Tollywood’s recent release Rowdy Boys might not have done well at the box office but producer Dil Raju looks satisfied with its report. Speaking to the media, the ace producer said that he was pretty happy with the way the film has performed.
“Rowdy Boys grossed Rs 7 crores with a Rs 4 crores share in just 5 days of its release,” stated Dil Raju. Meanwhile, Ashish has already signed on to his next project. The film will be titled ‘Selfish’ and will be directed by Kashi, who was an assistant director with Sukumar. Sukumar Writings and Dil Raju will jointly produce this film which will go on floors soon.
“Sukumar saw the photos and videos of Ashish and was impressed with his youthful looks. He was convinced that the role perfectly suits Ashish and has decided to produce the film jointly with me. We are planning to start the first schedule soon,” said Dil Raju.
Rowdy Boys released on 14th January to negative reviews. Despite the presence of Anupama Parameswaran and music by DSP, the film failed to attract the audience. This youthful entertainer was even heavily promoted by top stars of Tollywood. The film marked the debut of Dil Raju’s nephew, Ashish Reddy.
