to a family of Gandhi followers and they are very specific about following all Gandhi principles. He leads a life with restrictions until he is 40. When his wife and son go on a trip to Tirupati, Gandhi Mahaan decides to spend that day on his terms and it changes his life forever. What happened on that day and how did his life change? Is it for the good or bad? All these questions are answered in the rest of the story.

Performances: Vikram is fantastic here and his swag and style easily remind us of him from a decade ago. This is easily one of the best characters played by him in recent years and he has played it with utter ease. Dhruv Vikram in a role with negative shades was quite confident and entertaining and was a perfect match against Vikram. It was surely a treat to watch the father and son lock horns. Simran was neat in a small yet important role. Bobby Simha, Sananth and Vettai Muthukumar, these three people deserve huge appreciation for their excellent performances in strongly written roles. Definitely of the best roles in the careers of all three.

Analysis: Karthik Subbaraj has once again played to his strengths by picking the gangster template. However, he has corrected certain things this time, which he had missed out on in his previous film. He has focused more on creating a screenplay that is engaging and as well-paced as possible. He has also ensured that there are supporting characters with the right and required amount of screen space. Shreyaas Krishna’s cinematography and Santosh Narayanan’s background score are fantastic and did full justice to the tone and genre of the film. The costumes and production design too deserve mention for the quality work. The first half of the film proceeds on familiar lines after a point but has good energy levels to keep things lively. The interval sequence is fantastic and the entire second half revolves around Vikram and Dhruv, and despite some hiccup’s, the chemistry between the two, the guessable yet exciting twists and a fitting ending kept things interesting till the end.

Verdict: Mahaan is a typical gangster drama but has excellent performances, good technical support and an engaging screenplay to keep the momentum going. A strong comeback from Vikram and a definite recommended watch.
