Vijay’s Varisu under Dil Raju production is all set for a Sankranti release. The film will be directly competing with Chiranjeevi’s Waltair Veerayya and Balakrishna’s Veera Simha Reddy and there has been massive hype and controversy around this clash.

The Telugu Film Producer’s Council has taken serious objection to Dil Raju’s Tamil film Varisu releasing during the festive season. They are of the opinion that as discussed earlier and agreed by Raju himself, Telugu releases must be given priority during Dusshera and Sankranti.

Dil Raju has a sizable power in Nizam region and his decision to release Varisu will obviously mean lesser theatres for Chiru and Balayya’s movies. The senior producer has stood rock firm behind the movie and has specifically mentioned that he will not back down from the race despite anyone’s objections.

Apart from this, it has been observed that Dil Raju has also been quite keen on keeping Vijay and his fans happy throughout. Varisu is the first Tamil film for the producer and he has given record remuneration to Vijay which is the highest of his entire career. He has also been addressing Vijay as ‘Sir’ in all his media interactions and social media postings. This special treatment has surprised many as the production company never did this for previous star hero movie

Varisu will release on January 12th 2023 and co-stars Rashmika Mandanna. Vamsi Paidipally is directing this movie which also stars Sangeetha, Radhika Sarathkumar, Prabhu, and Shaam.
