Ravi Teja’s Vikramarkudu is a movie that needs no introduction for Tollywood fans. This SS Rajamouli project had all the mass elements packed with powerful emotions and strong performances that made it a memorable as well as a superhit project. Vijayendra Prasad’s powerful story, Rajamouli’s excellent direction, and Ravi Teja’s intense performance has made the movie a Tollywood favourite for many fans.

Post Vikramarkudu, Rajamouli went on to make many path-breaking and visual wonders like Magadheera, Eega, and Baahubali series. Despite multiple blockbusters and Industry Hits by the ace director, this Ravi Teja- Anushka starrer has a separate place in Rajamouli’s filmography and fans’ minds.

And now writer Vijayendra Prasad has given a massive boost by confirming a sequel to this film. Speaking at a recent interview, the senior writer confirmed that he is writing a sequel for Vikramarkudu 2 in both Hindi and Telugu. The Hindi rights are with Sanjay Leela Bhansali who remade Vikramarkudu as Rowdy Rathore with Akshay Kumar.

The Telugu version will be produced by Radha Mohan. Vijayendra Prasad also stated that Rajamouli will not direct this sequel and that they will go for other director. The rest of the cast and crew details will be out in due course of time.

Rocking Star Yash’s KGF 2 is all set for a grand release on April 14th. The makers are planning the release on a massive scale and the promotions will be equally grand. Hombale Films have stated that they are planning a release on a whopping 6000 screens on opening day just in India.

This is undoubtedly going to be one of the grandest ever Kannada film releases and with Vijay’s Beast releasing on the same day, it is definitely going to be an incredible feat. The much-awaited KGF 2 trailer launch will take place on March 27th in Bangalore.

“The trailer is going to be our biggest event where people from across the industries will be attending. We are in talks with a big Bollywood personality to host the event,” said Vijay Kiragandur, the producer of the film.

The hype around KGF 2 is surreal and the fans are eager to catch the mass actions scenes featuring Rocky Bhai. The teaser that released early last year already gave fas what to expect. The teaser’s response was amazing and it went viral immediately and has registered 245 million views so far.

Raveena Tandon, Sanjay Dutt, Anant Nag, Prakash Raj, and Srinidhi Shetty among others. Prashant Neel is the director of the movie and Hombale Films have produced the movie. Ravi Basrur is the music director of the film. The film is scheduled for a grand release on April 14th in theatres.

It is of common knowledge now that makers are releasing lyrical videos of songs from the movie as a part of promotional content for the film. Similarly, the makers of Sarkaru Vaari Paata and the makers of Beast released Kalavathi and Arabic Kuthu respectively.

Both the songs shattered many records, becoming chartbusters in their respective languages. Kalavathi broke the record for highest views in 24 hours, which was then immediately broken by Arabic Kuthu the following day.

As of now, Kalavathi has crossed 100M+ views and Arabic Kuthu has crossed a whopping 200M+ views. The craze for the album and the movie has increased tenfolds because of the first singles.

To carry on with the trend, the makers released the second single titled Jolly O Gymkhana from Beast and Penny from Sarkaru Vaari Paata but it has not worked out like the previous singles. Both Jolly O Gymkhana and Penny have not managed to garner the craze that the first singles managed to generate.

Arabic Kuthu had crossed 35M+ views in 3 days itself but the latest single has not even crossed 25M views. The same goes with Penny. Thaman S has composed the music for Penny whereas Anirudh has composed the music for Beast.

After the euphoria and excitement that Bahubali Chapter 1 created, if any film has come close to recreating that, it is undoubtedly KGF Chapter 1. It became the highest-grossing Kannada film of all time and went on to shatter multiple records.

RRR Movie Kannada Distributor Official Statement About Kannada Release Issues

For the past few days, there has been an active uproar from the people of Karnataka regarding the release of RRR. Many people complained that there have been no provisions made for the release of the Kannada version of RRR in the state, especially in Bangalore.

The local distributors KVN Productions have allocated the majority of the screens for the Telugu version of the film. This decision has upset many fans in Karnataka who want to witness the magnum opus in their own language.

In response to the outrage, KVN Productions has come forward with a statement regarding the same. This is what they had to say “The lead actors have spent a lot of time and effort in learning the Kannada language and we understand that you want to witness the magnum opus in the Kannada language.”

They further added “We are doing our best to convince the theatre owners who are reluctant to screen the Kannada version on the big screens. We will do everything we can to bring as many Kannada version shows as possible. We request you to show support by watching the Kannada shows and help us get more screens.”

RRR is hitting the screens on 25th March amidst never before seen hype and excitement. It stars Ram Charan, JR.NTR, Alia Bhatt, and Ajay Devgn in important roles. SS Rajamouli is the director of the film. DVV Danayya has produced the film under DVV Entertainments. MM Keeravani is the music director of the film.

Bheemla Nayak makers canceled Hindi release plans ?

Pawan Kalyan’s Bheemla Nayak released amidst massive anticipation and fans’ excitement on February 25th. Staying true to the buzz, this action entertainer had a solid opening and an excellent first weekend. However, from here, it was all a downfall and the film saw massive drops across territories.

Initially, the makers had plans of releasing the Hindi version simultaneously with the other versions. This plan later got changed and makers decided to push the Hindi release and even came up with a release trailer. Suddenly, the release got further pushed to April. And now as per reports, the makers have dropped the plan of a Hindi release altogether.

This is mainly due to the Radhe Shyam disaster and the lackluster bookings that RRR is seeing now. The Bheemla Nayak makers have decided to drop the idea permanently.

Now, the performance of RRR is going to be quite crucial for upcoming films like Acharya. The makers of Acharya will be keenly following the Hindi market’s response. If RRR exceeds expectations and does a mammoth business up north, then even this Chiranjeevi starrer will go for a simultaneous Hindi release. All in all, the pan- India bubble is slowly bursting and with every passing movie, the makers are getting more cautious.

Bahubali 2 directed by SS Rajamouli was a nation wide sensation. It’s prequel Bahubali 1, made as a regional film broke many barriers and emerged as a nationwide blockbuster. The fame it brought to the cast and Rajamouli was huge. Prabhas became a Pan-Indian star with this fame even. Carrying this fame, Bahubali 2 released amidst great hype all over the country. It became an industry hit in all states of India except Kerala where it stood on Top 2.

When the advance bookings of Bahubali 2 were opened, all the tickets got sold out like hot cakes in all languages. But this is not happening now with RRR. Other than Telugu, no other language advance bookings match Bahubali 2. This proves the magic of Bahubali 2 which can’t be repeated by any other film even by Rajamouli himself. Bahubali appealed to all kinds of audience with it’s king story backdrop and large VFX setup. But RRR doesn’t have such things.

NTR and Ram Charan are not known to other states’ audiences which is also a drawback. In terms of publicity and promotions, RRR is also ahead of Bahubai 2 but the amount of hype it generated is not half of Bahubali 2. This proves that no film can match the legendary Bahubali 2.

Three big star films, Pushpa, Bheemla Nayak and Radhe Shyam released after Covid 3rd wave. These films even postponed their films many times to avoid the 50% seating and no second shows restrictions. However these films released amidst huge hype after postponements achieved mixed talks. No film achieved breakeven mark even in AP/TS.

Allu Arjun’s Pushpa released on 17 December last year. This film received a divide talk. This film was promoted as a Pan-Indian film too. But it ended up getting an average status. The film however received popularity throughout the country with it’s songs and mannerisms. Bheemla Nayak released on Feb 25 this year. This film too managed to get only an average status. Radhe Shyam which was promoted and released as a Pan-Indian film achieved a mixed talk and now ended up as a disaster for Prabhas.

RRR is slated for release this week on March 25. This will be also a star studded film with Jr.NTR and Ram Charan doing a multi-starrer. This film is also promoted as a Pan-Indian film by the team. The advance bookings of Telugu look good but other languages bookings are not up to the mark. We have to see how RRR fares.

RRR crosses the epic Baahubali 2 premiers in USA

RRR mania is taking over the world and movie lovers are eagerly waiting for this much-awaited action spectacle. Fans are dying to see how Rajamouli has utilized Tarak and Charan together on screen. Billed as the biggest multistarrer of recent times, the movie’s advance bookings and premiers are in a much bigger range than Baahubali 2.

RRR’s US premieres collections have crossed that of Baahubali 2 and are on course for massive US collections. While the Prabhas starrer had collected a whopping $2.5 million from its US premieres, RRR has crossed this number with pre-sales itself and is heading towards $3 Million premiers.

The film is packed with grand action sequences, emotions and features two of the biggest Tollywood stars in it. With a runtime in excess of 3 hours it is the lengthiest film of Rajamouli’s career. While the runtime is slightly long, the makers have complete faith in Rajamouli and his vision.

RRR will release on 25th March and is expected to shatter many records on the opening days. The theatrical business is around Rs 500 crores and the Rajamouli is expecting to hit the Rs 1000 crore mark.

The trio of Rajamouli, Jr NTR, and Ram Charan are busy with the promotions and back-to-back interviews and events. The movie has done a record pre-release business and trade circles are expecting a massive opening across the territories.
