Venkatesh joins the double-digit opening day club in Telugu states

Venkatesh’s F3 is going great at box office and despite the mixed reviews, it has succeeded in attracting the audience. With F3, the senior star has now entered the double-digit opening day club of Tollywood. This Venkatesh and Varun Tej starrer has collected in excess of Rs 10 crores making it the highest opener of the actor’s career.

F3 is a sequel to Anil Ravipudi’s 2019 superhit F2. The comedy entertainer will see Mehreen and Tamannah returning to their roles. This time around there will be added dose of comedy with Sunil, Ali, and Murali Sharma also joining the cast.

Dil Raju’s Sri Venkateswara Creations is bankrolling this project while Devi Sri Prasad is composing music.

Mythri Movie Makers have revealed a fresh poster of Balakrishna from his upcoming project NBK107 being bankrolled in their banner. Balayya can be seen in a mass look in this poster holding a sword and needless to say, it has got netizens swooning. The first look was released earlier this year and featured the senior actor in a massy and rugged look.

Gopichand Malineni is directing this action drama that will feature Balakrishna in an out and out mass role. The film is going to be a perfect commercial entertainer. Gopichand has been doing a lot of research work for the script for the past few months as it is based on real-life incidents. The director has spent a large part of this year in libraries doing research.

Shruti Haasan will star opposite Balakrishna in this project. This will be her third film with the director after Balupu and Krack. Varalaxmi Sarathkumar will also star in this project which will be backed by Mythri Movie Makers.

There are rumours that NBK107 might be a remake of Kannada super hit ‘Mufti’ that released in 2017. The film featured Shivarajkumar as a gang lord and Murali as an undercover cop and was a massive success at the box office. However, no official statement has been made on the same and we need to wait for an official word.

Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan has been cleared of all charges due to lack of sufficient evidence in the drugs case for which he spent more than 20 days in custody last year. He was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) from a cruise ship off the Mumbai coast in October 2021 on the allegation of drug consumption.

Now, the NCB has concluded that they have no evidence against him. Yesterday, the head of NCB SN Pradhan said that there were lapses in the investigation, and the whole matter would be scrutinized further.

The Special Investigations Team (SIT) took over the case after allegations of corruption and false implication emerged against officers of the NCB, cited lapses in the investigation like no formal seizure of Khan’s phone, non-recovery of drugs from him, absence of a medical test to prove consumption. Aryan Khan has now got back his passport. He can travel abroad without any hassles

Nagarjuna signs a project with young Mass director

Nagarjuna after a series of experimental films and average fares at the box office has decided to change his route. He has decided to return to the mass commercial format and will reportedly work with Sampath Nandi for his upcoming project.

Sampath Nandi had earlier planned a movie with Balakrishna but it did not materialize. The mass director later met Nagarjuna and narrated the story and the latter was impressed with the narration. It is unclear whether this was the same subject that Balayya refused. The official announcement on the project is expected soon.

Nagarjuna is currently busy with the filming of his action thriller Ghost. Praveen Sattaru is directing this film and the first look that was released last year thrilled many.

The film was earlier planned with Kajal in the lead role opposite Nagarjuna. However, that has changed now and Sonal Chouhan will now play the female lead. Sunil Narang, Puskur Ram Mohan Rao, and Sharrath Marar are producing the film on Sree Venkateshwara Cinemas LLP and Northstar Entertainment Banners.

KGF 2 creates an all-time record ticket sales on Book My Show

Yash starrer KGF 2 is continuing is victory run at the box office smashing one record after another. After setting record collections in Telugu states as well as in the Hindi market, KGF 2 achieved another massive feat.

The film has now recorded 17.1 million tickets on just Book My Show. With these numbers, it has surpassed the previous record set by Baahubali 2. Another pan-India biggie RRR stands at 13.4 million tickets sold on Book My Show.

This Prashanth Neel project has created another big record which only 3 Indian films have done so far. It has crossed the Rs 1000 crores benchmark at the box office. Only Bahubali 2, Dangal, and RRR have achieved this so far and it is indeed a massive moment for the entire team.

Baahubali2 was the first film to cross this mark back in 2017. Later with an unprecedented China release, Dangal also hit this milestone. Last month, RRR also joined the Rs 1000 crore club and became only the third film to do so. And now with Yash’s KGF2 also hitting this landmark, it is indeed a proud moment for Kannada cinema.

It also became the first film to gross Rs 100 crores + in four languages. This Yash starrer has managed to hit the Rs 100 crore gross mark in Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi. No other film has ever done something like this.

Major the Film is releasing with lowest ticket prices

Adivi Sesh starrer Major is gearing up for its release on June 3rd. The film already had its premiere across 9 cities in India and was well appreciated by the audience.

The recently released trailer has further raised the expectations. The trailer featured some slick action sequences and had great technical values. Movie lovers all over India are waiting to catch this biopic of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan. This is why the makers planned a never-before-like premiere 10 days before the movie’s release.

Now Major team has taken another initiative to ensure the movie reaches the maximum number of people. In times when every movie is applying for massive ticket hikes, this movie will actually be much lighter on the audience’s pockets.

The ticket prices in Telugu states have been priced at the ‘lowest rate’ as compared to any film released post-pandemic. In Telangana, the ticket price has been set at Rs 150 and Rs 195 in single screen theatres and multiplexes respectively.

On the other hand, in Andhra Pradesh, Major’s ticket will cost Rs 147 in a single screen theatre, while it will cost Rs 177 at a multiplex.

Sashi Kiran Tikka has directed this multilingual film starring Adivi Sesh, Sobhita Dhulipala, Prakash Raj, Revathy in key roles. It is a pan-India project and will be released in Hindi, Telugu, and Malayalam.
