When RC16 was first announced, fans of Ram Charan and movie lovers were ecstatic. Ram Charan was at the peak of his acting career fresh off of the success of Rangasthalam and was shooting for Rajamouli’s RRR.
RC16 was touted to be a sports drama directed by Jersey fame director Goutam Tinnanuri. Ram Charan okayed the project with Goutam based on his debut film Jersey. Ram Charan also looked in great shape and was fit to play the role of a sportsperson. But slowly, the news around RC16 kept getting quieter and quieter and rumors about the film being shelved started to surface.
However, these rumors were immediately dismissed by director Goutam Tinnanuri, who said that the movie would go on set once Ram Charan was available. But after that, Ram Charan became busy with the shoot of RC15, and the rumors grew louder.
Now, the rumors have become reality. Ram Charan’s movie with Goutam Tinnanuri has been officially canceled. The actor is now hearing scripts from other directors and an official announcement about his next project is expected soon. Ram Charan seems to have changed his mind after the failure of Goutam Tinnanuri’s Hindi remake of Jersey which tanked at the box office.
