Mass director in talks with Venkatesh for a film

Venkatesh is a busy man these days with a series of movies and OTT shows lined up next. The pandemic also failed to slow down ‘Venky Mama’ and he came with two releases last year in Narappa and Drushyam 2 and received critical acclaim for both.

At the moment, the senior actor is getting ready for his next film F3, a sequel of his successful comedy entertainer with Varun Tej. Anil Ravipudi will direct this film as well and it will co-star Tamannah and Mehreen this time as well. Dil Raju is bankrolling this project under Sri Venkateswara Creations and Devi Sri Prasad will compose the tunes.

Now as per reports, Venkatesh is gearing up for another interesting project. He is reportedly collaborating with Sampath Nandi for a mass entertainer which will go on floors soon. There is also a strong buzz about Venkatesh working with Anudeep KV for a comedy entertainer. While it’s too soon to comment on Anudeep -Venkatesh’s film, the mass entertainer with Sampath Nandi is more likely to go on floors.

In addition to this, he will collaborate with Rana will be soon seen in a web series for Netflix. Titled RanaNaidu, the show is an adaptation of the American crime drama ‘Ray Donovan’.

Ever since the release of RRR on March 25th, the film has ruled the film markets not only in India but also in the worldwide markets, beating Batman’s collections as well. The film has stood victorious against all odds and come out on top.

Earlier this week, Ram Charan penned an emotional ‘Thank You’ note in view of the appreciation RRR is receiving from audiences across the world.

After Ram, the other ‘R’ of RRR, Jr.NTR has penned a ‘Thank You’ note, where he thanked Ram Charan, the cast and crew of RRR as well as his fans for the humungous success of the film.

He started with the man himself, Rajamouli, “Thank You Jakkana for inspiring me to give my best. You pushed me and brought out the best in me.”

“Charan, my brother, I cannot imagine acting in RRR without you. Not only RRR but Bheem is also incomplete without you.”

JR.NTR also thanked Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn, Olivia Morris for their performances in the film. Coming to the crew of the film, this is what he had to say, “My special thanks to Keeravani Garu for giving life to RRR. I am indebted to Vijayendra Prasad Garu for writing the best script in Indian cinema.”

“My special thanks to Swnthil, Sabu, and all the other technicians involved in RRR. Special thanks to Karthikeya for coordinating all aspects so smoothly” he also added.

This revenge drama opened well at box office and broke all the previous malayalam movies. This movie also features Anasuya Bharadwaj in a small role. Megastar Chiranjeevi and Harish Shankar joining for a remake film?

Looks like Megastar Chiranjeevi is lining up another remake to his filmography. As per reports, Megastar is interested in remaking Mohanlal’s recent Malayalam comedy-drama ‘Bro Daddy’. The film starred Prithviraj Sukumaran as well and was a massive success.

Bro Daddy was released directly on Disney + Hotstar and received wide critical acclaim. The film also starred Meena and Kalyani Priyadarshan in important roles.

Chiranjeevi reportedly is interested in handing over the project to Harish Shankar. He believes that the director can make apt changes to the script as per Telugu nativity.

At the moment, the ‘Acharya’ actor is already busy with another remake- Godfather. Interestingly, this film is also a remake of Mohanlal starrer Lucifer which was directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran. Apart from this, the Megastar is also remaking Ajith starrer Vedalam. This film is being made in Telugu as Bhola Shankar.

Overall, Megastar Chiranjeevi is standing firm on his strategy of going for remakes with smaller directors in order to complete more films in lesser time.

RRR Beats Baahubali 2 In Shares But Fails To Beat Gross Collections At Box Office On First Weekend

RRR was released on 25th March 2022 and has enjoyed one of the best opening weekends in the history of Indian cinema. RRR beat Rajamouli’s previous record-breaking Bahubali 2’s opening day collections by amassing a whopping 223 crores.

Since its opening day, the film has shown no signs of stopping and has continued to wreak havoc at the box office. The first weekend of the film has come to a halt and RRR stands victorious over Baahubali 2 in terms of share collections. Baahubali 2 collected 275 Cr+ shares on its 1st weekend whereas RRR has collected a mind-bending 285 Cr share.

However, Prabhas’ Baahubali 2 stands on top when it comes to gross collections. Baahubali 2 collected 510 crores on the opening weekend whereas RRR falls short at 495 crores.

But it is important to note that Baahubali being a sequel had a lot of hype and expectations surrounding it. RRR has achieved these humungous numbers even as a stand-alone film. Rajamouli has proved once again that he is made up of different materials.

RRR has taken a massive lead in Telugu but has fallen slightly behind in Hindi compared to Baahubali 2. Overall, RRR has had an extraordinary weekend which is on par with Baahubali 2. RRR definitely has the potential to continue to soar at the box office. It is to be seen whether it maintains the same pace or fizzles out.

The cute kannada girl Krithi Shetty had a dream debut in tollywood with Uppena. Immediately after Uppena’s grand success, the young actress bags projects with Nani and Naga Chaitanya. Though Shyam Singha Roy is not a commercial success, won some rewards from critics. Bangarraju is a commercial success at box office.

Krithi Shetty signed some more projects in telugu like Aa Ammai gurinchi meeku cheppali with sudheer babu and The Warrior with Ram. Ram’s The warrior is a bilingual movie and N. Varun Tej’s Next Film Launched; Cast And Crew Details

Varun Tej is currently on a break, with 2 films ready for release in theatres, the actor has already signed another project under the direction of PSV Garuda Vega fame Praveen Sattaru. The film has been officially launched today in the presence of Varun Tej’s father Nagababu, and mother, Padmaja.

Just like Praveen’s other films, this one is also likely to be an edge-of-the-seat thriller. As for the other actors in the film, there has been no substantial information. The makers will announce the remaining cast as well as the crew very soon as soon as the shooting starts.

The Director of Photography is Mukesh, Art Director is award-winning art designer, Avinash Kolla. Mickey J Meyer is the music director of the project. BVSN Prasad is the producer of the film.

It is refreshing to see a young actor like Varun Tej choose projects that are not out and out commercial entertainers. Even though the actor has tasted tremendous success with F2, he seems to be choosing interesting projects instead of commercial projects.
