Bheemla Nayak to release on two OTT platforms

Bheemla Nayak is just a week away from release and the hype is at an all-time high. The makers have given an official confirmation of the pre-release event going to take place on 21st February.

With such a massive positive buzz and massive anticipation among the audience, the makers are also confident of a great show at the box office.

The film is on its way towards a massive opening and is eying many milestones. One of these is the US premiere record. Excluding the Bahubali series, no other Tollywood film(Non-Tuesday releases) has crossed $1Million premiers. The US advance bookings are quite encouraging and the Bheemla Nayak has already crossed the $100K mark. 

The film has done a great pre-release business worth ₹107.65 Cr. This action entertainer will have premiers in the US on 24th February. 

Meanwhile, the OTT rights have been acquired by not one but two platforms. Bheemla Nayak will now stream on Disney+ Hotstar and Aha. Earlier films like Annaatthe (Peddanna) also had a similar deal where Netflix and SunNext acquire the streaming rights.

Bheemla Nayak is less than a week away from release. This pre-release euphoria has not just engulfed Pawan Kalyan fans, but the entire Tollywood. The excitement for the movie release is at an all-time high and advance bookings have been opened much to fans’ glee.

Despite the celebratory atmosphere, there is one thing that has angered Pawan Kalyan fans a great deal. With less than a week to go for the release, there is still no update on the trailer. The makers have also not notified anything on social media. The lack of information on the trailer release is causing great anxiety to the fans.

The movie is releasing with great expectations and has an open ground at the box office. Bheemla Nayak is well poised to even break the Baahubali 2 opening week records if all goes well. The pre-release event of the film will be held in Hyderabad on February 21st.

Rana Daggubati is co-starring along with Pawan Kalyan in Bheemla Nayak. The film also stars Nithya Menen, Samyuktha Menon, and Murali Sharma in key roles. Sagar K Chandra has directed this film while it is bankrolled under Sithara Entertainments. SS Thaman has composed the music and the screenplay is helmed by Trivikram.

100+ new theatres added for DJ Tillu in 2nd week

DJ Tillu is continuing its successful run in the second week as well. This Sidhu Jonnalagadda starrer opened to decent reviews but great numbers at the box office. This romantic comedy is performing very well and new theatres are added for the 2nd week.

In Nizam region, the movie has collected a solid Rs 10 crores gross and saw 80 screens being added for the second week. In total, more than 120 theatres are being added for 2nd week in Telugu states.

DJ Tillu has been performing well right from day one both domestically as well as abroad. The film is doing a steady business both domestically as well as abroad. The film collected $250K on an opening day in the USA, including premiers, and has emerged as the number 1 grosser of 2022. DJ Tillu has beaten the entire run of Bangarraju on the second day itself. Overall, it has been a jackpot for the buyers.

The film also stars Neha Shetty, Prince Cecil, Brahmaji, and Pragathy among others. Vimal Krishna has directed DJ Tillu. Suryadevara Naga Vamsi has produced the film under the Sithara Entertainments banner.

Update from the AP Ticket Pricing Committee meeting

The recent meeting of AP Ticket Pricing Committee has brought out a lot of clarity on the tickets issue. Almost all demands of exhibitors are going to be met. Separate reasonable rates for Panchayati, municipality and municipal corporation centers will be fixed. Apart from this, multiplexes in gram panchayat will also have favourable pricing for the exhibitors.

The minimum ticket rate recommended is Rs 40 while the maximum has been set at Rs 140. This is the stipulated ticket rate for movies with a budget of up to Rs 75 crores. This figure will change in the case of Rs 100 crore movies and a ticket hike will be provided. Additionally, small movies will also get permission to screen the fifth show.

Additionally, the committee has suggested 20% of tickets in multiplexes be priced under the lower category.

Film chamber Vice-Chairman Mutyala Ramdas who was a part of the meeting requested the committee that RRR makers be allowed to hike ticket prices.

Mutyala Ramdas also stated that Chiranjeevi meeting YS Jaganmohan Reddy helped the issue to be fast-tracked towards a solution. It was also decided that TFI would make more efforts to produce films from AP and use the facilities promised by the government.

The delegates from the film industry have requested the new G.O to be issued by 20th. However, that is unlikely to happen. CM Jaganmohan Reddy will be reviewing the pointers from the AP Ticket Pricing Committee meeting and is expected to make a decision next week.

Kamal Hassan crazy project locks the release date

Kamal Haasan starrer upcoming action thriller Vikram is all set to enthrall the audience this summer. The makers have decided to release the film on 28th April 2022. Vijay Sethupathi and Fahadh Faasil will be seen alongside Kamal Haasan in this project. The three talented actors will be seen in an intense and rugged look in this movie directed by Lokesh Kangaraj.

Vikram is currently in its filming stages and will be wrapped up by March-end. The film is being produced by Kamal Haasan’s Rajkamal Films International.

Anirudh Ravichander has composed the music of Vikram, Girish Gangadharan handles the cinematography and Philomin Raj is in charge of editing. The film’s glimpse was released last year and it featured the senior actor in an action-packed character. The teaser’s background music and Kamal’s intense portrayal were well appreciated.

The makers are also keeping a close watch of Vijay’s Beast release date. The action entertainer directed by Nelson Dileepkumar will hit the screens on April 14th.

Young actor Sathvik Varma who has featured in over 70 films including Baahubali, DJ, Malli Raava among others has come up with his latest release Batch Part 1. The film is a collective endeavour of newcomers with Shiva directing this film made under Akanksha Movie Makers. Let’s find out if the film was successful in engaging the viewers.

Story: The story begins with a group of 3 friends at the Vizag beach. From here it proceeds to a college where Sathvik joins. He soon falls in love with the heroine in a common manner. This is where the story takes an interesting turn where the hero and his friends are engulfed in the world of cricket betting under Salim (Prabhakar). Why did Sathvik enter the betting world and how did he encounter the menace of Salim. How he faces the challenges of the dark world of betting and drugs is what the story is about.

Performances: The lead pair of Sathvik Verma and Neha Pathan look the part and perfectly fit the role of college-going youngsters. The casting and music by Raghu Kunche are of the main highlights of this film. Prabhakar has received a meaty role here and does complete justice to his part as Salim. The writing majorly focuses on the life of youngsters between 18-22 and director Shiva has done a decent job at portraying the adolescent stage quite convincingly.

Analysis: Batch is a film that must be watched by youngsters as it does a great job with depicting their lives and their problems. The film has depicted the modern college-going students and their issues quite well and the credit must go to the makers for bringing a relevant issue in front of people. Batch is pretty short in runtime and manages to convey its objective effectively.

Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s Bheemla Nayak censor formalities are now complete. The screening was done earlier today in Hyderabad. The film has been given a U/A rating while the runtime is 2 Hour 25 minutes. The censor report has been quite positive and the censor team has also appreciated the makers for the output.

The most interesting thing about the censor report is the runtime of the film. The original ‘Ayyappannum Koshiyum‘ was 2 hours 57 minutes long. Bheemla Nayak makers have cut down almost half an hour of the length which is expected to add to the gripping screenplay.

Pawan and Trivikram have taken utmost care to ensure the movie is loaded with a number of whistle-worthy moments. The run time has also been shortened considerably from the original to keep the screenplay gripping and tight.

Bheemla Nayak censor completion has now paved the way for the grand pre-release event scheduled on February 21st. The event is reported to be held in Yousufguda Police Grounds.
