Sharwanand is on a quest to score gold at the box office. His last two films Mahasamudram and Sreekaram failed to bring success and now he has pinned all hopes on Aadavallu Meeku Joharlu. This family entertainer with a huge supporting cast of terrific actors promises to give the audience complete fun along with a dose of family drama. But, does it have enough to give Sharwanand his much-awaited hit? Lets find out
Story: Chiru (Sharwanand) is a happy-go-lucky young man looking to get married. However, all his marriage attempts are thwarted by the good-intentioned women of his family, who always find some or the other fault in the prospective brides. Just when he has lost all his hopes, he meets Aadhya (Rashmika Mandanna). Both Chiru and Aadhya hit it off quite well. While Chiru is in love, Aadhya just has admiration for the former. What is her reason behind it and how Chiru takes this challenge head-on is what the story is about?
Performances: Most of the plot of the movie was revealed in the trailer itself hence the audience knew what to expect. It was totally up to Sharwanand, Rashmika, and others to hold the viewer’s interest which they have failed. Sharwanand looks quite bloated and needs to focus on his looks as that was a major distracting factor. While he tries to save this wafer-thin plot, his portrayal of a man torn between a rock and a hard place looks unconvincing. Rashmika looks terrific on-screen and Aadhya’s character is right up her alley. She does a good job of whatever is handed to her but half-baked writing overshadows most of her portrayal. Other cast members like Radhika, Khushboo, Urvashi have played similar roles for the last many years and can cakewalk through such characters. While casting them was a great idea, it would have been better if such accomplished actors were given a motive for their characters behaving in a certain way.
Analysis: Aadavallu Meeku Joharlu has quite a promising plot. The film portrays a lot of real-life challenges faced by families in a humorous and accurate way. The film starts on a positive note and the comedy and relatable family scenes give the audience an impression of a complete entertainer. However, the second half and its unconvincing emotional moments play a spoilsport. The characters are written in a hurry and there is no solid background given for why Khushboo, Radhika, and Rashmika behave in a certain way. Illogical character arcs leading to an unconvincing redemption are a major minus.

Verdict: Aadavallu Meeku Joharlu starts with extremely positive vibes and holds the viewers’ interest in the initial parts. As the core conflict starts, you may feel disconnected and even clueless as the writing has not immersed you completely in the proceedings. One would expect a Kishore Tirumala film to pack emotions and fun quite tightly like ‘Nenu Sailaja’ or ‘Chitralahari’. However, that is not the case here and the film takes your expectations high and fails to deliver towards the end.
