Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Godfather has completed its censor formalities and is all set for a release on 5th October. The festive release is going to be a good advantage for this Mohan Raja film which will also star Nayanthara in a key role and Salman Khan in an extended cameo.
While the film is nearing its release, a decision from Chiranjeevi has surprised everyone. As per the announcement made today, Godfather will be released in Malayalam as well. It is to be noted that this Chiranjeevi starter is a remake of the Malayalam blockbuster Lucifer which starred Mohanlal in the lead role. The film was directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran who also had a cameo in the film.
The decision to release a remake in its original language has certainly amused many. It now needs to be seen how the Malayalam audience responds to this highly commercialized version of Lucifer. The movie is carrying very positive buzz within the industry. Tollywood insiders are praising Mohan Raja for making the right changes to suit Telugu nativity.
