Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Acharya is all set to release on April 29th. Koratala Siva, Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan are busy with promotional interviews. During these interviews, the trio is sharing some interesting behind-the-scenes snippets about the movie along with info on their upcoming projects.

However, one particular comment from Ram Charan has caught the attention of netizens with many finding it hilarious. Charan, who is playing the character ‘Sidddha’ in the film made a comment on Megastar Chiranjeevi’s comment which has brought him great ridicule.

He said that him and Megastar didn’t charge a single rupee as remuneration for the project. The Mega Power Star tried projecting this fact as a token of their love for cinema and respect for Koratala. However, the netizens would have none of these statements and were quick to point out that ‘Acharya’ is a home production for the Konidela Family.

Konidela Productions is bankrolling the project and Charan himself is the producer for the film. Everyone knows when the Heros’ own production banner gets involved in the projects, the actors don’t take remuneration. They will instead take shares of the business. Konidela Productions will get the share of the Acharya business which is nothing but the remuneration.

This time he is trying his luck with Megastar Chiranjeevi and Mega Powerstar Ram charan. Acharya is gearing up for release on 29th April. So the team is busy in promotions. Koratala Siva and NTR are joining hands together for the second time. NTR 30 will be their second collaboration after Janata Garage. The duo now are coming with an action entertainer. Talking about the film Koratala Siva said that NTR 30 will be high on emotional note. Koratala denies the rumours of film being set in political backdrop genre.

Koratala Siva and Mahesh Babu combination has given two memorable films to the industry. Both Srimanthudu and Bharat Ane Nenu turned out to be massive successes and established Koratala Siva as one of the A-list directors that he is today.

Now according to the reports, Koratala Siva and Mahesh Babu are planning to get back for the third time. The ‘Acharya’ director has already discussed the project with the Superstar and the latter has responded positively to this concept.

Incidentally, Mahesh is also giving a voice-over for the director’s upcoming project ‘Acharya’. The Superstar will introduce ‘Padaghattam’ an imaginary town that is the backdrop of the film to the audience.

After Acharya, Koratala will get busy with NTR30 while Mahesh will be occupied with the Rajamouli project after Sarkaru Vaari Paata release. Hence, this project might go on floors only after the much-awaited Rajamouli-Mahesh combo.

Mahesh’s Sarkaru Vaari Paata is slated to release next month on the 12th and he is completely focused on it. Parasuram is directing this action entertainer which co-stars Keerthy Suresh and is bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers.

Yash’s pan-India action thriller KGF2 has now achieved another massive milestone. The film, that released earlier this month on 14th April has now entered the elite Rs 300 crore club in Hindi. Only 10 films so far have achieved this feat and KGF2 is the first Kannada origin movie to do so. Here’s a detailed year-wise break-up for the 300 crore club.

The film had an extraordinary 1st week at the box office and collected an overall share of 352.5Crs which is all-time 2nd highest 1st-week film only next to mighty Baahubali2. All versions of theatrical rights are valued at 350Crs and the film has managed to cross the Breakeven in just 7 Days.

The second week also started on a good note and it needs to be seen how the film fares at the end of this week. Prashant Neel has directed this action thriller and it stars Sanjay Dutt and Raveena Tandon in key roles alongside Yash.

It looks like Kajal’s role has been completely trimmed in Acharya. Teaser and Trailer of the film had no appearance of Kajal in them which is shocking. Kajal who happened to star opposite the lead actor in the film, Chiranjeevi is completely sidelined. No coverage was given to her. Pooja Hegde who starred opposite Ram Charan was given scope.

Makers of Acharya have roped in Kajal Aggarwal for lead heroine opposite Chiranjeevi. She even participated in the shoot and completed her part. Due to her pregnancy schedules, she was unable to take part in the film’s promotions. There were rumours about her role being trimmed but now it looks like her role is completely trimmed in the film. No one has mentioned about Kajal’s role in the film or in the pre-release event yesterday. There is no Kajal in any promotional content of Acharya after Laahe Laahe song promo in which she appeared. There was not even a tweet from Kajal about Acharya even during or after the Pre-release event.

The promo video song of Laahe Laahe which released yesterday only had Sangeetha but no Kajal. This is much shocking. We have to wait and see what happened to her role only after the film’s release.

Acharya is one of the most awaited and biggest projects in the recent times. It has also become popular for having Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan playing important roles as a Multi-starrer. The film is directed by Koratala Shiva, who had tasted success with all the films he directed. All these added up to the film’s hype. But the Poor advance bookings for this Mega Multi-starrer film, Acharya is shocking.

With the success of RRR, the trade expectations on the film are so high. But the overseas advance bookings are poor. In US, ther pre-sales have crossed $200K. Bheemla Nayak and Radhe Shyam have more than $300K pre-sales. This is very shocking. The film’s release has been postponed many times due to the pandemic, Corona virus. This delayed the film’s release and promotional activity. The film’s teaser and trailer and the promo songs are all released. There is nothing to release from the movie. But all these didn’t add the hype that was expected by the team. The film needs a big jump on next days for good openings in the overseas.

Songs of the film have not registered well with the audiences. The much hyped multi-starrer song, Bhale Bhale Banjara too didn’t struck well and ended up as a normal song. The theatrical business is valued at 133 crores worldwide.

Sarkaru Vaari Paata pre release event details

Superstar Mahesh Babu’s Sarkaru Vaari Paata is one the most awaited Tollywood releases. The movie is a special one as Mahesh will be seen on the big screen after more than two years. His last release was Sarileru Neekevvaru back in January 2020.

Coming to Sarkaru Vaari Paata, the movie unit has so far released three songs from the movie- Kalaavathi, Penny, and the SVP title song. While Kalaavathi received a massive response and is on its way to 150 million-plus views, the other two songs couldn’t match this success.

Two more songs will be released soon and the promotions will be on in full swing in the coming days. Sarkaru Vaari Paata pre-release event is being planned for 7th May and the movie is slated for a grand release on 12th May.

Mega Power Star Ram Charan is riding on a career-high after the massive success of RRR. He received widespread accolades for his performance in the SS Rajamouli project. Currently, Charan is busy with Acharya promotions in which he will be seen in a crucial role of ‘Siddha’.

Mohanlal’s another film direct release on OTT

Malayalam superstar Mohanlal is on a success spree. In the lockdown, Telugu people watched lot of Malayalam movies especially Mohanlal’s. The actor focused on content based movies and that made him reach every corner. His next film is also slated for direct OTT release.

Mohanlal is coming with a thriller under Jeethu Joseph. The actor director duo gave super hits Drishyam and Drishyam 2. 

Now they are coming with another thriller titled 12th Man. The film’s shoot is wrapped up in October and is all set to release soon.

Mohanlal in his social media announced that the film will skip theatrical release. The film will stream directly on the OTT platform, Disney+Hotstar. However, the official date is not yet revealed.

In an interview, Jeethu Joseph said that “12th Man is a very different movie and not like Drishyam. It’s a mystery movie, set inside a resort. The mystery reveals with events that takes place around the lives of those twelve people within a span of 24 hours”. Let’s wait and watch the blockbuster duo had in store for us.
