Samantha planning to file case against YouTubers for rumours


For years now, Samantha has been a target of various YouTube channels and anonymous social media troll accounts. The actress, however, took all these things in her stride and responded with her work and massive success. However, now the actress has decided to take an action on some YouTube channels for spreading baseless rumors against her.

Recently, several YouTube channels started stating the actress is facing some severe health issues and has been taking treatment for quite some time. Vexed by these rumours, she has now decided to give it back to them. The actress is reportedly planning to register a cyber crime case on these channels.

Back in October last year, she took similar steps on a YouTube channel. Post her divorce from Naga Chaitanya, Samantha was a target of several trolls and baseless videos from several private YouTube channels.

The actress back then filed a defamation case against three YouTube channels and analyst CL Venkata Rao. The case was filed and the hearing was held in the Kukatpally court as well.

Chiyaan Vikram’s Cobra was released in theatre on August 31st and opened to excellent numbers on the opening day at the box office. Due to the Ganesha festival, the film managed to attract audiences to the cinema halls.

But the film soon dropped in the coming days after the word of mouth quickly spread. Even though the reviews weren’t completely negative, the slow-paced narration in the second half killed the interest of the audience.

The Telugu version of the film completely collapsed whereas the Tamil version managed to post average collections till the first weekend. But now, even the Tamil version of the film crashed on the first Monday at the box office.

The Tamil version of the film only managed to collect 2 crores in gross worldwide. Cobra has a lot of potential to deliver a venomous blockbuster but in the end, Cobra seems to have shed its true skin, ending up as another failure at the box office for Vikram.

With just a few days left for the release of Bollywood’s biggest and most ambitious project, the hype and buzz are very promising. Brahmastra has been in the works for over 10+ years now and finally, the vision of the director yan Mukherji is coming to fruition.

Ayan has been very passionate about this story and has spent a lot of years fine-tuning the film. He left no stone unturned and wanted to make sure that the film is perfect. Ayan even went to SS Rajamouli and K Vijayendra Prasad to ask for any suggestions and changes in the story. He even incorporated some changes suggested by Vijayendra Prasad.

After Rajamouli saw Ayan’s determination and vision, he decided to involve himself in the project. Rajamouli is presenting the Telugu version of the film for which he has been actively part of the promotions. This seems to have worked massively as the Telugu version bookings are excellent. This is unexpected for a dubbed Hindi film.

As long as the content is good, the film will open to huge numbers for the Telugu version. The Telugu audience has always been very kind to good content and this will be no different.

While Tollywood is one a high after the massive success of recent films like Karthikeya 2, Sita Ramam, and Bimbisara, the same can’t be said about many tier 2 heroes in the industry. Most of them are in a low phase and suffering from continuous disasters leading to buyers’ disinteres. The hero remunerations have now suffered a massive dent because of this.

Nani, Vijay Devarakonda, Naga Chaitanya, Ram , Nithin, Sai Dharam Tej, Varun Tej, Raviteja and many others are in a disastrous phase delivering multiple flops in succession. Their last few films have failed miserably at the box office as well as in bringing the audience to the theatres.

In the last few months, Nani had Ante Sundaraniki while Vijay Deverakonda had disastrous Liger. Similarly, Sai Dharam Tej faced failures with Republic and Varun Tej saw the disaster through Ghani. Ram’s The Warrior also faced a similar fate. Nithiin and Ravi Teja are also having a bad run at the box office with successive failures.

After the massive success of Krack in 2021, the Mass Maharaja had Khiladi and Ramarao On Duty that tanked at box office. Similarly, Nithiin had Macherla Niyojakavargam and Rang De which failed at box-office. He also had an OTT release Maestro which received cold response.

Most of the Heros movies are ending up with single-digit shares if the talk is bad. This has resulted in many of them slashing their remunerations for their upcoming films. A lot is riding on these heroes’ future projects and if the phase continues any further, they might have to rethink their strategy as well as hero remunerations coming down yet again.

To add fuel to the fire, netizens started boycotting Bollywood films for silly reasons. Aamir’s Laal Singh Chaddha and Akshay’s Raksha Bandhan failed largely due to a lack of originality but the boycott campaigns may have had some part to play.

But now, this boycott trend has crossed all limits. Netizens have decided to boycott Brahmastra, which is supposed to be based on India’s culture and heritage. Brahmastra is the only hope for any theatrical revival of Bollywood and all hopes are pinned on this movie.

But some sections are targeting the film just for the sake of it. The industry is worried that the collections might be affected due to this. But as long as the content is good, the word of mouth will help the film to attract audiences.

Both Puri Jagannadh and his son are in a very low phase in their careers at the moment. After the disastrous performance of Liger at the box office, nobody seems to be interested in working with Puri. Even Vijay canceled his next film with Puri titled Jana Gana Mana.

Puri’s son Akash is also struggling to make a name for himself in the industry. Akash has had back-to-back disasters in the form of Mehbooba and Romantic. Mehbooba was written and directed by Puri while Romantic was written by Puri and directed by Anil Paduri.

The problem with Puri and Akash is that they are still stuck with the old-age method of choosing films. There is no change in their approach to films. While everyone seems to be adapting to a new kind of cinema, they are stuck in the past.

Nonetheless, since no one is willing to work with Puri, he has decided to do his next film with his son. Puri’s close circles are saying that he is planning a strong comeback film for both himself as well as for his son.
