Shakuntala Devi, popularly known as Human-Computer. She was a great writer and a mental calculator. She had unbelievable arithmetic abilities and she was able to perform any calculations within seconds. She also wrote many books and novels on mathematics, puzzles, astrology and she was the first woman in India to study and write a book on homosexuality. She was honored with a place in The Guinness Book of World Records in 1982 for her unique talents. She was also into politics but was not successful.

Last year, a biopic on Shakuntala Devi was announced with the same title. Vidya Balan played the title role in this project directed by Anu Menon. It was scheduled to hit the screens on 8th May 2020 but could not see its theatrical release due to the COVID-19 outbreak. The makers of this film have announced that it will be streaming directly on the OTT platform. Amazon Prime which acquired the digital rights are planning its premieres from 31st July 2020. Bollywood Baadshah Shah Rukh Khan will be giving voice over to this movie. Shakuntala Devi also features Jisshu Sengupta, Sanya Malhotra, Amit Sadh in other supporting roles. Sony Pictures and Abundantia Entertainments bankrolled this project while Sachin-Jigar and Tanishk Bagchi composed the music. Sriram Ganapathy worked as a cinematographer and Chandan Arora as an editor.
