Before the release of Liger, Vijay had already signed another project with Puri Jagan. Every director has their dream project that they want to bring to the big screens. For example, Rajamouli wants to do an adaptation of the Mahabharat. Similarly, Puri has always wanted to do Jana Gana Mana, a war film.
Years ago, he was supposed to do Jana Gana Mana with Mahesh Babu but due to various reasons, it never materialized. Many years later, during the promotions phase of Liger, Vijay has signed Jana Gana Mana with Puri.
But after watching Liger and the response to Puri’s film, Vijay is regretting his decision big time. After the disastrous result of Liger, everything has changed. Vijay is no longer keen on working with Puri and wants to back out of the project.
Industry circles are saying that the movie is now shelved as Vijay is no longer in the mood to work with Puri. If this news is true then these are really tough times for Puri Jagan. Vijay will still be on the safe side as he has multiple projects lined up. He will be awaiting the release of his film with Shiva Nirvana titled Kushi. After that, he is collaborating with Sukumar on a movie.
