Prabhas fans upset with his decison

Prabhas has become synonymous with big-budget pan-India releases of late. He is undoubtedly the most in-demand Tollywood star at the moment. With films like Radhe Shyam, Salaar, Adipurush, Project K, and Spirit in the pipeline, hundreds of crores are riding on him at the moment.

Amidst these big-budget monster projects, reports are emerging that the Young Rebel Star will be doing a small movie in an extremely short span of time. Director Maruthi, who is known for small budget rom-com is slated to direct this unique project.

According to the buzz, DVV Danayya will be bankrolling this project and Prabhas will be giving extremely limited call sheets to complete this project. With back-to-back projects scheduled now, it will be interesting to see how the ‘Baahubali’ star manages to stuff in this Maruthi project.

This has created quite a dissent among Prabhas fans who do not want him to work on this project. Maruthi’s style of direction and characterization is totally contrasting to Prabhas’s image. Such characters would not suit star heroes and it would be a huge commercial risk and would not work in line with Prabhas’ stardom. Hence, fans feel it would be best if their star drops this project altogether.

He is presently awaiting Radhe Shyam release while shooting for Aadipurush is completed. Salaar and Project K are currently in the shooting phase while Spirit is next in line. There are reports that this film will commence post-summer 2022 and finish in a short span.

Unstoppable With NBK’s Mahesh Babu episode promo is out now. The show has been an absolute hit among Telugu cinema lovers. The main unique selling point of the show is Balayya’s chemistry and spontaneity with his guests.

Aha seems to have saved the best for last. This is the season finale of the 10 episode long show. The promo promises to be an absolute comedic treat, with Balakrishna and Mahesh Babu in top form. Balakrishna’s energy and Mahesh Babu’s satire make for a fun-filled Unstoppable episode.

Prabhas team delayed but not RRR makers

The sudden announcement by RRR makers on release dates has got a massive positive reception. This huge update has breathed life into the industry and all of a sudden the possibilities of release clashes and celebrations have sparked up.

The makers are looking at two potential release dates for the film. The makers are looking at 18th March if COVID-19 cases come to a halt, otherwise, the film will release on April 28th.

This is a direct call-out to the Radhe Shyam team by the RRR makers. It was earlier reported that Prabhas’s Radhe Shyam unit was considering the 18th March date. However, SS Rajamouli beat UV creations in making the crucial decision. Now it needs to be seen if Radhe Shyam is up for the clash or will they push their film to May.

Currently, the next few months are packed with releases such as Bheemla Nayak, Sarkaru Vaari Paata, Acharya, F3 and with RRR entering the fray now, the Radhe Shyam team has to decide fast.

Allu Arjun’s Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo Hindi release called off

The makers of Shehzada can breathe easy now as the release of Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo Hindi dubbed is called off. Goldmines Telefilms holds the dubbing rights of the 2020 Allu Arjun starrer and had earlier last week announced their plan to release the dubbed version.

This announcement caught the makers of Shehzada by quite a surprise. Starring Kartik Aryan, Shehzada is the official Bollywood remake of Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo. Goldmines Telefilms wanted to cash in on the success of Allu Arjun’s Pushpa and all of a sudden announced Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo Hindi dubbed release.

Reportedly, team Shehzada makers offered Goldmine Telefilms a whopping Rs 8 crores to stop theatrical and OTT release. Interestingly it was Allu Aravind himself who sold the rights to Goldmine Telefilms. The ace producer might have cut a deal to stop the release of the dubbed version.

Allu Aravind flew down to Mumbai today and along with his co-producers, he had a meeting with Manish Shah and convince him not to release Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo Hindi in theaters.

The film will star Kartik Aryan and Kriti Sanon in lead role. Paresh Raval will play Murali Sharma’s role while Manisha Koirala will be essaying the character played by Tabu. Rohit Dhawan is directing Shehzada while Pritam will compose the tunes. Allu Aravind and Bhushan Kumar will be producing this remake.

Akhanda- The only clean hit film of TFI after 2nd wave

Balakrishna’s Akhanda has achieved a rare feat that many of the recent TFI films have failed at. Akhanda has become one of those rare movies to run for 50 days in theatres across multiple centers. At a time when films are making their way to the OTTs within a month of release, this Balakrishna starrer has stood like a bright shining star achieving the impossible. The film has been the only clean hit from TFI post the Covid 2nd wave

The film released amidst great concerns and delays. However, this Balayya and Boyapati combination movie started its victory run right from Day 1. Fans and industry insiders were eager to see how this biggie would perform after the 2nd wave. And it really surprised many with the way it performed both domestically as well as overseas.

Films like Love Story, Most Eligible Bachelor, and Shyam Singha Roy did well at the box office. But they failed to reach the breakeven status in all territories. Some areas even recorded heavy losses for these films. Even the much anticipated TFI biggie Pushpa (Telugu) failed to achieve breakeven in all territories. Bangarraju has also joined this list as it is performing well only in Andhra and is registering losses in Nizam. This Akkineni multistarrer is on its way to register losses in the overseas markets as well.

Akhanda has been the only film to achieve complete breakeven and subsequent success across all the territories. The collections for this action entertainer would have been even higher if not for the AP tickets pricing issue.
