Bheemla Nayak Latest Poster Hurts Daggubati Fans

0

Ever since Rana Daggubati was announced to play the antagonist in Bheemla Nayak, fans and movie lovers have been eagerly waiting to see the two-star actors lock horns on the big screens. It is of common knowledge that Rana is one of the finest antagonists in the Telugu Film Industry. He has proved himself in the Bahubali franchise.

But when the title of the film was announced, it created a lot of controversy. The original Malayalam film Ayyappanum Koshiyum was named after both the main leads in the film. It was a story about two equals and the clash of their egos. This decision did not go well with Rana’s fans.

Unfortunately, this was only the start. Going by the promotional content also, Lala Bheemla, Bheemla Nayak Title Song seem to suggest a one-sided affair. Now the recent posters are also suggesting the same. Except for an odd few posters from Bheemla Nayak, none of them seem to have Rana Daggubati in them.

The original film was so good because of the characterizations of both the actors. It is to be seen whether this decision from the makers favors them or not. The hype around the film is huge so the collections might not be affected but the movie-watching experience might be affected.

Bheemla Nayak also stars Nithya Menen, Samyuktha Menon, Murali Sharma, and Brahmanandam in lead roles. Trivikram has written the screenplay for the film and Saagar K Chandra is the director of the film. S. Naga Vamsi has produced the film. Thaman S is the music director.

The reason Tollywood distributors are boycotting booking portals

0

Tollywood distributors have decided to boycott online booking portals such as Book My Show and others. This is a surprising move considering the vast majority of audiences in cities depend on these portals to book tickets. This means the advance booking will be done the old-fashioned way directly from the booking counters.

The reason Tollywood distributors are boycotting these portals is because of heavy convenience charges levied for every ticket. This charge is around 10% and varies from one portal to another. Now the distributors and exhibitors are demanding a share from these convenience charges taken from the ticket buyer. The booking portals are strongly opposed to this idea and do not want to share the charges.

The online portals are saying that if they give in to this demand from Telangana exhibitors then every state exhibitor will also demand the same. This would mean a huge loss to Book My Show, PayTM, and others. For Bheemla Nayak, the distributors have started this trend and it needs to be seen how long this goes on. The online booking for this Pawan Kalyan starrer opened just yesterday

Manchu family sends the legal notice to trollers and websites

0

In order to counter the rising trolls and social media negativity against them, Manchu family through Manchu Vishnu’s 24 Frames Factory released a statement. The note mentioned that over the last many days the personal trolls and derogatory remarks are floating on Social media.

The note warned the creators of these posts to stop and delete these trolls at the earliest or else they will face a defamation suit of Rs 10 crores. This note has evoked surprised many with netizens questioning the basic logic of the note.

A few days ago Mohan Babu had claimed that a couple of star heroes are paying 100s of trollers to attack him and his family. He had added that while he enjoys a good joke and a dash of sarcasm, these trolls are crossing limits and getting personal.

Most of these trolls on Manchu family are aimed at ‘Son of India’ and its performance at box office. The film has been panned by critics and audiences and many shows have even been canceled.

Mega Power Star Ram Charan’s film with Shankar is under filming now. The shoot of this third schedule of the film is going on in the East Godavari villages. Some crucial scenes featuring Charan, Srikanth and Anjali are being shot in this schedule.

Shankar and the entire unit has taken utmost care and have even released multiple requests to the locals to not click any pictures or shoot videos. As the shooting outdoor, some pictures of Ram Charan have leaked revealing his look from the film. Charan can be seen in traditional attire and his look is quite mellow and periodic. It is being speculated that this could be from a special sequence in the film.

It looks like Shankar is back to his strong zone where the story is bigger than visuals with a native drama. Kiara Advani will be seen opposite the ‘RRR’ while SJ Suriyah is slated to play the villain in this film. SS Thaman is composing the tunes and Dil Raju is backing this project.

RC15 was launched amidst great fanfare last year. The shoot started at Pune schedule and the current schedule is the third one in the series. Shankar is aiming for a Sankranti 2023 release.

TFI is boycotting Book My Show & other portals in Telangana

0

The decision to disallow Book My Show and others for Pawan Kalyan’s Bheemla Nayak in Telangana has shocked many movie lovers. Actually, this is a mark of protest by the cine industry showcasing their dissatisfaction over certain terms of the online portals such as Book My Show, PayTM and others.

These platforms levy a convenience charge of 11% on the ticket rates. With the cine industry opening up just now with a string of biggies set to release, this 11% charge is burning a hole in the pockets of filmmakers. Already the AP ticket pricing issue has caused major losses to many films. While it will be resolved at the earliest, the filmmakers also want to bring an end to the issue of online convenience charges.

For Bheemla Naayak, there will be no online bookings. The tickets will be sold at counters only like in the earlier days. The online booking for this Pawan Kalyan starrer opened just today.

Son of India review: Outdated concept tests your patience

0

Movie: Son of India
Rating: 1.5/5
Cast: Mohan Babu, Pragya Jaiswal, Srikanth, Naresh
Director: Diamond Ratna Babu
Produced By: Vishnu Manchu
Release Date: February 18th, 2022

Veteran actor Mohan Babu’s home production Son of India came in front of the audience this week after multiple delays. The film has faced a lot of negativity and trolls even before its release. The Manchu family on the other hand has pinned a lot of hopes on this project. Let’s find out of the film could redeem itself

Story: Kadiyam Babji (Mohan Babu) is a man of strict principles and decides to take on the corrupt system by kidnapping government officials. NIA officer Ira has been assigned to stop these crimes and arrest the perpetrators. Why is Kadiyam Babji involved in these serial kidnappings? What is his backstory? What is his final goal is what the story is about

Performances: The film is all about Mohan Babu. He is omnipresent across all the plots and sub-plots of the movie. The other characters are mere fillers used to elevate the senior actor who goes on tireless sermons and monologues about the country and its current situation. There is absolutely nothing that can be even said about senior actors Srikanth and Naresh who have no scope in the Mohan Babu Universe. Diamond Ratna Babu’s writing and direction are pretty lackluster and despite a very small runtime, the film manages to lose viewers’ interest quite fast. The CGI is sloppy and the dialogues are outdated. This vigilante drama fails to grasp viewers’ fancy due to its jarred screenplay and cliched scenes.

Analysis: Son of India is an extended showreel of Mohan Babu’s attempt at showcasing his acting skills. Even Megastar Chiranjeevi’s voice-over and Maestro Ilaiyaraja’s music are not adept to handle the snoozefest that Son of India is. The film is definitely not the theatre experience one should seek.

Plus Points:

  • Runtime
  • Certain issues showcased in the movie

Minus Points:

  • Sloppy writing
  • Outdated concept
  • Technical Values

Verdict: Son of India is a major misfire and an actor of Mohan Babu’s stature definitely needs to focus on more author-backed roles that can actually bring out the actor in him. Overall its quite a forgettable experience
