Nikhil’s Karthikeya 2 is having a magical run at the box office. Ever since its release in theatres, it has been the talk of the town everywhere. While the success of the Telugu version is understandable, the massive success of the Hindi version is unbelievable.
Karthikeya 2 opened to a meager 7 Lakhs on Day 1. This was expected going by the trade reports and the promotions in the North belt. But, owing to the positive buzz around the film, the film jumped on day 2 to a promising 28 Lakhs.
It only got better from here with Day 3 posting 1.10 crores, followed by Day 4 with 1.28 crores. Normally, the collections drop as the days go by but Karthikeya 2 has achieved the exact opposite. With each passing day, the collections are only showing signs of an increase.
In fact, Day 5 also showed an increase with 1.38 crores, followed by Day 6 with 1.68 crores. In total, Karthikeya 2 stands at 5.75 crores nett collections after 6 days.
The Day 7 advance bookings are highly promising as well with the most number of pre-bookings compared to all the other days. Due to the Janmashtami festival and the Holiday advantage, Karthikeya 2 has put itself in the best possible situation. The film is expected to take a massive jump today and the second weekend is expected to achieve 4-5 times more than the first.
