Sai Dharam Tej to join hands with Sampath Nandi

After a brief hiatus, young Mega hero Sai Dharam Tej is all set to have a busy year. The ‘Republic’ actor recently resumed shooting of SDT 15 under Karthi Dondu’s direction. The film will be bankrolled by BVSN Prasad and Sukumar under Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra and Sukumar Writings.

Meanwhile, Sai Dharam Tej has signed another project with Sampath Nandi. The film unlike his last few outings will be an out-and-out commercial flick and will be bankrolled by Sithara Entertainments.

After his accident last year, the actor was away from the public eye and spent some months and him recuperating. The actor was given a warm welcome when he rejoined the sets of SDT 15 and the makers even released a special video.

The young actor’s last film Republic didn’t perform as per expectations and he is raring to score a hit this year. Republic was well appreciated by the critics and the actor’s performance and Deva Katta’s direction received applause. However, the film failed at the box office much to everyone’s disappointment.

This is why he is focussing more on mass entertainers and has joined hands with Sampath Nandi who is known to handle commercial subjects well. This will be the first time the actor and director will collaborate.

Vijay’s next film launched officially and shoot begins

Vijay’s next film, tentatively titled #Thalapathy66 has officially been launched yesterday and the shoot for the same also began officially. Vijay for the first time is making his debut in Telugu with this project. This will also be made in Tamil. Vamshi Paidipally is the director and Dil Raju is producing the film under his banner. The film is made on Pan-Indian level. Rashmika Mandanna is also playing the female lead in the film.

The pooja for the film was done yesterday. The film’s cast and crew were present in the event. Vijay too was present for the event which is quite interesting. SS Thaman is also confirmed to be the music director for the film making his first collaboration with Vijay. Actor, Sharath Kumar was also present indicating his involvement in the film.

On the other hand, Vijay’s current film, Beast is arriving on April 13. Beast is also set to clash with the mighty, KGF Chapter 2 which is releasing on April 14. Beast created a sensation on YouTube by getting 30 Million + views in 24 hours. Beast songs, Arabic Kuthu and Jolly o Gymkhana received great views on YouTube. Anirudh scored the music for Beast.

KGF, a Kannada film directed by Prashanth Neel created sensation across the country with it’s large scale action and stunts. Its sequel KGF chapter 2 is about to release next week on April 14 to much hype. The sensation created by its prequel is nothing short of a wonder. KGF got owned by all throughout the country. Now what is more surprising is that there is another sequel, KGF Chapter 3 on cards.

Started as a regional film, KGF with its trailer promised big action drama and lived up to its hype. It created a massive fandom for itself with its backdrop. The trailer too created same sensation by garnering a staggering 109 Million+ views in 24 hours in all the languages. This shows the kind of hype the film is carrying. Now, with the news of another sequel on cards, it is getting even bigger. The details of this project are not yet known. But according to the sources, Director Prashanth Neel has also zeroed the script for the film.

‘RRR’ Review: A Hero (or two) shall rise posted by The New York Times is the new talk of the town in the film industry. It is considered to be prestigious to be picked by the NYTimes for an Indian Movie. RRR deserves the credit and fans are very elated on this achievement. Nicolas Rapold of The New York Times reviewed RRR as “Scenes of glorious excess make the screen hum with energy in S.S. Rajamouli’s action epic set in British colonial India”.

Nicolas Rapold termed NTR and Ram Charan as the country’s biggest stars. The fans of the stars are extremely happy for the review. Even the PR team of RRR in twitter shared their happiness and conveyed their wishes for The New York Times for presenting RRR’s review in Critic’s pick. After mentioning the heroes and heroic stories of Ram and Bheem, Nicolas added few words about director. He says “Rajamouli shoots the film’s action with hallucinogenic fervor, supercharging scenes with a shimmering brand of extended slow-motion and C.G.I. that feels less “generated” than unleashed”. It is glad to hear positive review from one of the leading magazines of the USA.

Naga Chaitanya’s next film officially announced

Here’s some good news for Naga Chaitanya fans. The ‘Love Story’ actor is on a signing spree and 2022 is going to be the busiest year for the actor. The actor already had a release in form of ‘Bangarraju’ earlier this year.

Along with that, he will be seen in Vikram Kumar’s Thank You and his Bollywood debut ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’ later this year. Naga Chaitanya will also mark 2022 with his OTT debut with ‘Dootha‘ which is horror thriller. The shoot of this web series started recently and it will be again directed by Vikram Kumar.

Amidst these exciting projects, his next project with Tamil director Venkat Prabhu has been officially launched. The film will be a bilingual one and will release in Tamil and Telugu. Srinivasa Chitturi will produce NC22 under the Sreenivasa Silver Screen banner and will go on floors soon.

Venkat Prabhu is riding high on the success of his last film ‘ Maanadu’. The 2021 film ended up being a blockbuster and brought much-needed success to Simbu and the director himself. Similarly, Naga Chaitanya is on a hit streak with ‘Love Story’ and ‘Bangarraju’ doing well at the box office.

Samantha’s pan India movie ‘Yashoda’ gets a release date

After a small break from the big screen, Samantha is all set to make a comeback with two big movies this year. She has already wrapped up shooting for Gunashekhar’s Shaakuntalam where she will play the titular role. Apart from that, she will be seen in a pan-India project ‘Yashoda’ under Sreedevi Movie’s banner. 

Yashoda will release on August 12th and the makers are leaving no expense to ensure the film looks grand. The producers have erected a massive seven-star hotel set worth a whopping Rs 3 crores for a special schedule of the film. Sridevi Movies announced the release date on social media yesterday.

Initially, they scouted few-star hotels for the location. However, none of these hotels were practical for 30-40 days of the shoot. Hence acclaimed art director Ashok made a set of the hotel in the Ramanaidu Studios for the film.

Director duo Hari and Harish are handling the project which will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada. Varalakshmi Sarathkumar and Unni Mukunadan will also be seen alongside Samantha in Yashoda.

The film is a science fiction thriller and the makers claimed that it’s a new age thriller that will surely give thrills and chills to everyone.

South India’s most happening actress Rashmika Mandanna and SS Thaman are on board for the next film of Vijay and Vamshi Paidipally under Dil Raju production. The film touted to be a Telugu-Tamil bilingual is under pre-production works. Lead actress and other crew are not confirmed earlier. But it was announced yesterday. Rashmika Mandanna will play the female lead for the first time opposite Vijay. This is also Thaman’s first collaboration with Vijay.

Vijay who tasted success with his earlier blockbuster Master is currently doing Beast under the direction of Nelson. The film’s trailer has already been released and it created a massive sensation on YouTube with 30 Million Views in 24 hours. Vijay has okayed a film with Dil Raju under the direction of Vamshi Paidipally prior to the film’s release. This film is tentatively titled #Thalapathy66. This film will officially be the debut of Vijay in Telugu.

Details of this film are not yet known. Dil Raju is taking lot of care for this project. This will also be their first bi-lingual film. On the other hand, Beast is about to release on 13 April, a day before the release of KGF 2. It has to be seen how Beast fares facing KGF 2.

Thalapathy Vijay’s much awaited film Beast is slated to release in theatres on 13th April. Nelson Dilip Kumar is directing the star hero for the first time. In a recent interview, director Nelson revealed that Vijay is playing the role of a raw intelligence officer in the movie. According to the director, it is a complete entertainer that will have some high voltage action sequences. He said that he don’t want to miss his signature style of having humour. In the interview, Nelson Dilipkumar confirmed that Thalapathy Vijay will be seen in a fresh avatar in Beast.

The talented director told that “I wrote Beast keeping Thalapathy in mind. If he said No, I would not have done the movie with other Actors”. He also said that working with Vijay is like a dream come true moment for him. Beast has Pooja Hegde appearing as the female lead. Actor-director Selvaraghavan plays the lead antagonist. Anirudh Ravichander composes the music while Manoj Paramahamsa is the DOP. Let’s wait to witness the biggest action thriller.
