Critically acclaimed film Rocketry is now streaming on OTT

R Madhavan’s Rocketry is now streaming on OTT. The film was released in theatres worldwide on 1st July and received rave reviews. Madhavan’s performance as ISRO scientist Nambi Narayanan earned him great accolades.

Rocketry follows the journey of the senior scientist and the ups and downs of his life. Madhavan himself directed this project and he has been working quite hard on it for the last few years. He termed Rocketry as his dream project.

Nambi Narayanan was wrongly accused of espionage even after contributing immensely to Indian space research activities. It took him around two decades of enduring legal battle to prove his innocence. R Madhavan took this upon himself to tell this tragic story to the world

The biographical drama film is now streaming in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam on Amazon Prime Video. The film also stars Simran as Nambi Narayanan’s wife. Shahrukh Khan in Hindi and Suriya in Tamil version have made their cameos. Apart from directing this film, Madhavan has also taken charge of writing it and even produced it.

Producers council proposes a new rule for OTT release

Tollywood has witnessed a series of unsuccessful films in the recent past. Films like Ante Sundaraniki, Pakka Commercial, The Warrior, Thank You, Virata Parvam, and Happy Birthday have all failed to match audience expectations. The poor box-office numbers have made trade circles quite anxious. In addition to this, immediate OTT release has also made things quite difficult for distributors and exhibitors.

This is why the Tollywood producers council has decided to regulate the OTT releases time frame as well. Small budget movies within Rs 6 crores budget can be released on OTT after 4 weeks. Similarly, a proposal has been made that for medium and high-budget films 10 weeks of a gap should be maintained for OTT and theatrical release.

With films releasing on OTT anyhow, audiences are being extremely choosy on what movies to watch and what to avoid. This has made things quite tough for filmmakers. In addition to this, the ticket prices hike is also a reason for many family audiences choosing to wait for the movies to stream online.

With so many factors contributing to poor trade, it needs to be seen if just increasing this gap will help the filmmakers or not

Ravi Teja’s Ramarao On Duty is all set to hit the screens this week and the recently released trailer has created a good buzz for the film. While we have seen a series of box-office disasters in the last couple of months, fans and film lovers are hoping this action entertainer can change the trend.

Meanwhile, director Sarath Mandava speaking at the pre-release event asked the film lovers to use their own judgment and not that of Twitter.

“The film is releasing on 29th this month and I have only one request to make. Don’t follow those useless tweets and come to a judgment on the film. If the film is bad, you’ll automatically know by 2 PM. Watch it if you want but don’t depend on Twitter for movie review,” said the director

Ravi Teja’s Ramarao On Duty stars Divyansha Kaushik and Rajisha Vijayan. Another interesting fact about the film is that actor Venu Thottempudi is making a comeback with this films after a gap of 8 years.

Ramarao On Duty also stars Naresh, Pavithra Lokesh, and Rahul Ramakrishna playing prominent roles. It is being bankrolled by Sudhakar Cherukuri under the banner of SLV cinemas along with RT Teamworks.

When you think of the greatest love stories of all time, there are perhaps a few masterpieces that pop into your head immediately. The classic love stories are full of passion and are so epic that it makes us dream of our own Prince or Princess Charming. Sita Ramam is an ageless love story. Yet the love story looks very fresh and beautiful, for ages to come.

The Telugu theatrical trailer of Sita Ramam shows the crucial events in the epic love story. An orphan soldier Lieutenant Ram’s life changes after he gets a letter from a girl named Sita. He meets her and love blossoms between them. When he comes back to his camp in Kashmir, he sends a letter to Sita which won’t reach her.

After 20 years, Rashmika Mandanna and Tharun Bhascker deal with the task of giving the letter to Sita. There’s some timebound and when they are unable to find her, they choose to find Ram. It’s more difficult than finding Sita. The biggest hurdle is definitely Ram’s superior Brigadier Vishnu Sharma (Sumanth).

Everything about this love story is so epic and both the journeys- the love story of Ram and Sita in the 60s and the search to find them in the 80s are so authentic. When you have a perfect team of actors and craftsmen for a film of its enormity, it will turn out to be a memorable and classic love story.

Dulquer Salmaan and Mrunal Thakur look charming with their screen presence, wherein the chemistry shared by the two is magical. Rashmika Mandanna’s heroic role and Sumanth’s negative-shaded role are other positive aspects.

Sita Ramam will have a simultaneous release in Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam languages on August 5th. It also stars Gautham Vasudev Menon, Tharun Bhascker, and Prakash Raj among others.

The Telugu Film Industry is going through a tough period right now. Most medium-budget or small-budget movies are struggling to pull audiences into the theatres and this has put various questions across the minds of producers and distributors.

Just recently, movies like Ante Sundaraniki, The Warrior, and Thank You have underperformed at the box office. At a time like this, Akhil and director Surender Reddy have made an excellent decision.

For a long time now, there has been news floating around that Akhil and Surender Reddy have not taken any remuneration for Agent. Now, producer Anil Sunkara has confirmed this news. Akhil and Surender Reddy have decided to put the entire budget on the film to ease the burden on the producer also.

They have decided to take any remunerations only from the profit of the film. This is a brilliant step by them. Nowadays we see that 60 % of the movie’s budget is spent on remunerations alone.

Due to this move, Agent will have an extra budget that can be spent, not worrying about remunerations. There is also a lot of hype for Agent and the teaser was also well received. If everything goes according to plan, we can expect Akhil’s career highest grosser. It is expected to release during Christmas this year.

Agent also stars Mammooty and Sakshi Vaidya in lead roles. HipHop Tamizha is the music director of the film.
