F3 is underperforming in overseas markets

Venkatesh and Varun Tej starrer F3 got off to an excellent start at the box-office on day 1 and the film continued to manage a decent run over the weekend. However, coming to the overseas market, the story seems to be quite opposite.

Usually, entertainers work well in overseas markets. Dookudu created many records in the oveseas market and the same trend was followed by entertainers like Pelli Choopulu, Geetha Govindam, Jaathi Ratnalu, and F2.

This is why heavy expectations were set on F3. But the collections are not up to the expectations. The film released with a long weekend advantage in the USA and positive early reports made everyone believe that the film had a great chance to collect $2.5 Million in the USA.

However, the current trends indicate tough days ahead for the film. Even $2 Million mark is looking quite tough to achieve. The film has crossed $1 Million mark on Monday and might halt in the coming days.

F3 is a sequel to Anil Ravipudi’s 2019 superhit F2. The comedy entertainer saw Mehreen and Tamannah returning to their roles. This time around there was an added dose of comedy with Sunil, Ali, and Murali Sharma also joining the cast.

Dil Raju’s Sri Venkateswara Creations bankrolled this project while Devi Sri Prasad composed this film’s music.

Jaathiratnalu director Anudeep’s next project release date is out

Anudeep KV, who delivered last year’s smash hit Jathi Ratnalu has now officially announced release date his next project. This film will be a bilingual Telugu-Tamil film and will star Sivakarthikeyan in lead. Billed to be a comedy entertainer, this film will release on 31st August 2022.

An announcement video was released early this year much to fans’ surprise. The video featured a pigeon flying from locations in London to Pondicherry, India. From the looks of it, Siva Karthikeyan will probably play a man who comes back from London to India.

Suresh Productions, SVCLLP, Puskur Ram Mohan Rao, and Shanti Talkies will produce the film while SS Thaman will compose music for this comedy entertainer.

SK 20 will also star Maria and Sathyaraj in key roles. Siva Karthikeyan is also riding on the success of DOCTOR and Don and has created a good base in Telugu states as well. It will be interesting to see how Anudeep follows up with his Jathiratnalu success.

Vikram advance bookings on fire, Kamal is back on the Boxoffice hunt

Kamal Haasan’s Vikram is just a few days away from its release and the hype is growing by every passing minute. The advance booking for this action thriller has been on fire and the legendary actor is surely on his way to record box-office openings.

 The booking for Vikram Tamil version is off to a sensational start in all territories. After Viswaroopam (Part1) Kamal Hassan movies have failed to evoke the interest that they used to in the past. However that all has changed with this Lokesh Kangaraj project. The movie generated a massive buzz with just a small teaser earlier last year and every subsequent promotional content from the movie has just gone on to heighten the audience’s interest.

The main reason for it is the stellar cast that includes Vijay Sethupathy and Fahadh Faasil along with the senior actor. The trailer that was released earlier this month gave fans a solid glimpse of what to expect.

Superstar Mahesh Babu and Trivikram’s upcoming project has got the whole industry eager in anticipation. The film will mark a comeback of this iconic director-actor combo after 12 long years.  This will be the third film for Mahesh Babu and Trivikram after Athadu and Khaleja. The makers of the film, Haarika and Haasine Creations announced this project last year much to the delight of fans.

Over the last few months, multiple rumours have come up regarding the star cast, which the makers have denied. And now, one more fresh report is doing rounds on social media.

There is news circulating on social media that Nandamuri Tarakaratna will be playing an antagonist in SSMB28. He previously played such a role in Ravibabu’s Amaravathi movie. However, as per our inside sources, this news is false and the makers have made no such decision.

The antagonist is yet to be finalized and this rumour has also been denied by Taraka Ratna on Facebook. Now we have to wait and see who Trivikram brings on board for this crazy project.

SSMB 28 will go on sets next month and the unit is looking to release this film on 6th January 2023. SS Thaman will compose the music for this massive project.

Pooja Hegde will be paired opposite Mahesh Babu while the rest of the cast details will be revealed soon. Of late, the ‘Ala Vaikunthapurramulo’ director has been mainly focussing on family entertainers. However, Mahesh has made it clear that the genre, as well as the treatment of the subject, must be different. Reportedly, the Super Star is not interested in a run-of-the-mill family entertainer.

Adivi Sesh starrer Major’s premieres have been a massive success and big crowd pullers. The recently released trailer has further raised the expectations on this biographical action drama. The trailer featured some slick action sequences and had great technical values. Movie lovers all over India are waiting to catch this biopic of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan. This is why the makers planned a never-before-like premiere 10 days before the movie’s release.

The trailer gave a good glimpse into the excellent technical values and the movie surely didn’t disappoint on that front. Cinematography as well as the slick action episodes were one of the highlights of the movie.

The story progresses without any lag and some pretty smart screenplay and writing by Adivi Sesh will surely grip the audience’s complete attention. While the young actor has had some impressive films in his career so far, Major is definitely the best in his filmography.

Sricharan Pakala’s RR also stood as one of the highlights of the film and elevated the viewing experience to a great level. This is definitely the best work of the composer’s career where he got a chance to showcase his immense talent.

While Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan’s ultimate sacrifice is a known tale to many. But the movie is much more than his career in the Army. The inspiration behind his decision to join the Indian Army, his ambitions, and his coming of age story were brilliantly captured.

Prakash Raj’s powerful performance and Ravathy’s terrific portrayal will truly stay with the audience even long after they step out of the theatres. Major is unlike any other biography and not even for a moment did it go into the preachy zone. Sashi Kiran Tikka ensured the flow of the movie was quite organic and it captured the true essence of who Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan was.

Adivi Sesh has delivered his career-best performance and the racy screenplay and perfect blend of emotions and action and all other elements make Major a terrific viewing experience.
