Gopichand’s Pakka Commercial Streaming on OTT now

Gopichand’s Pakka Commercial is now streaming on OTT. The action entertainer released last month but failed to live up to the expectations and performed poorly at the office. Starring Rashi Khanna in lead opposite Goichand, the film is now streaming on Aha.

Pakka Commercial is a story of ideological clashes of a father and son shown in an out-and-out commercial way. Suryanarayana Murthy (Sathyaraj) is a judge who walked away from service because he couldn’t give justice to the needy in a case. Lucky (Gopichand) is his son and a lawyer who is the polar opposite and is someone who can go to any extent to make money. What happens when their paths cross is what Pakka Commercial is about.

Maruthi has directed this project which was bankrolled by UV Creations and GA2 Arts. Both Gopichand and Maruthi had pinned high hopes on this project which eventually failed much to their disappointment

A lot of hopes have been placed on this week’s Tollywood releases Sita Ramam and Bimbisara. Both the films have managed to get positive buzz thanks to interesting trailers. Now it’s up to the audience to decide the fate of these films.

Sita Ramam is getting quite a positive talk from many sections and looks like director Hanu Raghavapudi has delivered on his promise. The film has been getting unanimous positive reviews all over. And as the director said during the pre-release event, he has indeed kept his promise of delivering a good second half.

The second half of the film is getting great applause. During the event, Hanu had accepted his general weakness of delivering dull second half and termed it ‘second half syndrome’. However, looking at the positive word of mouth and special applause the climax is getting, it looks like the director has stood on his promise.

Kalyan Ram’s Bimbisara has been released today in theatres and the opening numbers look extremely promising. After the recent lull of Telugu films at the box office, Bimbisara is on track to change Tollywood’s fortunes.

The advance bookings of the film are phenomenal, and the best in recent times. The early morning shows and the noon shows are expected to open with 100 % occupancies in most territories. This is not only a great sign for the film but also a great sign for the industry.

Everything seems to be going right for Bimbisara and if it gets positive word of mouth from audiences, it will have a sensational opening day at the box office, followed by an even better weekend performance.

There has never been this much hype before for a Kalyan Ram movie and as JR.NTR said in the pre-release event of Bimbisara, that we will now look at Kalyan Ram’s career before and after Bimbisara.

It is also one of Kalyan Ram’s most ambitious projects, shot on a budget of 40 crores. But if the movie strikes the right chord with audiences, it will breeze past the breakeven mark. This is just the start and only time will tell whether Bimbisara can bring back audiences to the theatres or not.

Bimbisara also stars Catherine Tresa, Srinivas Reddy, Samyuktha Menon and Vennela Kishore in promising roles. K Vashishta is the director of the movie and NTR Arts has produced the film. MM Keeravani is the music director of the film.

After the blockbuster success of Vikram, Kamal Haasan’s Indian 2 has seen a revival and will go on floors soon. Kajal Agarwal will be seen opposite the senior actor in this film. The film was earlier reported to be shelved due to massive differences between Kamal Haasan, Shankar, and Lyca Productions. It has been 16 years since the release of Mahesh Babu’s iconic film Pokiri. To this day, it is celebrated by fans everywhere. When the film was released initially, it became an instant classic. Mahesh’s slang, his mannerisms, and the most memorable, his punchy dialogues in the film made for a brilliant commercial film.

It was one of the most successful films at the time, amassing a whopping 66 crores at the box office. This is especially impressive considering the fact that Pokiri was released in 2006 while movies that are releasing now are struggling to even cross 50 crores.

Bimbisara And Sita Ramam Pre-Release Business Details

The Telugu Film Industry has been going through a tough time lately post the COVID-19 pandemic. Especially in the recent past, the medium budget/ small scale films have struggled to generate any interest among film fans. As a result of this, the theatrical market has seen a huge drop in collections.

The last few releases like Pakka Commercial, The Warrior, Thank You, Happy Birthday and Ramarao On Duty have been disastrous at the box office. Even good movies that generated a positive talk like Ante Sundaraniki crashed at the box office.

Now all hopes lie on Kalyan Ram’s Bimbisara and Dulquer Salmaan’s Sita Ramam. Both these films have generated a decent buzz among audiences thanks to the trailers. Both the films have also been promoted heavily with constant interviews.

The pre-release events of both the films were also massive successes. JR.NTR’s fiery speech at Bimbisara’s event and Prabhas’ speech at Sita Ramam’s pre-release function have raised the expectations from both the movies. Both Bimbisara and Sita Ramam’s Telugu version worldwide theatrical rights have been valued at 15 crores.

నందమూరి కల్యాణ్ రామ్ తన కెరీర్ లోనే అత్యంత ప్రతిష్టాత్మకంగా, భారీ బడ్జెట్ తో బింబిసార సినిమాని నిర్మించారు. త్రిగర్తలాధినేత బింబిసారుడికి నేటి కాలానికి వున్న సంబంధం ఏంటీ? .. అసలు బింబిసారుడు ఈ యుగంలో ఎలా ప్రతక్షమయ్యాడు అనే ఆసక్తికర అంశాల నేపథ్యంలో ఈ సినిమాని మల్లిడి వశిష్ట అనే కొత్త దర్శకుడు రూపొందించారు. ఇప్పటికే విడుదలైన టీజర్ ట్రైలర్ లు ప్రేక్షకుల్లో చక్కని ఆసక్తిని కలిగించాయి.

ఇదే సినిమాతో పాటు దుల్కర్ సల్మాన్ నటించిన ‘సీతారామం’. హను రాఘవపూడి తెరకెక్కించారు. వైజయంతీ మూవీస్ సమర్పణలో స్వప్న సినిమా బ్యానర్ పై భారీ చిత్రాల నిర్మాత సి. అశ్వనీదత్ ఈ సినిమాని నిర్మించారు. ఈ చిత్రం టీజర్ ట్రైలర్ లను చూస్తుంటే ఒక అందమైన ప్రేమకథతో పాటు యుద్ధ నేపథ్యంలో జరిగే సినిమాగా అనిపిస్తుంది. కాగా విశాల్ చంద్రశేఖర్ అందించిన అద్భుతమైన సంగీతం ఈ సినిమాకి బాగా ప్రాచుర్యం తీసుకు వచ్చింది. ఈ సినిమాతో మృణాల్ ఠాకూర్ తెలుగు సినీ పరిశ్రమకు హీరోయిన్ గా పరిచయం అవుతున్నారు. అలాగే నేషనల్ క్రష్ రష్మిక మందన్న కీలక పాత్రలో నటించిన ఈ సినిమాలో ఇతర పాత్రల్లో సుమంత్, తరుణ్ భాస్కర్ గైతమ్ మీనన్ నటించారు.

ఈ రెండు చిత్రాలు ప్రపంచ వ్యాప్తంగా ప్రి రిలీజ్ బిజినెస్ 15 కోట్లకు జరుపుకున్నట్లు సమాచారం. రెండు చిత్రాల పై కూడా ప్రేక్షకులకు మంచి ఆసక్తి ఉన్నందున కాస్త మంచి టాక్ వస్తే ఆ మేరకు కలెక్షన్లు కూడా రావడం పెద్ద కష్టమేమీ కాదు. పైగా చక్కని ప్రచారం వల్ల ఆన్లైన్ బుకింగ్స్ కూడా రెండు చిత్రాలకు బాగున్నాయి.

గత మూడు నెలలుగా సరైన విజయం లేని తెలుగు సినిమా పరిశ్రమకు బింబిసార మరియు సీతారామం సినిమాలు గట్టి హిట్ లు సాధించి లాభాల బాట పట్టేలా చేస్తాయని ఆశిద్దాం.

ఆర్ ఆర్ ఆర్ లాంటి భారీ విజయం తరువాత యంగ్ టైగర్ ఎన్టీఆర్ మరియు కొరటాల శివ దర్శకత్వంలో ఎన్టీఆర్ 30వ వస్తున్న సినిమా వస్తున్న విషయం తెలిసిందే. తన కెరీర్ లో 30వ సినిమాగా దర్శకుడు కొరటాల శివతో కలిసి ఒక భారీ ప్రాజెక్ట్ ఎంచుకున్నారు ఎన్టీఆర్. ఇక ఈ సినిమా నుంచి ఎన్టీఆర్ పుట్టినరోజు కానుకగా వచ్చిన ఒక మాస్ మోషన్ పోస్టర్ గ్లింప్స్ అభిమానులను విపరీతంగా ఆకట్టుకుంది. ఎన్టీఆర్ అభిమానుల్లో ఈ సినిమా పై భారీ స్థాయిలో అంచనాలు ఉన్నాయి. ఈ సినిమా ఎప్పుడెప్పుడు విడుదల అవుతుందా అని నందమూరి అభిమానులు ఆసక్తిగా ఎదురు చూస్తున్నారు.

అయితే ఈ చిత్రం వారు అనుకున్నంత తొందరగా సెట్స్ పైకి వెళ్లకపోవడంతో ఎన్టీఆర్ అభిమానులు నిరాశ చెందారు. ఆర్ ఆర్ ఆర్ వంటి సినిమా తరువాత రాబోయే సినిమా కావడంతో ఈ చిత్రాన్ని అటు ఎన్టీఆర్ ఇటు దర్శకుడు కొరటాల శివ ఎంతో జాగ్రత్తగా మలిచే ఆలోచనలో ఉన్నారు. అందుకే పక్కాగా స్ర్కిప్ట్ పనులు అన్నీ సిద్ధం చేసుకున్న తరువాతే ఈ సినిమాని సెట్స్ పైకి తీసుకు వెళ్లాలన్న ప్రయత్నంలో ఎన్టీఆర్ – కొరటాల శివ ఉంటే అది అర్ధం చేసుకోకుండా సినిమాకి సంబందించిన ఏ అప్డేట్ లు రాట్లేదు.. సినిమా ఉంటుందా లేదా అన్న అనుమానాలు పెట్టుకుంటున్నారు.

అయితే ఎన్టీఆర్ – కొరటాల సినిమాకి కల్యాణ్ రామ్ కూడా ఒక నిర్మాతగా వ్యవహరిస్తున్నారు.ఆయన హీరోగా నటించిన తాజా చిత్రమైన ‘బింబిసార’ సినిమా ప్రచార కార్యక్రమాలలో భాగంగా ఆయన ఎన్టీఆర్ 30వ సినిమాకి సంబంధించిన విషయాన్ని ప్రస్తావించటం జరిగింది. రాజమౌళి దర్శకత్వంలో వచ్చిన ‘ఆర్ ఆర్ ఆర్ ఏ స్థాయి విజయాన్ని సాధించిందనేది అందరికీ తెలిసిన విషయమే కదా. మరి ఆ తరువాత చేయబోయే సినిమా విషయంలో ప్రేక్షకులకి భారీ స్థాయి అంచనాలు ఉంటాయి. ఆ అంచనాలకి ఏమాత్రం తగ్గని సినిమా చేయాలి కాబట్టే అందుకు తగ్గట్టుగా ఆ సినిమా పనులు జరుగుతున్నాయి అని కల్యాణ్ రామ్ తెలిపారు.

అక్కడితో ఆగకుండా మరెంతో కీర్తి వంతమైన పేరు ప్రఖ్యాతలు కూడా మూత గట్టుకుంది. ఇటివలే ప్రకటించిన నేషనల్ అవార్డులలో ఏకంగా ఐదు అవార్డులను సొంతం చేసుకోవడం విశేషం. ఉత్తమ నటుడుగా సూర్య అవార్డు అందుకుంటే ఉత్తమ నటిగా అపర్ణా బాలమురళి అవార్డును గెలుచుకున్నారు. ఇవే కాకుండా ఉత్తమ చిత్రం, ఉతమ స్క్రీన్ ప్లే మరియు ఉత్తమ దర్శకుడు క్యాటగిరిలో కూడా అవార్డును గెలుచుకుంది సూరరై పొట్రు.. మొత్తంగా ఐదు అవార్డులను గెలుచుకోవడం విశేషం.

ఇక గత ఏడాది మరో ఓటిటి సినిమాతో ఎనలేని గౌరవాన్ని సొంతం చేసుకున్నారు సూర్య. అదే జై భీమ్ సినిమా. యధార్థ సంఘటనల ఆధారంగా తెరకెక్కించిన ఆ సినిమాకు ప్రశంసల జల్లులు కురిశాయి. ఆ ప్రవాహం అక్కడితో ఆగకుండా ఇప్పుడు ప్రపంచ వ్యాప్తంగా భారతీయ చిత్ర జెండాని ఎగరవేయబోతుంది జై భీమ్ చిత్రం.

ఇండియన్ ఫిల్మ్ ఫెస్టివల్ ఆఫ్ మెల్బోర్న్ లో నాలుగు అవార్డులకు జై భీమ్ ఎంపికైంది. ఉత్తమ నటుడు (సూర్య), ఉత్తమ నటి (లిజోమొల్ జోస్) , ఉత్తమ దర్శకుడు (జ్ఞాన వేల్)మరియు ఉత్తమ చిత్రం అవార్డులకు గానూ ఈ చిత్రం ఎంపికైంది.
