Acharya starring Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan opened to disastrous talk and is heading towards the biggest ever disaster in recent times. Acharya directed by Koratala Shiva, had no initial buzz but many expected the film to do good with the film being a Mega multistarrer. The film however disappointed all big time. Losses stand at 50% or more than in almost all the centers.

The film has seen huge drops on Day 2. It has earned a single digit share on its Day 2 with the share being close to 4.7 crores which is very very shocking for a Mega multi-starrer film. The film is also on its way to make an 80 cr loss. The theatrical values of the film are at 133 crores worldwide. Now this came as a major shocker for Chiranjeevi who now wants to release his upcoming Godfather immediately.

Normally when a hero scores a disaster, they will take to come out of it and take some gap. But Chiranjeevi is planning to release his next film, Godfather immediately it seems. He wants to release Godfather in the second week of August. Apart from Acharya, his upcoming films Godfather and Bholaa Shankar are remakes of Luficer and Vedhalam. It has to be seen how this would fare.

There is a sentiment for S.S. Rajamouli’s heroes’ next films. Heroes starring in S.S. Rajamouli’s films face a big debacle after working with him. This sentiment continued for almost all the heroes of his films. This sentiment became a much talked one in recent times with Ram Charan working in his RRR film. Ram Charan also starred in Acharya which was about to release after RRR. Everyone thought Ram Charan would break this sentiment as they had hopes on Acharya being a mega Multi-starrer. But Acharya achieved a poor negative talk and is heading towards one of the biggest disasters ever.

As said, almost all the heroes of S.S. Rajamouli suffered with flops and disasters after working with him. Be it Jr. NTR with Andhrawala, Prabhas with Pournami, Ravi Teja with Khatarnak, Jr. NTR again with Kantri, Ram Charan with Orange, Prabhas with Saaho. Everyone felt Ram Charan might get away with this sentiment with Acharya being directed by one of the top directors, Koratala Shiva. But he has eventually failed in breaking the sentiment. Chiranjeevi, lead hero of Acharya even talked about this sentiment in Acharya pre-release event and said he doesn’t believe in such sentiments.

Now, all eyes are on Jr. NTR who is working with Koratala Shiva’s for his next #NTR30. Jr. NTR is also one of the lead heroes of RRR. We have to wait and see what happens to Jr. NTR’s upcoming film.

Hero Gopichand is looking to score a solid hit. The hero who gave decent hits got few flops that are forgettable. So he is trying to get back to his prime form with his upcoming films. Gopichand is working on two films now. One is titled Pakka commercial under Maruthi’s direction. And the other one is under Sriwass direction.

Gopichand and Sriwass are joining hands together for the third time now for Gopichand 30. The duo came up with Lakshyam and Loukyam before. Lakshyam was a commercial success that got critically acclaimed. So now it is heard that Gopichand 30 will be on the line similar to Lakshyam. The film may be titled as Lakshyam 2. The film’s shoot is in full swing in the beautiful locations of Mysore.

Gopichand got injured while filming an action sequence. The hero fell down from a top point as his leg was slipped. However, director Sriwass clarified that Gopichand did not suffer any serious injuries but a minor injury to his leg. The makers will resume shoot once Gopichand is relieved of the pain he is suffering from his leg injury. The film features Gopichand romancing Dimple Hayathi while Jagapathi Babu and Khushboo are playing important roles in the film.

Sensational KGF2 joins the elite 1000Cr club at Box-office

The victory run of KGF2 doesn’t appear to stop any time soon. The film is breaking one record after another and is setting the box office on fire. The film has already hit the Rs 350 crore mark in Hindi and is well on its way to Rs 400 crores as well.

Now KGF2 has created another big sensation which only 3 Indian films have done so far. It has crossed the Rs 1000 crores benchmark at the box office. Only Bahubali 2, Dangal, and RRR have achieved this so far and it is indeed a massive moment for the entire team.

1000Cr is a huge benchmark for any film. Baahubali2 was the first film to cross this mark back in 2017. Later with an unprecedented China release, Dangal also hit this milestone. The failure of Acharya has not just come as a massive shock for Mega fans but also to Nizam distributor Warangala Srinu. He placed high hopes on this project and shelled out a massive amount for acquiring the Nizam rights of Acharya.

However, much to his horror, the film is now headed towards being the biggest Tollywood disaster. In fact, the way he acquired this film’s rights is also full of drama in itself. Dil Raju had acquired Acharya Nizam rights initially. The ace producer and distributor even paid the advance for the film. But Warangal Srinu later met Koratala Siva and offered a huge amount of Rs 40 crores to outdo Dil Raju.

After going through so much hassle to get the theatrical rights for Acharya, Srinu expected this action entertainer to get off to a record opening. Much to his dismay, Acharya is performing poorly not just in Nizam but in every single region.

Megastar Chiranjeevi and Mega Power Star Ram Charan’s Acharya has taken a severe beating at the box office. The film released on 29th April amidst mostly negative reviews and extremely low buzz. Even on the first day, Acharya saw terrible occupancies and it noticed severe drops on the second day.

However, it’s not the film’s performance, but Ram Charan’s hypocrisy that has made many of his own fans quite unhappy. During Sye Ra Narasimha Reddy promotions, Charan had pointed out that he is against production houses displaying box-office collection posters. He argued that most of these posters are often inflating numbers leading to unnecessary discussions on the film and its stars.

Ram Charan assured that from now onwards, all the films in his Konidela Productions and even those in which he features will not carry these collection posters.

Now his own production house announced the Acharya Day1 numbers. Even fans are not happy with these double standards. What’s even worse is that the numbers are also not genuine and are inflated and is attracting unnecessary negative publicity.

But going by the reviews for the film, it looks like Acharya’s woes are still not over. The opening day talk for the film was unanimously negative with little to no positive reviews for the film. This led to a poor opening day collection at the box office.

After a low opening day, Acharya collapsed on day 2, with disastrous collections. Huge losses are expected in major territories with an estimated 50% loss for all the parties involved. The pre-release business of the film has been done for 133 crores.

The trade experts are expecting a closing share of fewer than 60 crores. These stats speak volumes about how disastrous Acharya is turning out to be. Acharya will undoubtedly be a stain on Koratala Siva’s otherwise clean track record. One can only hope that his next venture with NTR turns out better.

Acharya starring Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan has released yesterday on April 29. The film has opened to a negative talk and achieved a poor mouth talk right from the first show. The collections are also not up to the mark across many centers but the mega fake collections for Acharya is shocking entire trade and audience.

At one time, MG’s (Minimum Guarantees) have been added for all movies going by the competition for the records but post corona wave, everyone has stopped adding the MG’s for the numbers. Lot of biggies have released in recent times and no one has added MG’s or fake collections. Acharya released now and as said opened with disastrous collections but the numbers are more than double of recent biggies. Trade and audience are shocked after seeing the numbers as everyone is pointing out what is the need of faking collections for a disaster movie.

On the other hand, the film has witnessed huge drops on Day 2 and some theatres are even replacing the film with KGF Chapter 2. This is not expected from a film which stars both Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan as a multi-starrer. The film has collected 31 crores share on Day 1 worldwide.
