Government of Andhra Pradesh has released the much awaited G.O. on ticket prices in Andhra Pradesh. Everyone is coming eagerly waiting for this G.O. from many days. Stars like Mahesh, Prabhas, Rajamouli met Jagan with Megastar Chiranjeevi’s initiation and requested government to reconsider the ticket prices in AP and came out happy with supporting words from Jagan. From then all are waiting for the positive response from AP government and the day has finally arrived. The big budget films Radhe Shyam and RRR are releasing in few days, the curiosity on G.O. has been increased. Today the government of AP has released the new G.O. but with few conditions which made the makers of Radhe Shyam and RRR to go in dilemma.

Government has increased ticket prices in new G.O. and the rates are encouraging for the small budget as well as big budget films. So the makers can now plan the production based on the new rules for their upcoming projects. But the main problem is with already completed movies. One of the conditions is Super Budget Films (100 Cr without remuneration) will be allowed Special Rates only if 20% shooting is done in AP. As 20% of Radhe Shyam and RRR movies are not shot in AP , according to G.O. these two films are not eligible to get the special hikes. This has shocked all the trade experts and fans of the stars. But in a special note, Minister Perni Nani made it clear that Radhe Shyam and RRR are exempted from this G.O. These two movies can have special rates according to new G.O. and five shows are permitted. He also mentioned that the conditions will be strictly followed for the new films that will be produced from here after. So all the hurdles for the two much awaited big budget films are now cleared and fans are now ready for the huge celebrations.

Aadavallu Meeku Johaarlu 1st weekend box office report – Poor !

Sharwanand and Rashmika starrer Aadavallu Meeku Johaarlu had a disastrous opening day which released on March 4. The theatrical rights were sold at Rs 20 Crore. The film’s collection was not even close to 3 crore on it’s opening day. However the team pinned hopes on the weekend. But it too is proving them wrong by performing poor. The film’s fist weekend collections are around 7 crores which is one-third of the total theatrical business. There is also no chance for the film to breakeven considering it’s talk and run. This will be yet another disaster for Sharwanand.

Aadavallu Meeku Johaarlu projected as a lady sentiment and family drama didn’t quite struck well with audience. The film majorly banked on the prior success of Tirumala Kishore’s Chitralahari. Sharwanand too would have considered doing a film with him wanting the same success in return. Devi Sri Prasad who composes chartbusters for Tirumala Kishore too became helpless. His songs didn’t sound good and the audio of the film too failed.

Sharwanand who already had many disasters would be the sole victim of the film’s failure. His wait for a hit still continues. He needs to rethink about the films he is choosing.

Radhe Shyam promotions are going on at full swing and Prabhas has been busy with continuous interviews and events. The pan-India star Prabhas is the busiest star at the moment with 4 back to back biggies lined up. After Radhe Shyam’s release on March 11th, he will be packed with Salaar, Aadipurush, Project K and Beast works. He also has a project with Maruthi in between which he will squeeze into his busy schedule by the year-end.

While he has finished Adipurush filming, the films are going to take most of his time in the coming years. Speaking at the Radhe Shyam promotions, Prabhas said, “I am working without breaks continuously on 3-4 films simultaneously. I want to release 2 films per year to make my fans happy.”

Prabhas has spoken at great length about his fans and his efforts to make them happy. He stated that he is working for 300 days a year to ensure fans see him on screen more often than before.

Radhe Shyam which will release worldwide on 11th March will have its premiere on 10th March. Prabhas is playing the role of Vikramaditya- a palmist and the trailers have filled the fans with great curiosity. Pooja Hegde stars opposite Prabhas and she is playing a medico named Prerna in the film. Radhe Krishna has directed this film bankrolled by UV Creations. This Prabhas starrer is a period romantic drama set in Europe and features stunning visuals.

Prabhas’ Radhe Shyam is just a few days away from its release of March 11th and there is still no sign of a new G.O. The period romantic drama, which will release on March 11th is made on a massive budget and is a pan-India film. Hence, the prevailing ticket rates are definitely going to mean massive losses in AP for Radhe Shyam makers.

Hence Radhe Shyam makers have requested the AP Government for concessions in this case. They are also hoping for a revised G.O in 2-3 days. Along with this makers also requested Hike prices in all Centers considering the budget. CM Jaganmohan Reddy had stated that films that have a budget of Rs 100 crores and above will be allowed special hikes. Similarly, even pan-India films will be extended the same benefits.

The Rs 100 crores budget would have to exclude hero, heroine, and director remunerations, the CM clarified last month. Radhe Shyam fits into this criterion and the makers are trying for a price of Rs 200-Rs 250 in all centers and benefit shows. We need to see how the government reacts to this demand of Radhe Shyam makers and whether the film receives any special treatment.

Bheemla Nayak 2nd Weekend Box Office Report – Below Par

Pawan Kalyan and Rana Daggubati starrer Bheemla Nayak opening big on Day 1 thanks to the star image of Pawan Kalyan. The film is a remake of Malayalam blockbuster Ayyappanum Koshiyum. Trivikram wrote dialogues and did few changes to the film. The film went on to collect more than 30 crores on the day 1 itself. It even did good till the first weekend. The holiday of Maha Shivarathri too helped the film mint more money.

Bheemla Nayak has completed its 1st week run by collecting a share of 83.2Crs worldwide. This is the career best week for Pawan Kalyan. But the film is struggling on weekdays. Now the second weekend seems to be not helping the film causing more damage. The collection of the 2nd weekend is close to 5 crores which is shocking. This is is very low when compared to Pushpa and Akhanda.

The overall worldwide share after 2nd weekend will be somewhere around 88 crores and the theatrical business is close to 107.6 crores. The film needs to collect another 20 crores for breakeven which almost looks impossible. Pawan Kalyan’s Vakeel Saab too met the same fate.

This makes one thing clear that his choosing of remakes is not going well with audience. Other films like Pushpa and Akhanda etc are having repeat audience for every week. Pawan Kalyan’s remakes are offering nothing that suit to his image. He might be doing these films for his own political gains. Ticket prices are not an issue as same prices were levied on Pushpa and Akhanda. So what is making wrong is his selection of films which are already watched by many. Moreover his star image is not suitable for such films’ remakes.

Sebastian 1st Weekend Box Office Report – Disastrous

Kiran abbavaram starrer Sebastian is heading towards a disaster. This is his third venture after Raja Vaaru Rani gaaru and SR Kalyanamandapam. These two films had a strong youth factor and family sentiments resulting in some success. Sebastian P.C. 524 is about a Police constable played by him suffering from night blindness. This generally rises some expectations with the comedy element in it. The film however didn’t strike well with the audiences. The film is heading towards a disaster after it’s first weekend.

Sebastian initially planned for release on 25 february postponed for a week to avoid clash with Bheemla Nayak. Kiran Abbavaram spoke great about the film applauding the film’s theme and his performance. He looked very confident about the success of the film. The entire cast too relied on the comedy element the film offers. The theatrical business of the film was also good but the movie opened to disastrous talk and openings from the first show. On the opening day itself the film suffered to recover the rents in most of the stations. Many theatres have cancelled the shows and replaced the film with other films in the first weekend itself. The film might end up as an outright disaster if we go by the rental basis.

What went wrong ?

Kiran Abbavaram who rose to fame with his short films did Raja Vaaru Rani gaaru as his debut film. This film had a major backing of comedy, love story and youth elements which made the film a known one. His next film SR Kalyanamandapam written by himself too had the same youth aspects mixed with Sai Kumar’s solo performance which too saved the film. But his choosing of Sebastian as a police with a serious subject and performance didn’t go well the audience.

The projected comedy in the film too didn’t workout. The major night blindness element used for the comedy in the film didn’t generate laughs it seems. The film also took a serious turn from the second half which too was completely rejected by the audience. Over confidence of the entire cast and crew costed badly for the film. He now has almost 5 films in line which might have an effect. Let’s wait and see what happens

Rift between Prabhas and Pooja Hegde ?

Prabhas and Pooja Hegde starred alongside for their film Radhe Shyam slated for release on March 11. Both worked for more than a year for this film. This film is Prabhas’ next venture after Sahoo. Both shared good chemistry even in the teasers and trailer of the film. The film is a periodic drama with much extravaganza.

Now it appears that all is not well between both. There are lot of rumours that came in Radhe Shyam shoot about the differences happened between them. It was even rumoured that they were not in talking terms too. Ahead of the film’s release the team started planning for the promotions. Prabhas along with the rest of the cast is busy giving interviews to many channels and social media wings. Pooja Hegde too attended some of these interactions.

If we look close at the behavior of them in these promotions, this might even look true. Pooja Hegde looks very uncomfortable in these interviews. The rapport between both as a pair doesn’t look good in these interactions. Prabhas who is known for simplicity is referred to as Darling by many in the industry. Pooja Hegde too doesn’t have kind of differences with anyone.

One wonders what made them to have a difference. Is it related to the film or about any other issue Or it just a rumour ? It has to be seen in the future related events. It would be better if both clear air about these rumours.

Nagababu taking revenge on Mohanbabu !

Nagababu seems to be taking revenge on Mohanbabu keeping in view of the latter’s active participation in Movie Artistes’ Association (MAA) Elections 2021 campaign. Mohanbabu’s son Manchu Vishnu contested for the president post. Much drama happened in these elections with the two participating groups taking sides.

One sided with Mega Family and the other sided with Mohanbabu. Prakash Raj stood as the candidate which even made things worse. His open comments against Mohanbabu too didn’t go well. Nagababu actively supported Prakash Raj and he too made comments against Vishnu and Mohanbabu. But ultimately Vishnu won against Prakash Raj. This angered both Prakash Raj and Nagababu.

Nagababu earlier made some comments against Balakrishna who made some comments against his brother Pawan Kalyan. He uploaded some videos on YouTube openly criticizing him. This way he had revenge on Balakrishna. Now it’s Mohanbabu’s turn it seems. Recently there is a major issue happened in Mohanbabu’s house. His personal hair dresser has quit the job and left his house. He accused Mohanbabu and Manchu Vishnu of bashing and torturing him. He uploaded a video to this effect.

Nagababu has come to the rescue of this guy. He came forward and met him and his family personally. He even helped him financiallly by offering 50,000 rupees and promised to support him more. There is no need of Nagababu’s involvement here. But one can clearly see this as a revenge act of Nagababu towards Mohanbabu.

On the other hand both Mohanbabu and his family are tight-lipped about this incident. These kind of acts by Nagababu are troubling both Megastar Chiranjeevi and his fans. It would be better for Nagababu to remain silent on such incidents.
