Rumours were strong that shankar was planning a movie based on novel on Velpari which will have Tamil Star Hero Suriya in the titular role. To everyone’s disbelief this blockbuster filmmaker chose Ranveer singh for Velpari adaptation.
According to sources, this novel will be made into a movie series with three parts. Having missed this golden opportunity to become a Pan India star, Suriya fans are in utter disbelief and angry on director Shankar. Some are also not happy with a Bollywood star playing a Tamil Legend.
Velpari might start rolling in 2023 and the budget is assumed to be over 1000 crores. As the director is known to make huge and lavish films, this period drama would be as grand as possible according to Bollywood media.
